Discharge question - worried about another MC

Hi all

Sorry about this TMI question! I am 5wks & 6 days today but last night had some discharge that was brown & little faint pink - what do think? Should I tell the doctor or wait and see if it happens again? I have just been reading about all the things discharge could be (let alone the pink bit - v. worrying) and am now worrying that it might be some kind of infection - or of course the beginnings of another MC.

Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks. Vicky

Thanks very much for replying. I'm going totally mad! I haven't had any more since although I thought I saw something brownish this morning. I have a scan next Thursday but that seems a long long way off and I'm not holding out much hope. I have had two MC's is the last 10 months which is making me very negative about this one working out. I just wish I knew there was something in there! Vicky

VickyP Hang in there! I hope that everything turns out okay for you. I know that Thursday seems so far away. Try to relax, I know, easier said than done. Get a 5000 piece puzzle and concentrate on that over the weekend and when you're not working. It's not much but it may help to distract you. Try to keep a PMA. I will be praying for you. Noone deserves more than one MC in a lifetime and you have had 2 in less than a year!?!? What does your RE say? Considering your history are they cautioning you or are they telling you not to worry?

Thanks so much for your lovely response and what good advice - a puzzle is probably just the thing to take my mind off it. I will go out immediately and buy one.
I have only seen one doctor so far and not my usual one and he just referred me for an early scan but didn't make any comment on whether I should be worried or not. Like you (I think you have had 2 MC's as well?) I have had one natural MC at 6wks and one missed at 12wks. I think after you've had a missed you just never know what's going on. Oh well only 6 days to go.

Sorry I havent really any advice. Just wanted to say hang in there and try and keep busy to take your mind off it. I know its hard because you have suffered 2 miscarriages, but you did carry your little boy to full term, so you can do it again!

Thanks so much for response all the encouragment really helps and your right I should focus on the fact that I have done it once. I see you have a natural BFP - it's SO mad isn't it getting pregnant naturally after all the hard hard work for the first one!Love VIcky

When I was worried about early miscarriage I went and had weekly betas done to give me an indication of my HCG levels. I have also had an early m/c previously and a bio chem pregnancy. This helped put my mind at ease. Your doc should be able to give you a referral for a blood test, although the results might come back any sooner than your next scan, depending on your pathology clinic.
