I am currently the progesterone shots. I was at 1cc, now down to .5 cc starting yesterday (5/12), and last one on 5/15 (that would be 10 weeks). How does the RE know to stop the shots if no blood work is being done? I haven't had blood work since 4/10 (had 2 u/s 4/23 and 4/30)? Is it OK to stop? Just feel like they are taking my security blanket away (stupid, I know - but what can I say).

By 10 weeks the placenta should be producing its own progesterone. It's pretty routine to discontinue progesterone around 10 weeks.
Thanks Ghost - What you do here on the board - answering ALL the questions (no matter how silly they may sound to you) provides an invaluable resource to those of us who worry about every little thing. Also, it is a great learning place.

I was worrying about the EXACT same thing about 4 months ago. I was soooo afraid to stop the progesterone supplements at 10 weeks. Low and behold, my body did what it was supposed to do. I understand your fear, and I realize now I had nothing to worry about. Hope you feel better about it now.

I thought I would let you know I was very very nervous as well- (I am sure Ghost may remember my panic cries to him...lol)
My progesterone, while on the shots NEVER went above 20!!!!!! I was a wreck - my RE stopped the shots anyway at like 10 weeks and the rest is history......I am 26 weeks pregnant and everything has been fine............
