Nikki - I'm dying to hear heartbeat myself and cannot wait till 14th!!! but I know what you mean by getting right size of clothes and such. I mean you are so excited about this whole pregnancy why not start wearing and showing off stuff!! LOL

As far as twins I will be happy with either but i want healthy baby or babies that is the only concern and prayer I have now.

Jim - Now don't even go over how rough it is for men LOL you will get yourself in tons of trouble

Hi Sam.....Doing just fine. Every day I fear a repeat of last time since I'm about the same gestation as when I had the miscarriage. Thankfully, everything is going well. I have the occassional aches and pains in the groin which freak me out a little bit but no cramping or bleeding. My sister just found out yesterday that she is pregnant, too! our due dates are just 6 days apart, we're so excited to go through this at the same time.
How are you Sam? have you had your ultrasound yet? Has anyone had an ultrasound yet? I'm excite t hear how many babies we're having.

Nikki - I can understand you being worried - but hopefully everything will be fine. Congratulations on finding out you will be an Aunt soon!!

that's so awesome you guys are only 6 days apart. My best friend find out she was pregnant 2 weeks before I found out I was pregnant!! how cool is that LOL

I haven't had my u/s yet but it's scheduled for May 14th - cannot wait to find out!!

Do you want to have more than one baby at a time??

Sam....our ultrasounds will be here before we know it, then we'll probably be counting down the days to the next step. I'm not actually sure what the next step is, I assume another ultrasound or something since my RE doesn't release us to the OB doc til 12 weeks!

In answer to your question about wanting more than one......well, I'm somewhat neutral, I see positives and downsides to both a singleton and multiples. Of course, I'd love more than one but multiple pregnancy brings significantly higher risks and bigger financial responsibilities. Having just one would feel safer but having 2 or more little bundles growing inside me would be amazing. I guess what I'm saying is that if the ultrasounds 1, 2 or 3 I wouldn't be disspointed. What about you??? How are you feeling? Are you having any morning sickness yet?? I'm not. I kinda wish I was, as wierd as that sounds, I'd love some more affirmations of pregnancy. I'm sure I'll be wishing I wasn't nauseous if/when it kicks in. Are you tired?? I am SO tired. I sleep about 10 hours every night and will fall asleep for a nap if I lie down in the afternoon. This little one sure takes a lot of energy to grow!

ladies, I have been cramping on and off for the past 2 hours and have some spotting thats brown. I'm mortified. This is how my miscarriage started last time. I can't believe its happeneing again. It just doesn't seem fair. Oh, and my sister just found out she's pregnant. I hate this.

Nikki - How far along are you? when was your last m/c?? Please try to relax and not worry about it too much. Call RE and see if they can get you in for exam or tests or what not tomorrow morning? it maybe nothing and you are worried.

I do understand why you are worrying about it but it's only gonna make it worse - just call them tomorrow and see what they say.

I won't be disappointed with one or two - I would be happy with either. But I do want the babies to be healthy and deliver without complications and stuff. That is my only worry beside thinking about financial stuff. But things always works out because god has a way for everything.

I do not have any morning sickness thank GOD!!! nothing except for cravings for spicy food. I do get headaches occasionally but not too bad. But I do get tired a lot easily now.

Hope you feel better and hope it isn't anything serious - keep me posted.

So I was able to get an OB doc from work do an ultrasound on me. Our ultrasound equiptment is not the best but we did visualize a single gestational sac and a fetal pole and yolk sac. First he looked abdominally and all of us (the doc, me and DH) saw a heartbeat but when he did it transvaginally he said he didn't see the heartbeat after all. how can this be? We all saw it at first. So now I'm somewhat relieved but confused about the heartbeat. Why did we see it then not see it? Should there be one at 5 weeks and 2 days or not? I read so many conflicting things its hard to know what is accurate.

Nikki - it's possible that machine didn't pick it up. Don't stress about it - I mean go to your OB/GYN or maybe your RE and get them to look and evaluate with better equipment.

As far as heart beat goes I didn't think it's possible for them to see the heartbeat that quick maybe they might be able to see it for some ppl and some ppl it's few weeks more of a weight to find out.

Everyone's body responds differently and development is different. You cannot just go by with everyone's experience.

Your doctor knows best and they would be best to advise you if they can possibly see a heartbeat or not.

I really hope you stop stressing so much it's not good for you or your baby. It's important you stay positive and just call the RE and I am sure they can squeeze you in for an appt.

Sam....I feel quite relaxed this morning , I haven't had any more cramping or spotting. So Im going to stay off work and go back to taking it easy until I feel more reassured that the threat of M/C is lower. I have read so many places that 5w2d is too early yo usually see heartbeat.
I guess the good news is I'm not having 2, 3 or 4 babies! 1 feels safer for me.

Nikki - I'm very glad to hear you are feeling better today. Girlfriend you just need to enjoy your pregnancy - a lot can happen in life but you cannot sit and dwell and worry about it. Just hope and wish for the best. Everything will work out.

Dang it you are having 1 and I still don't know how many i am having. Bah, so not fair you got lucky! but I am happy for you

Yep, just one for me, although someone just told me they only saw one til a slightly later scan then they saw a twin! Well, either way.

So my last m/c I spotted at 5 weeks and 5 weeks plus 1 day, then at 5 weeks 3 days I had bright red bleeding that was a m/c. Yesterday I spotted at 5 wks 2 days, so I think that makes me even more freaked out. I wonder if there's something wrong with this whole batch of embryos?

My nurse called me back and I told her what was going on. She said not to worry because the whole reason they don't usually do US until at least 6 weeks 3 days is that most times you won't see the heartbeat before then. I feel much better about that but I'm still sitting around wondering if I'm going to miscarry. No fun.

Nikki - That's good to know - Well I hope you feel better and no more spotting or anything for you.

For me omg i am about to pass out - I'm so tired and sleepy today. I was mean to my dh too this morning not on purpose just i dunno i guess mood swings!!

I am so tired - on top of it i forgot to take prenatal vitamins too!! ugh not having a great day.
