Hello everyone,

I had my 1st IVF try in Feb this year and was a BFN. I still have 7 frozen embryos, so I will be going through my 1st FET this month. I had my baseline ultrasound this morning and the projected date of ET is 5/15. My husband and I are having 3 embryos transferred if they make it through the thaw. We only transferred 2 last time.

This time is very different for me since I don't have to harvest any eggs. I am currently taking Estrace and baby aspirin. Then closer to the transfer, the progesterone.

I'm excited to join a group again. I recognize some of you from the Jan/Feb and Feb/March threads.

Hey, Can I play on both threads too? I notice that several of my April/May buds are over here cheating on us! (joking) We've had at least 4 BFPs on the other thread already- its really exciting. You ladies should go lurk over there and check it out.

I'd love to have more ladies to hang out with during the 2ww, if no one minds of course. This is my first cycle so I found it really helpful to hear from the women who were stimming before me about what to expect. I thought some of you might like to hear as well.

So, I'm on my 6th day of stimming (my protocol is lupron, menopur, and follistim). I'm bruised up a bit, both the lupron and follistim aren't bad, but the menopur burns. Overall I feel great- way better than on clomid! I didn't feel anything at all in my belly until today, now i'm starting to feel a few twinges in my ovaries- very similar to my clomid experience minus the crying spells and hotflashes!

I had an important u/s today to make sure I didn't have any dominant follicles or cysts (some women get canceled due to this, which would suck). They told me a have lots of follicles and now it just monitor via ultrasound until to of 'em hit 18mm.

My estimated ER is 5/7, but there's a fair chance it will be 1-2 days early. I'd love to be able to hang on both boards to keep me busy during my bedrest and 2ww! I'm really nervous about ER, last time I had general anesthesia for an unrelated procedure, I barfed all over afterwards.

Everyone - Thanks for the replies about the cyst...I'm still nervous about it, but hearing your experiences made me feel better! I'll keep you all posted!

cocosmomma So sorry to hear about the beta, but the FET WILL be successful...this board will be lucky Welcome!

Ads I have no idea on cysts, but looks like several people have. I think you'll be on you way in no time! I found my dh really got into it after the ER & he saw me being wheeled in, and he had to give me the progesterone shots and take care of me afterwards. Don't worry...it'll kick in. Thanks again for the list!
IrishHope Thanks... yes, it won't be for lack of doing everything possible under the sun. Well, I haven't done Qui Gong & imagined my uterus as a moist fertile rainforest where all things grow...but other than that .. Fingers crossed you'll be starting soon!
Indie One step closer....i think the bcp's is the worst part.

LoveBug I stopped bcp, then started Lupron the 3rd day after...the same day I got AF. Although it was more like the spotting i'd had on the bcp. I just keep thinking how our bodies must just be like "whaaaaat's going on"???. Hopefully we will end up in 2ww together...let us know what happens with the U/S tomorrow....exciting to see those follies!

LB I'm so jealous..only 1 shot. It's amazing all the protocols. They have to kick my old ovaries in the butt so i have 4 a day. Not so bad now, but by the end I look like a pin cushion And now with the acupuncture, I can only imagine what my stomach will look like. Yikes

Thanks everyone for the well wishes! I will admit, while I would rather be pregnant, it is so nice to have a glass of wine again! Man, I missed it. LOL. And a break from the estrogen patches (goodbye glue all over my belly!) and the evil PIO shots.

I don't have to do the BCPs at my clinic for a FET, so now just waiting for AF to get here and our "what the hell happened" meeting with our doctor. Then wait another month for AF to come...this process kills me.

Anyone had a RPL panel done? We've had two early losses, so we're going to talk to our doctor about doing it now.

Cocosmomma- I did do the RPL panel. It is just blood tests to test for autoimmune disorders and well as clotting issues. Mine were all negative. We did ours after the 2nd m/c. My RE this time wants us to do PGD but I think it is controversial. It cost 4500 more and reduces your chances of implanting.

I am taking Menopur this cycle but NOW am not looking forward to it!
Can't believe how fast everybody is moving along.

I am still waiting for AF...this is the hardest wait. I have been spotting for days so hoping it will happen soon. I have to have a hysteroscopy this month and will start lupron 21 days after AF starts.

I had the RPL panel done with our previous RE, before we started ANY treatment. He insisted that we do it, so if he did get us pregnant, we wouldn't risk losing the baby. It is a series of blood tests, nothing remarkably hard. I don't even think I had to fast.

As for me, I am just waiting for AF to get here. I hope it's tomorrow, but could be as late as the 4th I guess. I am usually 28-30 days, but with the added stress of waiting for it, I am sure she'll be late. When AF starts, I will start BC at day 3, labs day 2 or 3, and then what do I expect? I am suppose to schedule a hysteroscopy between days 5 and 12, and DH will do his SA then. What is the BC for?

GL to those in the 2WW, I can't imagine how the time must crawl by...

Kristen - they start you on birth control so that they can control your cycle. Once you take your last pill and AF comes, then they will start you on the meds that suppress your ovulation and grow your eggs. They are then in full control of what your body does.

Hey everyone,
Well, I go tomorrow for my baseline. Hope everything is a go. Today has been a bad day. I have had this headache that is killing me.

Adsgirl- Before I had my left tube removed because of scarring I could never tell when I ovulated. After though I started feeling it and it hurt! Turns out my ovary is stuck to my bowels. They found that out when my right tube burst because ectopic pregnancy and they had to remove it. Now both my ovaries hurt when I ovulate. Anyway, hope you cyst goes away for you.

SDtrying -Sorry to hear about your bad reaction to surgery. I have had 6 surgeries and my husband has had around 25. (bad accident) so I guess we are getting to be pros at them. Anyway, ask the anesthesiologist about giving you something for nausea. They gave my husband something to drink before surgery. He said it tasted nasty, but better then throwing up!

Cocosmomma – sorry to hear about your past cycle. Hope your FET goes well for you.

Kyw- ewww. That cyst sounds gross. I can’t believe your mom told you that!! Did the cyst go away on its own or did they have to remove it?

Lovebug and Jharris12- I am jealous that your DH do the shots. My DH does not like needles (though he has gotten a lot better since our accident). I need him to practice soon before the PIO shots. I would rather have him start with 1/2 needle and not 1 1/2 needle. During injection class he was told to hold it like a dart and ended up throwing it at the practice pad and the needle bounced off!!

Kyw - I had a dermoid cyst removed when I was 13 y/o. It was the size of a cantaloupe. I was in the medical journal because of my age and it's size. The doctor told me that too, about it being my twin and I ate it. They are gross sounding, but imagine this, without it, your body would have those cells and things floating around in it. I was glad they at least gathered in one place. LOL GL with it though, my understanding is that if it is a dermoid cyst, it will not go away, because it isn't just fluid, it is also particles and stuff... HTH and GL!

I am starting to bleed, so today is day 1 of AF correct? Sometimes I get confused, and today can't be one of those times. Thanks ladies.

Kristen - yes they say Day 1 is the day you need a pad or tampon and start a flow so I'd say Day 1 of your cycle has arrived which is a good thing in IVF! Gets the process moving!

Adsgirl - thanks again for updating the list...it's so helpful and yes very ironic that we both got delayed a bit...hopefully Monday's bloodwork will be better!

RPL panel - not sure what that stands for but I had the blood clotting panel done after I insisted...w/ endo alot is linked to immune issues but some RE's don't "buy into" it much mine being one of them...so he did send me for the clotting disorder panel to rule that out and all came back fine - I know there is a bunch of other things to be tested though and I may insist if this cycle doesn't work...

Off to NJ this wknd - it's my nephew's First Communion...normally I love to see my nieces and nephews but our entire family will be together from all over and all my siblinbgs have children so not really too excited this trip but I will "fake it" for my nephew!

Well, 2nd day of BCP's....YAY LOL Only another 13 days till Lupron and 16 days till I can say bye bye to the BCP's. One thing I have noticed..not sure if it's just because I'm so excited to be starting the process, or the BCP's working after only 1 pill...but my cramps are non-existent! It's nice....absolutely no cramping and it's day 3 of my cycle, which is usually a HUGE Aleve/Midol day for me. I've heard that the Lupron helps shrink cyst too...that'll be nice, but it'll come back after all the suppression right?

Glad to see so many of you moving forward in the cycle! I so wish I was closer to ER/ET....but I guess in reality I am, one day closer LOL
