Hello Girls!

Laura, good luck tomorrow! I'll be thinking about you!

Melo, you're getting more hcg and progesterone tests tomorrow, right? Good luck! Let us know what you learn.

Beth, I'm glad to hear you're starting a new cycle. I'm excited for you!

I have my baseline u/s and bw tomorrow. If all goes well, I'll start follistim on Friday. Yipeeee! Things are finally moving.

Catch up....

Post by liz13 »

Hi girls...It took me awhile to catch up...so much news!

Brandy- Congratulations! Things sound great!!!!

Laura- I hope things went well yesterday...think positive, sticky thoughts!

Yellow-It sounds like you are on a roll now too...itsn't crazy how time flies when you have a focus? Then it goes in slow motion while you wait for that blood test!!! cruel...

Melo-I know it is hard not to worry, but once I had a progesterone level of 92 and I WASN'T pregnant....so it doesn't always indicate.....Good luck with the test (I think you had it yesterday??)

Joyanna-Good luck...forward progress and a plan are great!

So...I met with RE yesterday. He wants to do one round (maybe two) of injectibles with IUI. I am not sure how I really feel about this, but I think I am willing to try. We (my DH) and I talked about the cost and how we would almost like to cut to the chase...so to speak. The RE then said he would cover the cost of the drug if we wanted to try it....so we said OK. I am still going to talk to my regular doctor and get her opinion. I really trust and value what she thinks. His reasoning is that he said Pregancy cures 80% of endo cases. If my son "cured" me maybe I won't need to do IVF after all.???? I don't know what I think. I have done 6 IUI, but all with Clomid and a reg. OB. My RE hates Clomid, so he wants to do the injectible and he really thinks it will work....What do you ladies think????

Anyway, no matter what it does feel good to be back on track. Am I crazy, but I am "excited??"

Good luck and baby dust to us all!

Hi all!

I'll catch up more later with everyone; just wanted to let you all know that my transfer went well yesterday. The embryo we transferred kept it's high rating after the thaw so that was good- it was frozen at d7 so my blood test will be on 5/6- the days can't fly by fast enough!! I'm just taking it easy today too so I'll get back on in a couple days again. Take care everyone! Thanks for all the nice sticky thoughts!!!

Hey Laura - Glad it went well! Thats great that the embryo did well in the thaw! A good strong one - that bodes very well! Is the embby already a blast then too? That also means your 2ww is not quite as long! Phew.

Yellow and Liz - glad to see things moving for you to. Liz I know what you mean about just want to "cut to the chase", when your in the middle of this you have a really screwed sense of time and every month feels like about 3 years! All the best in any case.

Beth - hope you and beanie are going well.

What are you other guys up to?

My test yesterday - and am doing the nurses head in now - as begged her to give me another test in 4 days!! The HCG is still rising okay, and the progesterone went from 47 to 54 (or in USA measurements 14 to about 16). HOWEVER wasn't until the test today I realized that the reading of 70 was THIS pregnancy (not my first) and there had been a big old drop to 47!! So kind of relieved to see it rising slightly - but still a bit cautious given it had dropped to start off with.

Am however starting to feel quite queasy (yaayyy!). Have the U/S on 5/6 - with Laura's beta, Yellows ER and the U/S - shaping up to be a big week - sending everyone lots of positive vibes!!

Laura, glad to hear things went well. I hope you are resting and enjoying your mom inlaw doing everything! That would be more stressful for me than doing everything myself, so God bless ya!

Mel, you are right to ask for more tests, who can blame you for being nervous. Queasiness is a good sign! yay!
by the way, there is no little beanie for me yet! but maybe that's a premonition from you, thanks!

Yellow, how did your bw go? Did you start Follistim? I was on that with my last cycle (and by the way, my ER was May 5th when I got pg with DD!!!), but this cycle I am changed to Gonal F, don't know why, or even what the difference is.

Liz, I don't know what kind of advice to give you (if you are even looking for some...) I have never done IUI. Is endo the reason you did IVF in the first place? Have you and DH actually tried on your own to get pregnant? (before this RE meeting, I mean...) good luck to you.

take care everyone!
no news from me, just trying to stay awake and not bite DH's head off all the time! darn bcp's....

Hi gals!

I'm surviving- 5 days down, 7 to go till my beta! Today I bought a two pack of FREDs- I shouldn't have but I did! I think I'll test this Thursday (it'll be 7 days after my transfer) because I have to work Friday night and also, my mother-in-law will leave on Friday morning and so I'll be lifting my ds then so I might as well see...I hope I don't regret it! That day is also my son's 2nd b-day so I'm hoping it's a lucky day!! I'm feeling fine so I guess that's good...

Mel- We did transfer a blast so that is nice that it's a little shorter of a wait like you said. That's great your numbers are all going up and I hope it's a good sign that so many of us have things on 5/6! I'll be hoping your u/s goes great and you see your precious little embie doing just fine!!

Beth- You're funny about the mil thing! It really has been good because I just felt like I'd be lifting my son (he probably weighs about 30 lbs) so much and I'd be so paranoid that it would prevent implantation even thought that's silly. Hope you're surviving the bcps- how many more days on them??

Yellow- How are things going? Are you getting excited for next week? So you'll have your ER and ET both next week, right? I'll be hoping all goes well for you on 5/6 too!

Liz- Sounds like your RE is really behind doing the injectible IUI with you- that's awesome he'd even pay for the drugs! I'd surely try it if he thinks it could work. What did you and dh decide?

Hi to everyone else- what's new with you all? We need updates!!

Hey Girls! I've missed you. A nasty stomach virus invaded our house! First DD was sick, then me and DH is just getting over it. I had a fever the day after I started stims. I called the office because I was worried the follistim would interfere with the fever or vice versa. The RE said there was no problem and to continue the injections. That was a relief.

So, today I had my first u/s after starting stims. I get the official word an hour from now, but I saw lots of big follicles!

Laura, so glad to hear the transfer went well! I'm sending sticky vibes and baby dust!

Beth, glad to hear 5/5 is a lucky day! I hate those BCPs too! I hope I never have to take them again. So does DH. :)

Mel, I think you were right to request another test. I was just thinking this morning how great it would be if we could just test ourselves for all these levels somehow. We'd all be sending samples to the lab every 15 minutes!

liz13, hmm. I've never tried IUI so I don't know. That's pretty awesome that you'd have the drug costs covered. It may be worth a try if you feel like you have the time.

Joyanna, thanks for thinking of us! Keep us posted on your progress. You are wise to start getting ready now.

It's finally sunny today. I think I'll try to get outside for a little while!

Hi gals!

I decided to hold off one more day till Friday am to do FRED because I'm nervous...I want to be positive but I keep going back and forth with being positive/negative...I feel like normal and I think that's bad for some reason...Thank you all for your good thoughts!!

Joyanna- Good luck with getting ready for your next cycle. It really does take a lot to get emotionally and physically ready for a cycle- especially a fresh one. Best wishes!

Yellow- Sorry you and your family were sick- no fun! That's great that you were still able to start your stims. How was your u/s?

Will let you all know what happens tomorrow...

Laura, you are very strong to hold off one more day. Reading your post brought back all those feelings! I feel for you. Let us know how you're doing.

My ultrasound went well -- lots of follicles growing. They asked me to lower the dose.

I can never guess what they're going to say. With IVF #1, I felt like I had watermelons in my stomach. I thought for sure they'd lower the dose. They kept it the same. With IVF #2, I wasn't feeling much. I thought they'd increase the dose. They kept it the same. With this cycle I thought, Oh, I get it. They keep the dose the same! And, they lowered it. :?

I'm kind of glad they lowered it. Maybe it'll mean less bloating. I go back tomorrow for another u/s. I'm getting close!

Unfortunately a BFN on my FRED this morning... Now I of course wish I didn't even do it but oh well too late... I am trying not to be too down and negative but it's hard- I'm sad...I thought I'd do ok if this cycle didn't work knowing that we have two more frosties and we will do another FET but I think I will take it harder than I thought... I'll probably do the other FRED on Monday morning so that if it's neg again I'll be prepared for my beta on Tuesday and plan for the worst...Then if by some miracle it's not negative, I'll be thrilled...but realistically I'm not couting on that... I feel almost guilty for feeling depressed since I am already blessed with ds...Thanks all for your positive thoughts.

Just to update again really quick, I took the other FRED today and it's still negative :( ...I was sort of expecting it... I think I will plan on my beta being a bfn tomorrow and if it's not, then I'll be thrilled but I'm really not counting on it... I know some gals defy the odds with a bunch of neg hpts and somehow still a bfp beta but I just have a feeling this time did not work for us... I'm starting to think on to the next and possibly last FET and last cycle ever... Am I crazy to think of wanting to move right on to the next FET asap or whenever they'll allow me to?? I guess I know we have two more frosties and I want to try with them and then I believe that'll be it for us... I feel so very blessed to have our ds and I will/would never take him for granted... I do think I'll be a little sad to have an only child but on the other hand, some wonderful women on here try forever and never get the blessing that we all have... So that's enough about me... How's everyone else doing this fine Monday morning???!!!!!?????

Laura, I'm sorry to hear about your negative FRED. :( I think I know exactly how you feel. I thought I'd be alright if my last cycle didn't work, and I was still really upset when I got the official BFN. I do feel so fortunate to have my DD, but somehow it's still really hard to take. I found that spoiling my DD a little helped a lot! That and a good cry. I don't think you're crazy to want to start again right away. I know it seems like this train can't move fast enough! We decided to take one month between my last BFN and this current cycle. I think it helped me relax a bit, but I know everyone is different. Good luck no matter what you decide. (And I'm still holding a little hope that you'll be shocked by a positive beta. :) )

I triggered last night! My ER is tomorrow! I'm so bloated I can hardly move. I'm getting nervous and excited!
