im4clowns.....I had planned on only telling close familly and a close friend until we heard the heartbeat. For me that was important because last time I told all of my familly and friends right away, then when I miscarried some poeple didn't know right away so I kept being congratulated after the miscarriage. It was very painful. I think most people at work do know now that I'm pregnant again though because I went into work one night to have the doc do an ultrasound......there aren't many reasons why us nurses go into work for ultrasounds. Anyway, I hear some people say they tell everyone right away and others don't tell anyone for a really long time. How do they do that? Its way too exciting not to tell! Bottom line....I guess its all up to you.

I had my FET on April 15th. 5 day blastocyst transfer. I go for my first ultrasound on May 21st.
I am curious as to how well your levels rose when you all received confirmed pregnancies. My ultrasound technologist has me a little worried that maybe mine are not rising as well as they should be?

thank you for the info it definitely helps. I am very excited for my ultrasound on the 21st. Hopefully after that I will have a little more peace of mind. When do you have your ultrasound?
Well, I cheated and had a doc at work do one at 5 weeks to make sure it looked like everything was OK. I had some spotting and thats how my miscarriage started so I naturally freaked out. Anyway, the scan revealed 1 gestational sac complete with yolk sac and fetal pole. I'm hoping to see the heartbeat at my offical ultrasound which is Tuesday May 13th (only 3 days to wait). I'm so nervous that they won't be able to see the heartbeat. I have already relaxed a little bit making it past 5 weeks (the time I miscarried last time) and I hope I'll relax more when I see the heartbeat. Fingers crossed. how many weeks will you be at the time of your US?

that's great! sounds promising. I wish you luck on your ultrasound. Everything looked good when I had my ultrasound today too. I have not miscarried before as this is my first pregnancy so I am really nervous. I still have a week and a half before I have my ultrasound. The waiting is the worst part. I will be around 8 weeks at my first ultrasound. If you are having your ultrasound this week you probably won't be 7 weeks yet if I am correct. I have heard that you don't always here the heartbeat that early. I spoke to my best friend today and asked her some questions as she just had her 4th child and she said that in 2 of her pregnancies they didn't hear the heartbeat until after 8 weeks and she went on to deliver 2 healthy babies. I hope you hear the heartbeat but if you don't it might be too early and not necessarily something wrong. Is your doctor still sending you for blood work to make sure your levels are still rising?
Sweet....you said you had an ultrasound today and you'll have one at 8 weeks? What did you see today? Are you in the US or UK? My RE doesn't continue to check beta's, just gets the 1st and 2nd. After that its all in the ultrasounds and of course closely monitoring my progesterone and estrogen levels.

I'm in Ontario, Canada. I just had one of the techs do my ultrasound so I could see what was going on. Everything looked good except they said it was a slow heartbeat. The way the hospital works that I went to only checks blood work twice but I have an OB so they like to make sure your levels are still going up while you are waiting for your ultrasound. So far mine have been rising as they should be. My doctor hasn't been checking my levels for progesterone and estrogen. I am not taking injections for them. I was given progesterone suppositories and estrace to insert vaginally. Where are you living?
I'm in the suburbs of Denver. I'd say thats fantastic news that you heard/saw a heartbeat! I believe it starts around 90-110 bpm or so then speeds up. I wish I had been able to see a heartbeat. For me that such a huge milestone since we never made I that far last time. Seing that also cuts your chance of miscarriage down even more. Only 2 more days to find out......make or break time for me I think. Tying to stay positive. I can't help but analyze every single symptom, like sometimes my boobs don't hurt quite as much as other times, then i convince myself its over. Does your boob pain fluctuate? Also, EVERY time I go to the bathroom I breath a sigh of relief seeing no blood on the liner. I think if this went on for a long time I may send myself insane. If I hadn't had the miscarriage I'm sure I'd feel totally different, I never dreamed I would have a miscarriage.
OK, less negativity, feeling worried isn't going to help. Didn't mean to bring you down.

Don't worry you didn't bring me down. If it helps my boobs don't hurt all the time. It comes and goes. I have my fingers crossed for you on ultrasound day. It sounds like you are not having any symptoms of a miscarriage which is good news. Think positive. I know it's hard sometimes but you might stress the baby being worried about how the baby is doing. Definitely keep me posted on the results of the ultrasound. Are you having problems with food? I definitely find eating difficult. Dinner is my worst time of day. I can be hungry one minute and disgusted the next. What about you? Are you having any problems like that?
YES! the food thing is wierd. I get really hungry but nothing looks or sounds good. What is really wierd is I LOVE quarter-pounders-with-cheese and the other day I didn't want one, it sounded gross. Maybe the embryo is smart enough to avoid junk food...LOL. Anyway, it does help me feel better that your boobs do the same thing. And you're right....not having any signs of a miscarriage is a wonderful thing that I should be focusing on. Thanks for picking me back up!

Anytime...The food thing really does boggle my mind. I used to enjoy my meals now i can barely stand to eat. I think I want something so I make it then I can barely get it down. I also was never a big sleeper. 6 hours and I was good to go. For the last couple of weeks I have been sleeping at least 9 hours a night and still feeling like I have been hit by a MACK truck. It takes everything i have just to stay awake all day! What is your sleep like?
