Moving Bump????

I have a question... we are 18 weeks and when I lay down on my back I feel a distinct bump towards the left side below my belly button. Then sometimes it moves around and pokes out like an apple all in slow motion. It is smooth and sticks out about and extra 1/2 inch from the rest of the belly. My DH can put his hand and feel this "apple" move around. Has anyone experienced this?

Since I am in the second trimester I do try not to be on my back much but it feels a little odd to have such a pronounced bump moving. I am out of town and can't see my OB until next week. Thanks!

That's so funny....cause I have been joking about the funny lump I had all week on my left side. I was lopsided till last night. The baby has moved to the middle now and was on top of my bladder last night. This morning I felt movement in the middle and my lopsidedness is gone. So funny and cool and apparantly normal.

Super cool that you can see the baby move around, too. I cant wait to see that.

You are too funny. I started feeling movements from my baby @ week 19. My OB/GYN told me that it was too early to do so. I think he had forgotten about how far along I am. It is an amazing experience especially when my DH can feel it too.

It hasn't been that bad. Last night, baby was really active. I had difficulty getting to sleep because he/she kept knocking around the inside of my belly. My DH was excited the other week when I was lying on the bed with my belly exposed. He was at the edge of the foot of the bed. I couldn't see it because my belly is in the way ... only the top of it. On the underside, he could actually see the movement. He was talking about taking care of our baby. I told him that baby recognizes his voice.

There is more to come.

P.S. - Don't ever wish that baby kicks/hits you in the bladder. I can tell you it ain't the most comfortable thing. OUCH!

Hi Riogirl! Don't worry thats just Bub getting into different positions. You wait until you see a hand complete with fingers sticking out the side of your tummy!
