Turtle- Great idea about getting something for nausea from the anesthesiologist, I'll definitely remember to ask for it! Sorry you've had so many surgeries but am glad you are healthy now.

Ads- thanks so much for putting me on the list :) if fun to play on two threads! I highly recommended to those of you who are at the tail end of this one. :)

Tomorrow is another u/s for me, I'm hoping that they're gonna recommend trigger by Monday, which would be early but I can still hope! I'll give you all a follicle report tomorrow!

Kyw: Our psychologist session for the IVF went well and he said something that my husband and I have taken to heart :) No one needs to be in your bedroom! So when people ask me about why I can't do this/that, or why I have a doctor's appointment I just say it's a checkup. We don't think that everyone should know that we're going through an IVF cycle, especially since we have secondary IF and have 2 children together. They will know when I am pregnant, etc...but we will not be going around telling people it was due to IVF just because we don't want to filter the questions :) or the negative remarks (ex: oh I know someone who did that and bla bla bla).

So have fun on your birthday and drink a virgin drink :) Oh and congrats on the time off....;)

IndieBlue: This is our second IVF. The first time, I told all of our immediate family and close friends. It meant telling about 15 people, "how its going" and "got your results yet?" This time, we are keeping quiet. It's not a secret and I am not embarrassed it just seems easier not to put all of our loved ones through this rollercoaster!! I'd rather wait and give them fantastic news later!

SDTrying: old wives tale but I swear it works...no tomatoes for 48 hours before anaesthetic. i was told this 4 years ago...have had three surgeries...no nausea. I also told all my friends and it worked for all of them too! Even one girl who is always sick after every anaesthetic (even at the dentist) said it worked.

Assuming you arent a tomato addict...it is probably worth a try!

Cwrj00: Exactly....I'm not ashamed that we're going through assited reproduction, but I know all too well that anytime you take on anything big in your life and you tell everyone about it, you are bombarded with the same questions day in and day out...just adding more stress to an already stressful situation. I felt badly for not telling out family that we were trying to have another one...but then once the pyschologist said that I was suddenly okay with our decision to be quiet. Afterall, we didn't tell them everytime we had sex when we produced our 2 children....;) so I shouldn't have to tell them everytime I have an U/S or shot either!

I'll have to try the tomatoes, although I can't remember the last time if I had tomatoes before anesthesia or not...I do know that I'm sick as a DOG after being put under, even for the ER (I donated once before). I really do not want to be sick this time....I'll try anything LOL

Well I think today went well. I have lots of Follies, but I would because I have PCOS. The good news was that during my last round I had a estrogen level of 57 (which they were concerned about because my eggs didnt all become viable that low), and this time at the same point I have a leval of 232 (which is right no target)!!! Now, I asked for all my numbers, but I do not know what they all mean-- so all you veterans, maybe you can help me out. My progesterone was 1.3 and my LH was 5.6. Is that good? :?

I am still on target for my ER on the 9th, and then I am praying for a 5dt. I have heard that is they make it to the blast stage, they have a better chance of sticking. Any thoughts??

IndieBlue Great point. No one needs to be in our beds! We have decided not to tell anyone this round either. We are on a need to know basis right now with everyone.

Kyw: Happy Birthday!!! Are you on your 2ww already? Baby Dust to you!!!

Turtles I hope your baseline went well today, and that you can start stimming soon!

Rinnie How ya doin' girl? When is your first u/s and bloodwork with the stimms?

Well baby dust to everyone!!!!

kyw - I remember you too from a previous thread!

Is everyone doing the PIO shots? My nurse called me after my baseline u/s and said my re may not be doing the PIO with me this time around. I was on PIO last time for 5 days then the yucky prometrium suppositories. The nurse said I may just be on suppositories this time, but the re was going to talk to another doc doing studies on progeterone.

Hey everyone, went for my baseline today and things looks good. They saw 8 follies on the right and 3 on the left. She had a really hard time finding my left ovary. I have to turn on my side some and push hard on my stomach. I hope they don’t have a hard time retrieving eggs from it. Anyway, my estrogen level was less than 20, my LH 4.8 and progesterone 1.38. She said that was good. I have no idea. I start Gonal-F tonight at 150 then drop down to 75 twice a day until next checkup on Tuesday. Yeahhh!! I get to start. :D :D :D

Love bug – great news on the follies. I have no idea what your numbers mean. Good luck!

Kyw – happy birthday. Hope you enjoy your night out and time off.

Aims – I am doing PIO shots. They did say that if I do get pregnant then I can move to the suppositories. Which do you prefer?

jharris12 - how are the stims?

Baby dust to all!! :D

turtlesonastump - I actually preferred the PIO. The prometrium suppositories were yucky and they made me sore (shots made me sore, but not like suppositories). For my FET cycle, the doctor is switching me to another suppository called endometrin (not sure I spelled that right). My re said they are trying to get away from using PIO at least for long periods of time.

Thank God it's Friday! And to celebrate, I purchased a thick slice of carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. I rationalized that it was a good source of beta carotene and calcium. :D

Anyway, I have finally read through all 11 pages and feel as if I am caught up with everyone. Welcome to all our new members! The more, the merrier! Won't it be fun to re-do AdsGirl's list with strings of BFPs after our names?

I know this is going back awhile, but I really need to applaud Prawnster's "Fertility Dance." Hell, I'll try anything. If dancing in one's husband's boxers while chanting does the trick, I'm in! Too bad we can't post photos of ourselves in our Fertility Dance regalia!

KYW, IMBLESSED and ADSGIRL: I know EXACTLY what you mean about husbands not quite getting it. Mine is a dear, but often seems more concerned about the pressure in my tires or the whereabouts of the mail than he does about this whole process. But has time has passed, I have noticed his concern leaking out in other ways.......SPEAK OF THE DEVIL! He just came home with dinner from a little Italian trattoria AND he bought me an InStyle magazine. Anyway, I am off to twirl pasta.

Have a terrific weekend! I love hearing about y'alls progress. Sending good vibes and sticky baby dust. Let's all break out the boxers and start chanting!

Hi Everyone, I am addicted (again) to this site already and read the posts daily - My husband is probably feeling neglected as I keep disappearing upstairs most evenings. Perhaps he thinks i am on the porn sites, ha, ha.

KYW - happy birthday and loads of luck in your 2ww.

For Maggie - Yes, please do try the fertility dance and maybe even bang a drum (as Rinnie suggests). I am definitely going to do it again and hope I don;t just get rain instead! Mind you here in the UK that will probably happen anyway.

As for me, I start my Buserelin spray tomorrow and am excited but not particulary looking forward to the side effects. Does anyone else use this spray? It seems my protocol is different to a lot of you ladies outside the UK. I will be on the spray right up to egg collection and I don't even start my menopur injections until the 28th may - yikes it gonna seem like forever!!!

Anyway must go and spend some time with Hubby now as you know what they are like for needing attention...

Hi from New Zealand. I would love to join your group. This is my first IVF cycle. I only just found out that I have fertility issues and high FSH levels. I am still trying to rap my head around that. Hubbs and I decided to dive in and try IVF right away so as not to waste anymore time as I am 38, soon to be 39. I am hoping for the best but am so scared my eggs might be bad.
I am on a microdose flare protocol and have been taking BCPs since April 18th. I start Buserelin May 12th and Peregon May 14th (sounds like the drugs are different over here? or maybe just different names?) My egg collection is scheduled for May 26th.
It's reassuring to read all your posts and know I am not alone. My best wishes to you all!

cwrj00- What no tomatos for 48hrs! I'll never make it, I'll have tomato withdrawal and go into seizures! (just jokes, hee-hee)

thanks for the tip, I'm up for anything that works, certainly can't hurt.
