I don't want to upset anyone. I am not here to brag about what I do have. I just wanted support and information about IVF. It seems everywhere I look, I am ignored because I DO have children. I won't post if it is going to offend people, but I would like to find somewhere to just get answers and talk about it. I know the emotional part of IVF is different between those who do not have children yet and those who do, but I thought the medical part of IVF was pretty similar. Just my thoughts! Thank you for making me feel welcomed though!

Kristin,
Your not offending me, but I really do not belong to this thread so I can't speak for evey one. There is also and message forum for IVF on ivillage.com link is http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-ppivf. I know there are several people on this board that have more then 1 child and is doing IVF. You might want to check it out. I am sure no one there will have a problem with you already having children. If you are going through IVF these boards are so helpful so I hope you find a place you will feel welcome.

Welcome JHarris and Kristen! Kristen, I definitely think you can stay on the thread...I think as long as you are sensitive to the fact that many of us are on this thread for emotional support for being childless when we really want children as well as for informational support re. IVF, we can all share our experience together...and hopefully achieve all of our dreams of our first or next BFP on this cycle!! There are my 2 cents on the topic...for what it's worth! I'll add you to the list!!

JHarris...you start stimming this Saturday? That's great! When is your estimated ER/ET? Let me know, and I will get you added to our list!

thank you! I have edited my first post and my signature. I am here for as emotional support as I can give to you all. I have had fertility issues before (it took 2 1/2 years to get pregnant), so I can relate in that aspect. I hope that I can give as much as I can receive. Thank you again!

Wow!! I am so far behind. Ads - thank you for the FAB list. Appreciate it. I am hoping for June but it's looking more like July. I just got AF today. I tell you I always think I can handle her, but I really can't no matter what. Unfortunately, I have a great DH but not a sensitive. He doesn't ask me how I am doing, no it's more what do i want to do for dinner. I know he is great in his own way but right now I am so glad that I found this board. I am having a glass of wine, listening to my iTunes and hoping that we have so many BFPs on this thread it will be memerable!!

Hang in all....

Welcome Kristen! I have to be honest, I would love to have 3 children under my belt like you do...I wont say I am not jealous

But I do understand that a desire to have a baby can be emotional and difficult if you cant have them...no matter how many you do have. You must feel blessd to have 3 already, and if you yearn for more- than you belong right here with us.

I hate being shunned from my friends because I have no children, I would never make anyone else feel that way because they have children!

Again, I do admitt I am jealous of your three...no, I'm kidding. Welcome to the board. IVF is an emotional rollercoaster. I do get upset when I see so many babies around and none of them are mine, so I agree with being sensitive to us who have not been blessed with our babies yet. :(

Please ask if you have any questions. This is my second round, not that I am an expert or anything, but going through it once makes you feel that way! :D
Cheers!

Whew, I'm in California so I'm always a little behind the posts.

Kristen I can only assume that you kinda let it all hang out before you edited the post :) . Welcome to the board....I think the journey of IVF will be just as anxious for you, and we're all here to support each other in something we clearly want more than anything.

jharris12 Come on over!!! Welcome. You'll be around the same time as me. I have a 5 day transfer, so we'll be in the 2WW wait together

Hi Kristen - You are welcome here with us as you need lots of support when embarking on IVF. I have a 3yr old from IVF attempt number 2 back in 2004. I am just starting another cycle and dearly wish for another child to add to my family. I also appreaciate I am truly blessed to have a child already but that does not stop my desire for having another one. I would love all the ladies here to have success and feel for those who haven't achieved it yet . I do understand what Irish Hoping was saying and I am sure there are lots of ladies feeling similar emotions. However we have to be strong and try and put ourselves in other people's shoes and try and comprehend what they may be feeling/needing. I do feel a little guilty myself for already having a child but then it should be a positive vibe of what can happen - as someone said 'a lucky charm'. Good luck to you and any questions, just ask. :D

Hi ladies

This is my 2nd go at IVF. I have a little boy who is 8 who was conceived naturally. We have been trying for another baby since then. My DH and I are both 37 so I can't help but feel we are running out of time.

Having read through the posts I feel ready and positive that we will all get those BFPs! Last time, I got a huge amount of support from the ladies on this web site. I hope I can be part of that this time too!

I am in the UK and it is raining (again) - I hope you are all well!

cwrj00

My schedule:

Hey Rinnie. It's good to know I will have someone going through that dreaded 2ww with! At least part of that 2ww is Memorial Day weekend, and our family will be heading to the beach for a long weekend, so that should help make it go a little faster!

Well I had some of my first side effects from Lupron yesterday. Hot flash, headache, and cramping. I am assuming the cramping is from my Lupron AF. It's hard to say if AF has arrived because I have had break through bleeding the whole time taking my BCPs. And I have been so moody today! I am trying my best to keep it under control, but it's getting the best of me so far, and it's still early!

So how is everyone else?

Hey Ladies....

AF showed her ugly face yesterday after days of spotting. So I start BCP again tonight. They will go until 5/17 then baseline is scheduled for 5/23. The waiting is really getting to me! Its the worst part for me....I think the 2ww is easier than the waiting in between cycles. Anyway, looks ike some of you are getting ready to go! HERE COME OUR BFPs! hope everyone has a good day!

Afternoon!

Welcome to all newbies. I can't type very fast so only write little posts. Especially as I am doing it at work!

Yeah another Brit - hello cwrj00! Which part of the country do you come from? Prawnster is from near Bristol and I am near Southampton.

Well, here is my news seeing as I seem to be first on the list. I took my ovitrelle injection on monday night - I suppose that makes me ovulate and get rid of my egg and then I start the progesterone pessaries tomorrow - yukk!
ET on monday and no work for 2 whole weeks! yippee!

This time I am going to POAS as to go all the way to LOndon for a blood test is awful especially as it didn't work last time and we had to drive all the way home wrapped up in misery.

I was going to go for acupuncture pre and post transfer but....pre is sunday and ET is monday which over here is a holiday. It wasn't meant to be.

See ya! Am glad everything seems to be moving now for everyone! I want you all to catch up!

Welcome cwrj00 !! Happy you're here & sorry it's raining. Good ole England...i was actually born there.

jharris12 I had a lot of spotting too on bcp's....seemed like AF was just more spotting. I had more raging hormones this time too, but i think that's a good sign...at least it means they're working.

Neffi211 yay on AF!! I hated being on BCP's, the wait is excrutiating.

kyw i have my fingers crossed for you...kick it off with a bang girl!

Sooo, I started stims today....finally!! Yipeeee!!! :)
