Hi Everyone!
Exercise...I read somewhere to limit your cardio. I think I read it on the General Forum under sticky do's and dont's.
I am still on Syneral nasal spray (like lupron) and took my last bcp yesterday. Now just waiting for AF, and I will hopefully start Estrace on the 12th. Slighly worried about my lining. I have done 2 FET's before and both were BFN. One time my lining wasn't great and I went ahead anyway...wish I wouldn't have.

Anyway, how many embies is everyone putting back? I am over 40 , so not sure???

Sending baby dust...

I don't have much time so just a quick post - looks like ER might not be until Monday now :( I am disappointed because I have to say I am getting sick of all the needles! I have small veins so sometimes they have trouble with my bloodwork, and they had to stick me 3 times today before they got one. When you are going every day, this gets rough - my arms look like a drug addict!!

I rented "The Secret" from Netflix, about the power of positive thinking, so hopefully I can watch that tonight and will feel a bit better.

Best of luck to the others about to go through ER - I am looking forward to joining you in the 2ww!

Hellloooo!!! I've been out of touch for a little while, and the board has been busy! I'm still shooting the lupron and waiting for AF. If she comes tomorrow, we will have to cancel a planned trip to Iowa this weekend for my cousin's high school graduation. I'll be just fine either way...I'm really looking forward to seeing my family...but will be thrilled to get this process moving ahead and start shooting those stims!

From what I've read, any kind of exercise is fine until you start stims...once you start feeling "full" exercise should be limited to walking. I'm trying to eat pretty healthy and am alternating walking with hand weights and jogging. I DVR my reality shows that DH hates on the TV next to the treadmill...so I get my guilty pleasure TV watching done during a workout!

Kimmy - I don't know how many embabies I will be putting back...probably three, but we will wait until that day to make a final decision. If it's a 3-day transfer, definitely three embabies...maybe just two if it's a 5-day ET, depending on quality. Hopefully I'll have the choice to make!

MizTia - Welcome! This is also my first IVF cycle, and I am also doing ICSI. I know you'll find lots of support and knowledge here...Good Luck! MizTia and Amber - what meds will you both be on?

LB - Congrats! Things sound like they are going great for you! And no OHS this time?? Wouldn't that be fantastic!!

jharris, Rinnie and turtles - hang in there, ladies! We are all pulling for you! Trust the docs and try to stay positive!

Karen - How are you feeling? I just know that little embie is sticking! When are you planning to POAS? Sounds like you are taking advantage of the time to relax...just like you should be!

SDTrying - Triggering!! Yippee!!! SO, SO happy for you, girl! How'd the trigger shot go?

Hopinginpa - AF! YAY!! Regarding acupuncture...sounds like you and Cocosmamma are both starting next week. I think that's great! I went for my first appointment last week and am going again tomorrow. I'm excited about it, because I feel like it's something extra I'm doing to up my chances for success. I've heard others say that, for them, AP is more relaxing than a massage. I met with the APist for about 45 minutes before my first treatment. She asked a lot of detailed questions and gave me recommendations for treatment. It seems like starting well before getting to the IVF cycle is recommended (and may even eliminate the need for IVF), but I (like you ladies) got started late. She said she can still help by complementing my current IVF protocol, and she had a lot of interesting insight as to how AP works for this purpose. I'm sure your APist will share similar thoughts. I sat in a chair (kind of like a dentist chair) and she put several small needles in my legs (from my knee down), one in each hand, three on my abdomen and one right on the top of my head! Then I sat for 25 minutes and relaxed. It did not hurt at all. I felt good after it was over...but nothing majorly different. I imagine the next time I go it will be even more relaxing since I know what to expect now. I also talked to my APist about my diet and exercise...her approach is much more holistic, and she had insight on lifestyle aspects of my cycle much more than my doc does. Let us know how it goes...

Formaggie - Congrats on starting lupron...you're just a couple days behind me! And I also had a cyst when I went in at the start of my lupron...hopefully it will be gone for the next U/S.

OK ladies...Sorry for the long post, but I had some catching up to do! I will update the list as well. Happy Hump Day!!

Hello Ladies,

TY all for the welcome. It is good to hear the talk about acupuncture. I went in today for my Bloodwork and starting my BCP's today and they recommended AP since I am stressing way too much and way too early. So I think I am going to try it out.

May you get many nice eggies on your ER retrival today SDTrying.

AdsGirl- I am going to be on Follistim and Menopur then ganirelex. I know there are more but it is all so overwhelming. DH has been on clomid and drinking icky stuff for over 6 months now and is so ready to stop. We are freezing his swimmers so there is no chance of no swimmers on the big day.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Hello all!

Oh the pressure of being first on the list!

Am very bored right now. I have very strange tan lines as I couldn't quite reach my back when trying to put suntan lotion today. I also kept flashing the builders next door as I had my bikini top at an awkward angle so I wouldn't get lines (I am wearing a strapless bridemaid dress in a month)
My life is just so strssful right now!

Hope you are all well

Hi Girls
Weell, I slowed down a little with less meds & upping Lupron to 40. So they're trying to inch me along. Today my 10 follicles were a little bigger with one at 19, so I'm close. My Est is 2809. They had me stim today with the reduced dose & U/S & blood again tomorrow. Trigger should be tomorrow or maybe Fri if I slow down more.
I'm glad I'm getting at least one more day & hopefully that will help the quality.
I'm just trying to keep PMA & realize there's nothing I can do. I'm going in for acupuncture tomorrow, so that'll keep me calm.

JHarris12 & Turtles Hopefully you took some of my speed & are running with it!! I'm praying the estrogen starts climbing more.
Turtles, the menopur will kick it up...that stuff is potent..whew! That 30 lbs may be really good for pregnancy though...they say having a bit extra is great for fertility so you may not wanna give it up :)

Maggie yeah! Lupron finally. From about stim day 5 onwards i just walk. No jumping or straining with weights. It's good to get the blood flowing & walking does that gently. I feel stuffed down there anyway & don't feel like doing any more. I know what you mean about reading into everything and diagnosing...it's so hard to relax when it's so out of our hands.

cocosmama That's great you're doing acu...just let yourself relax in there & you'll really enjoy it. Make sure they put one in your head for relaxation. Is that the book by Randine Lewis? It's good...very technical. The Tao of Fertility is also good & really explains the process.

MizTia Welcome! Yes there's lots to learn on the board. It gets stressful, but the shots & ER etc aren't that bad. The waiting is the hardest.

Hoping The only times in our lives we'll be cheering for AF..yeah!!

LoveBug Thinking of you! When's trigger?

SDTrying Hope everything went really well!! let us know when you can.

Ads Thanks for the list! My ER will be 10th or 11th, and ET 15th or 16th.

Hope you have all had a good day?! I got my E2 update. My E2 went from 232 yesterday to 510 today!! :D So hopefully it will continue to double!! I'm feeling so much more optimistic! Now I go back tomorrow morning for my 5th day in a row of BW!! And to get an US. Hopefully my follies are growing nicely too! :)

Rin: Congrats on slowing down. Looks like I may have caught some of that speed from you! So thanks! :D Let us know when they decide you can trigger!

Ads: Thanks again for the list. That is SO helpful!

LB: I know what you mean about the needles. My arms are so bruised up. They have started looking for veins on the sides of my arms to draw blood. Tomorrow will make 5 days in a row getting BW done! Good luck getting done quick!

kimmy: My RE will only transfer 2 embies. So I dont have much choice!

SD: Did you trigger? When is the ER? Let us know when you can!

Hope you all have a great night!

Here's something I read re: Estrogen levels.

What should E2 numbers ideally be during an injectables cycle?

You should see 150-300 per mature follicle. (Note: E2 tends to be somewhat lower on pure FSH cycles. You may use this as a guideline, but your physician will be your best guide in this case.) It ideally should be 100 or over after three days of LH-containing injectables. It ideally should be 100 or over after 4-5 days of injectable recombinant FSH. No chart can show ideal E2 levels since E2 varies per number and size of the follicles.

So jharris12 & turtles...you're just on FSH right now so it should be lower. And that's why Menopur lifts it because it has LH in it.

jharris12....510 looks good!! :D

MzTia –Welcome. Where in Washington are you from?

ForMaggie- Glad you get to start. You’re lucky your husband does the shot for you. It took me around 30 min. to give myself the shot when I first started. I know it doesn’t really hurt, but just the thought of sticking myself gets to me. I am a lot better now. I think tonight I will get him to practice on me. I am definitely not Type A personality. I am however a computer nerd. I can’t help googling everything.

Kimmysq
– I am only putting back 2. I am an amputee and don’t think I could handle more than 2. Even the idea of twins kinda scares me. Have you guys heard about the lady in Maryland that had 2 put back and ended up with triplets plus one.

LB – I have a hard time with them finding a vein also. They recommended I drink a lot of water to be hydrated before. This helps plump up the veins.

Karen – I am picturing on outline of your hand in your tan line :) They have spray suntan lotion and you can spray it over your shoulder and get your back. Good luck with your wait!!

Rinnie – Glad you are slowing down. Thanks for the info on E2 levels. I am only taking FSH but am worried because it was only 40 after 5 days of stims!! I don’t go back to check until 8 days of stims. Hope you can wait longer before you have to trigger. Good luck.

Jharris- Yeahh on the doubling of numbers. I know it must suck to have to keep giving blood samples but at least you know the results. It is killing me that I have to wait until Friday to find out how my numbers are doing.

As for me I am just waiting till Friday for hopefully good news. Trying to get ahead in my school work, but hard to concentrate. :(

Hi everyone -- sorry to barge in on your thread. I'm SDTrying's hubby (of course! )

She did great today with the ER, no problems. I'll let her share the details when she feels up to it, she's still pretty sleepy from the sedation.

Y'all have been a great support for her through the process so I thought I'd let you know everything went well. 8)

We went for our injection lessons tonight and picked up the meds. I got really overwhelmed by it all and burst into tears by the end. I wish I felt more hopeful like some of you on the board. But im just really scared it is not going to work for me. Im just a mess. And it's really hard to focus at work cause I am so stressed. I can relate to how Cocosmoma it feeling.

karen--i am thinking of you and hoping it sticks.

Sue:

I know it can be terrifying when you first start, but it really does get easier as you go along. Once you mix your first meds (if you are mixing) and measure your first PIO, it's easier. I probably called my nurse every day to ask the most minute detail. Just take a deep breath. Millions of women across this world do this every day and you can, too!

Good luck!

P.S. You can ask your questions here, too, if you don't want to call your clinic. I am sure we have seen it all!
