No big surprise- I got a BFN :( I'm sad but I'm doing ok. I think since I cried on Friday so far I'm ok today. I already set up a consult for next Monday with my RE to discuss this cycle and the next FET. I will go right ahead and start bcp when AF comes. I feel ready and ok to start that soon because I'm already in the swing of things. Dh and I want to try our other two frosties and hope for better luck this next time. Thank you everyone for your support. Yellow- I hope all went well today!

Laura - so sorry  big hugs to you. It's good to see you bouncing back and ready for the next go. For all the evil of the POAS's I agree its good to prepare yourself sometimes in advance in your own quiet space.

Yellow - hope all went well for you.

As for me -the U/S earlier this week didn't go well

Funny, was so sure things were going to be okay- so wasn't really prepared, although completely unexplainably I just wasn't looking forward to scan. Foreboding maybe.

Pregnancy sac is all okay - hence the rising hormone - but poor little beanie isn't doing very well at all. Hidden in the corner of sac, Docter said much too small (9mm at 7.5 wks instead of around 12 or 13). He has given me a 5-10% chance that it will work out okay and nature will right itself- and having another scan next week. Needless to say - he's very doubtful and said I'd be very likely (i.e. 95% chance) that I'll end up miscarrying a little further down the line.

Trying not to resign myself - but feel very low and exhausted and full of constant morning sickness still. Just waiting for rescan for next Tuesday to see if glimmer of hope gets any bigger.

Oh Melo & Laura, I'm so sorry.

Mel, I do hope things turn around for you. Rare things do happen. That's why they're rare and not impossible. Hugs to you.

Laura, hugs to you, too. POAS does help you prepare yourself. Still, it sucks.

I guess this was not a good week for the #2 girls. They retrieved 36
:!: eggs on Tuesday. We got 18 embryos. But my estrogen was too high and there was fluid around my ovaries -- too much risk of OHSS. They froze all the embryos (my clinic freezes at the one cell stage). There will be no transfer with this cycle :( .

I think DH was more upset than I was. He thinks they should have lowered my follistim dose even more. Oh, well. We have a lot of embryos. Surely one of them will stick. Right?

Laura, my FET won't be far behind yours. This will be my first FET. It'll be medicated. Any advice on what to expect? So begins the waiting for AF...

Mel and Yellow- Tuesday was supposed to be a good day for all of us #2 gals- I'm so sorry.

Mel - I'm really sorry about your scan...that must be so hard to be waiting now and wondering so much...but just like Yellow said, you can be the lucky one in the percentage to go on and have things work out- I so hope that for you- you will be in my prayers and thoughts. We're here for support.

Yellow- So sorry about not having your transfer. I guess the doc has to be safe though but I'm sure your dh is upset as you must be a little too. It's great you have so many embryos! We probably will be pretty close for our FETs! I'm too waiting for AF. The medicated FET isn't too bad- definitely less meds than a fresh cycle. From the time I started the bcp, it was about 6-7 weeks till the transfer. But my clinic bases the date on when my RE would be at the IVF center so it could be quicker than that this time and your timing might be faster too. I did bcp, then lupron, then added in estrogen and baby aspirin. Then I took an antibiotic and steroid before the transfer and added in prgesterone at that time. After the transfer, I just had two forms of estrogen, two forms of progesterone and the baby aspirin- does that all make sense? I only had to have 2-3 ultrasounds total and my blood drawn about 1-2 times- so again, way less than a fresh cycle. Hope that helps... Let's hope this next FET is the one for both of us- come on #2!!!

Thank you gals for your support. I'm doing ok- my hormones are a little off after stopping the meds but that's to be expected. Just wanting AF to hurry on up...

Take care #2 gals.

:( Oh my gosh, girls,
I am soooo sorry to hear all of your news! :(
I wish I could make it better for all of you.

Yellow and Laura, how brave you both are for getting right back on that proverbial horse. Good luck to you.

Mel, I can't even imagine what you are feeling. i am very sorry. Those percentages are horrible to hear, aren't they? I am praying for you and the best outcome possible!

((((HUGS)))) to all of you!

Nothing really new with me, still on BCP, and I don't start Lupron for another two weeks...how weird is that?? I'll be on BCP for over a month.
Just tired.

Laura, thanks for the rundown on the FET cycle. I must say I am looking forward to a cycle without all the bloating. I talked to the nurse at my clinic and the cycle seems pretty similar to yours -- bcp, lupron, estrogen, progesterone. She didn't say anything about taking two forms, but she didn't go into a lot of detail either. I probably won't get the detailed schedule until AF arrives. I wish I could have it now.

Beth, thanks, and good luck to you, too.

Melo, how are you doing?

Let's hope our luck turns around.

Beth- Good to hear from you. Thanks for your hugs :) So bcp for a month- I was so tired on them this last time that a month would've been way too long for me...did they tell you why you have to be on them that long? You decided to do a fresh cycle now, right? Good luck.

Yellow- For my FET, I was on estrogen patches and an estrogen pill (but you use it vag- I thought that was sorta weird at first). And then for the progesterone- I used crinone and the PIO shots. It's hard when you have to wait for the schedule- they didn't give me mine till after AF and my first u/s and bloodwork. Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions that I can answer since I just had my FET.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Hi Girls
Thanks for all the kind words.

Beth, Laura and Yellow - you guys are all in the middle of trying and getting ready to try again - which is really positive.

Yellow - of those 18 frosties - here is hoping there is a whole brady bunch in there for you! Silver lining on the cloud - because I can imagine it must have just been gutting not to get to the next stage. Despite your wait though - I really back the frozen cycles - there are more than one or two people I know who have had much better success with the frozen than the fresh. At the clinic here its very easy - unless hormonal issues - they don't subscribe ANY meds (or U/S) at all - you just have to get a few blood draws - and then turn up 3 days post ovulation for the transfer - so its very unintrusive.

I feel a little lost and out of it - as I don't really know what happens next for us now. All my m/s symptoms have stopped, so whilst I don't feel as physically rotten I think its a fairly sure sign things will not end well now.

It's a little wrenching - because the viability of another cycle is really questionable. The cost is going to be a real issue and I just don't know how ready for the whole thing I am. Even these last few months with the transfers and now this probable m/c looming seems so daunting.

Just one day at a time I guess. I hope your all going well and that there are a few bright BFP's round the corner!

Mel- I'm so sorry for how you're feeling...I can only imagine that it is so very hard- one day at a time is a very good way to take it...hopefully you will get more answers on Tuesday...I will of course keep you in my prayers and thoughts.

I'm happy today because AF is in the house- I was hoping she'd come sooner than later after my bfn so luckily she cooperated...now if she will just stay away after this, that would be nice! So it should now work out that I can get my baseline u/s and bloodwork done on Monday when I go in to see my RE for that consult so that's good...

Melo, I'm thinking about you today. Let us know how it went when you feel up to it. Thanks for your thoughts on FETs.

Laura, AF arrived!? I'm jealous. I think mine's still about a week away. How did u/s and bw go?

I was strangely not that upset when the RE told me she wanted to cancel the transfer. I can't really say why. My DH and I were talking the in the waiting room before ER about trying a FET if this didn't work. I don't know. I'm not a superstitious person, but this kind of feels right. At least I'm OK with it.

My DD is really starting to love playing with other kids. I think she'd be fantastic big sister. I'm trying to make that happen for her. :)

Mel- Hope you are doing ok- thinking about you.

Yellow- That's great that you are feeling like this was the way things were meant to go and that you are looking forward to your FET...are you doing a medicated FET too? That's so sweet about making your DD a big sister; I've been thinking about that too with my ds that he'd be such a little helper if I had another baby. I hope this will be our time for #2!

My u/s and bloodwork were both fine so I'm starting bcp tomorrow. My RE said that as long as we were emotionally ready, it was fine to move right on with another FET. So the transfer date will be July 3rd- that seems so far away but so soon too. I'm excited to get going again- not so excited about the bcp because I was so tired on them last time but what can you do. I'm thinking that this try might be our last because we have these two frozen embies that we will try this time and then we have no more. I'm not sure if I want to do another fresh cycle but for now, I'd say no but I suppose you never know how you'll feel later if #2 doesn't come along.

Take care all, Laura

Hey All

July 3rd is a lucky day Laura - my birthday! So here's hoping this one works out for you.

Jeeps what we put ourselves through! Even the few months of transfers really seem to have taken so much out of me. Of course once you get a good result - the trying doesn't seem so exhausting

My U/S has confirmed the worst. No growth - and now no heartbeat. What a total sucky huge fat BUMMER. Feel sad and a wee bit like just yelling very very loudly.

Decided to wait for a natrual m/c. The thought of going through more intervention for a D & C is just a bit unthinkable for me. But give it two weeks of waiting and might change my mind.

I kind of can't believe this is happening really. Sigh. I'll check in with you all, but am kind of going to try and take a bit of a break - from well just just everything, life in general and internet included  (can't bear the thought of normality, talking to people and having to go back to work).

Took a few days off and hung out with DD - we went swimming and had a nice day - and she made me forget things for a while. Must feel blessed with what I have!

Will catch up with you soon, all the best in meantime though
