Hi Everyone! I've been away for work for a couple days...and I am SO far behind!! I'm still two pages back, so I will finish reading later today.

Turtles - I am SO SO sorry to hear they canceled your cycle. I can imagine how frustrated you must feel...even though you were further along than I, I can relate to how you're feeling! Glad to hear they are changing up your protocol for the next round. You and me, lady...we'll stick together!

To all on the 2ww and awaiting ET...I am SO excited for all of you!! Even though I've been delayed, I am still so invested in all of your cycles, and I cannot wait to celebrate our first round of BFPs!!

I will write more when I get caught up.

Good morning ladies! Once again, a rainy Friday! Why did I bother to come to work?!

JDC - I am so sorry about your eggs. Mine weren't great either. I think Rinnie gave some great advice - something I will consider in the future also. Try to enjoy the things you couldn't before - a big cocktail sounds good to me!

Cocosmomma - sorry about your b/w. Hopefully you will still make it in time for June.

Karen - so sorry for your bfn. I know there aren't words to comfort you, but take some time to pamper yourself - you deserve it!

Aims - congrats - you and I are on the exact same schedule. I had ET yesterday and test is on the 28th!

So, my ET was yesterday. 6 embroys remained but none were good quality. They put in 3, 2 average and 1 below average (they don't give me letter ratings). They don't expect the other three to make it so it looks like I won't have any to freeze. This isn't great news, but they are still in there and I am trying to stay positive that my warm and welcoming uterus will help them grow!! So I am officially PUPO too - DH and I are already talking to the "babies," giving them love and urging them along!

Beta is the 28th, and I likely won't POAS because they are having me do an hcg "Boost" on Sunday, so it likely won't be until the 28th that the hcg is out of my system anyway. But who knows, maybe I will break down! The best part is I can't be near the litter box now, so DH has to take care of the 4 cats each morning - as you can tell, not my favorite chore! I am going to acupucture today for some extra help to have the little ones settle in!

Kyw - I'm so sorry about your BFN. I really thought you would get a BFP after having a 5day blast. Was this your first IVF cycle? Well, take it from someone who's on their third cycle.......DON'T GIVE UP! I definitely understand the money issue, but when it's financially possible for you to try again.....PLEASE DO IT! I feel positive that it'll work if you just keep trying.

I had a terrible scare last night. DH was working in the attic and fell through the bathroom ceiling. My heart sank! I'm so glad I don't already have embryos implanted or I would've surely lost the pregnancy over the scare and stress I went thru last night. For a minute, I thought I'd have to call an ambulance. But, DH is fine....amazingly he was just woozy and suffered a big, long scratch on his arm that bled some. We have a humongous hole in the ceiling and a broken toilet tank (yes, his body shattered a porcelain toilet tank). I am so thankful that it wasn't worse. We are so blessed. God is good!

Today is my day off. Now, I'm just enjoying a rainy Friday at home with my DH (who is sore). I hope all is going well for everyone!

Karen – Oh sweetie, I am so sorry for you. Did you do blood work to make sure? I hope you find some way to try again. Big hugs to you.

IMBlessed - looks like you are living up to your screen name. Glad to hear your husband is o.k. That sounds like a scary fall.

As for me, I am just sitting here listening to the rain and thunder, waiting to start AF, and trying to get my project proposal done. I feel really strange and still can't concentrate. I had hoped that now I am not taking any drugs that I would start to feel better. I am feeling crampy but don't know if it just the follicles aching. They didn't have me do the trigger shot so I don't know how long my body will take to ovulate on its own. Has anyone else done all the shots but then had to cancel before ER? How long did it take you feel back to normal?

Good luck on all you PUPO's out there.

Hello Everyone!

I am currently undergoing my first IVF cycle. I had 2 grade 4 blastocysts put in on Tuesday (5/13). I am taking progesterone by injection, and I have a pregnancy test scheduled for the morning of 5/22.

I thought the worst was over - but this is the longest week of my life!!!

I think that on some level I thought I would just KNOW whether or not it worked. I guess my ESP is turned off or something because I am not sensing a thing  I just feel UNpregnant.

Anyone else out there playing the waiting game?

I just got the call from the RE's office. My ET will be tomorrow morning!! :D :!: We will be doing a 3dt. They said 3 fertilized immediately. They had to do ICSI on 6, and of the 6, 2 were 5 cell, a 3 were lower grade. Not really sure on the specifics. I guess I will get that tomorrow. Now I'm just sitting here thinking, do we transfer 2 or 3. I have felt all along that I am supposed to transfer 3, and when he said we had 3 fertilize immediately, it just seemed like a sign. I guess we will have to wait and see what the RE says tomorrow. I am so excited now though! We were so hoping it would be tomorrow and not Monday! Now I get my ET in less than 24 hours!

aims: Congrats on your ET!! I am trying to decide if I can transfer 3 or just 2. I guess we will see tomorrow. Good luck staying strong and not POAS. I am thinking my DH is going to want me to stay away from them too! But I guess we will see how he feels before the beta!

Karen: Did you get your beta tested at the doctor? I am so sorry for your results. Take time to heal, and we are all here for you.

Ads: Welcome back. I have been here and I can barely keep up!

LB: Congrats on your ET. Even though you may not have any to freeze, you have those 3 little ones inside snuggling up and making themselves comfortable right now!!

IMBlessed!: I am glad to hear your DH is okay! That would have scared me to death.

turtles: I hope you get your concentration back soon! It has to be pretty hard to focus on that project right about now! Good luck!

Stephanie: Welcome to the group! You are already halfway through your 2ww! Good luck to you!

To everyone I missed, hope you are all doing great! Time for me to get back to work! Talk to you later.

cocosmamma: I hope your BW results come back in time. But you seem to be staying positive either way! Good luck to you!

LB Stay positive and think as many good thoughts as possible. Stay relaxed, go gets your toes done:) We'll be counting down until the 28th girl. Oh and, way to go on getting out of kitty detail!!

Karen I am SO SO sorry that things didnt work out. BUt, like all PP stated, dont give up. Your time is coming. I dont understand how this monster works but I know if you fight enough and dont give up, your get what you want.

IMBlessed Good gosh girl!! I about had a heart attack reading what happened, I can only imagine the heart stopping fear you had when it happend. My DH is very, very handy, BUT he is so accident prone. We've had mnay accidnets like that and after long healing periods I find that I now tease him about them.

Steph I wish you the best on your first IVF.

jharris Girl, I am so excited for you tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you all day. Make sure you kick your feet up and relax. Tell DH you need to be pampered:) We'll be counting down the next 2 weeks!!! Yeah!!

2WWers Hope you all are feeling well and taking care and pampering yourself. Making those embies snuggle right in there.

Everyone else, I hope all well!

I just keep getting discouraged and I just started!!!!! Today was my 2nd AP visit. He did the exact same thing as last time. He only put needles on my right side only. 2 in my hand, 2 in my leg and 2 in my foot, then he put the infrared light on me and I soaked the table because I was so hot. So I asked him if this was going to be my treatment and he said yes. So I asked him why not other places...LIKE my stomach area, cause ya know I am going for infertility. He said its a faster more stronger approach. I just dont know. AND he only treated me this time for 25 mins. I feel like I should go somewhere else, but I chose this man for his excellant credentials. He started doing this in the 60's in Korea, but I just dont know. What do you think?? Should I try somewhere else? I am such a perfectionist that I want things done right and I just am not having confidence. Help, what should I do?

Hi Girls,

JDC, Karen, Turtle: I am so sorry. I don't know what I can say to help you through this, only that we are pulling for you. Draw strength from your dhs, your families and this community of determined, proactive women. Your time is coming.

JDC: I understand your feelings regarding your sister and her baby. In 2006, my sister and I were both pregnant. I miscarried and she went on to have a chubby, blue eyed girl. It still hurts. Your RE can't meet with you until June? And you don't see him/her on a regular basis? I don't mean to intrude, but have you considered changing practices? If you are interested, I can tell you about the protocols, etc. at Saint Barnabas.

Rinnie & LoveBug: Here's hoping that every niggle and pain doesn't make you crazy during the tww! When DH and I were TTC, I was convinced that every gas bubble was the first sign of twins!

I just got the call from my RE's office. This morning at my ultrasound (on my 5th day of stimming) they found 12 follicles and my E2 is 930. So they are starting to monitor me a touch more closely now (I have to get checked every day) and they have dialed down my follistim doses. To the IVF vets out there, does this sound right to you? Frankly after hearing about LoveBug's horrible bout with OHSS, I am terrified.

Have a good weekend, girls!

Hello Ladies! There is so much happening on this board!

Karen - I am so so so sorry to hear about your BFN. I know you must be so heartbroken. Hoping you can get your PMA back after you release your frustration. We're thinking of you!!

Dakota - I think one of the most important things about AP is that you have faith in it. If you're spending your energy worrying about whether he's doing it right, you're probably not getting the benefit out of it that you want. Many of us here have different drug protocols, it doesn't seem that strange to me that your APist protocol might also vary. That being said, if you're uncomfortable with him, try a new one! Just because he has great credentials doesn't mean he's the right fit for you...just like with a western medicine doc! Good luck!

JDC - So sorry to hear about your canceled cycle. Take time to cry then pull yourself back up. Hope you are able to try again soon!

So, I'm hanging in there after my canceled cycle. I was VERY busy with work this week, so that helped me keep my mind off of things. I cried a lot on Monday, and then I moved on...I'm focused on my AP treatment and getting my body ready for my upcoming cycle. If I can get rid of my cysts by the time I hit my placebo pills in my BCP pack, my RE will let me start lupron right away and stim in June! That's my mission!! For the rest of you that have been canceled...anything specific you're doing to set yourself up for success in your next round?

ImBlessed - So glad your DH is okay!! My goodness! He shattered the toilet?? That's quite a fall!

jharris & LB - So excited for you both!!! Wish I was with you!!

Ok...I'm going to try to update the list now.

Thanks, AdsGirl! I am going to keep my fingers crossed that your cysts disappear! And I posted this earlier, but it's worth mentioning again. According to a book I read, some experts believe that AP can increase IVF's chances by as much as 50%. So keep the faith!

jharris - best of luck with ET!!

imblessed - so glad to hear your DH is ok! My DH thinks he can do electrical work - scares the heck out of me each time. Needless to say, the fan/light he wired in our bedroom still doesn't work right, but I am trying to be encouraging instead of reminding him we still have wires hanging out of our bedroom wall (over a year later!)

LoveBug - just read your other post re OHSS. I hope you don't get it again. Now you have me thinking - I am very bloated and have some stomach issues as well - hope I don't have a mild case, since they want me to do an hcg boost on Sunday!

Adsgirl - your attitude is the best!! I am going to try to borrow some of your positivity!

Dakota - I agree with adsgirl about the acupuncture. I just got back from mine, and mostly I just lay there for 20 minutes with needles in. It is a lot of money, but I find it very relaxing and she gives me some good advice (keep yourself well-fed but don't overeat, keep warm and take some time each day to just "be").

ForMaggie - glad things are rolling along.

Have a great weekend!!
