Kbear,
I am so sorry for your loss. What a heartbreaking thing to have to go through while you are pregnant. Please know that I am sending you warm thoughts from Colorado...
Sara
2nd U/S was scheduled this past Monday with RE and all 3 babies looked great. Heartbeats at 180. This was after a very big scare that happened on Friday. I was in the grocery stored and was standing at checkout when I started to bleed badly (embarrassingly so with blood on the floor). After calling the doctor they said just wait until MOnday's U/S as there was nothing they could do. I bled all weekend and was so afraid that we lost the babies. The U/S showed the 3 strong heartbeats and the problems was that one of the sacs pulled of the uterine wall slightly and caused a hematoma to develop. No danger to the babies and it will just bleed out and also absorb.
I am officially released from IV doc and had my first appt. with high risk OBGYN today. ANother U/S and lot of bloodwork, but everything looks great and the babies are jumping all over the place! I will also be seeing a perinatalogist throughout the pregnanacy and I meet with them on 5/22.
I hope everyone is doing well. It is nice to see more people joining the board.
Tamara,
What a terrible scare that you had! I am so happy to hear things look so great. Last weekend must have been torture for you and your husband!! The wait over three days can seem like three weeks!
Isnt it amazing that you can bleed so much and that the babies are all well and growing? It happend to me in my first pregnancy and I couldnt believe it when I saw my little guy in there.
I look forward to hearing about what the specialist said. I only have twins but will see one in Denver next week to discuss treatment plan and cerclage.
Good luck!
Sara
Hi everyone,
I haven't been logging in for a while. Nice to see more december moms on the forum.
Kbear very sorry for your loss.
We had another u/s yesterday, both the babies are doing great at 8 weeks and 2 days. We got to hear the heartbeats for the first time. Next week will be my last visit with my RE and then I will be released to my OB.
Rdoc
Rdoc,
Isnt it so amazing to see two babies in there and hear the heartbeats? Congratulations! What is your (actual) due date? I am guessing that we wont make it that far, although I hope we make it close.
I only went to 38 weeks my last two preg so I dont really know what 40 weeks preg even feels like!
Look forward to emailing with you...what an adventure!
Sara
Sara,
Yeah, its an exciting and sometimes nerve wracking journey. My due date is 12/23/08 but I am hoping to make it to at least 37 weeks, we'll see how it goes. When is your due date?
Rdoc

I will be soon joining you guys in that journey as I am planning to start another cycle next month or whenever my doc suggests.
Kbear- I am so sorry for your loss. May God rest your mother's soul in peace.
Take care everyone...will be dropping in on and off to check on u guys!!!
Sonu - I'm so sorry for your loss. Great news about starting another cycle. I pray for success and for a great pregancy for you! Good luck and pop in and say hi!
Rdoc - Wonderful news about the sono! Congrats on "graduating" to an OB. I was never more thankful than when Iwe got to stop the PIO shots!
Sara - Glad to hear you got over that scary bump. I would have been soooo scared!
I'm just waiting for my 12-week exam in a little over a week. In my mind and heart that's when I'll be able to breath a sigh of relief for me and the baby. Going to Florida for a quick trip with hubby a few days after. I know I've gained some weight, but I'm still going to wear my bikini. I figure, what the heck, people can laugh if they want (I bought a maternity takini but can't bring myself to wear it yet). Has anyone heard if laying out in the sun/swimming is bad or if there's a time limit??
Take care all!

Its so fun to get online and have emails to read from all of you!
Rdoc: I am due on December 15 but my Dr is telling me to shoot for Nov 15th. I dont know if you have read any books yet but the Dr Barbara Luke one is great. It does tell you to eat SIX meals a day. Normally, that would sound great to me but I really dont have much of an appetite right now. I am not really sick or throwing up, but nothing sounds good to me (except fruit?).
Sonu: I am so sorry for your loss. When I had my last loss (at 23 weeks due to an infection and possibly an incompetent cervix), my husband and I knew we would try again as soon as we could. My Dr told me you are most fertile after a loss, so it was ok to do IVF again as soon as you are ready. I know how hard it is to "gear up" again and I got really depressed over it. But remember, it does go by fast, and the end result is worth it...hang in there...
Cheryl: I feel the same way about getting to 12 weeks. I promised myself that I really would relax when I get there...I have two weeks to go....good luck with your appt and have a great trip to Fla. I think it is ok to be in the sun, just dont let yourself overheat...and drinks LOTS of water..
kbear - so sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. It's always sad when we lose someone we love but know that you have lots of support on the message board and that you have a healthy, tiny baby growing inside you that needs you to take care of yourself.
tamaraj - glad to hear that you're babies are as strong as ever.
Anyone - I don't have "classic" pregnancy symptoms but I do have this severe cramp in my leg that just won't go away. It used to wake me up at night and sometimes I would even scream I was in so much pain. It's also very hot; like someone stabbing my in the leg with a red hot knife. Now it bothers me all the time - day and night - it's still worse at night. This is making sleeping very difficult. As well I have back pain in my lower back from a previous injury. I can't imagine how difficult this pregnancy thing is going to be when I'm actually 30 lbs heavier. Does anyone have any comment about the leg cramps??? I have asked other friends who have had babies but no one seems to have this symptom this early in pregnancy.
Hi everyone,
Sonu, so sorry about your loss and good luck with your next cycle.
Sara, forget eating 6 meals a day, I cant even get the prenatal vitamins in, I don't have much of an appetite at all for anything. I need to read more on twin pregnancies.
Hello,
I'm new to this forum. I'm now 9 weeks with twins. I can relate to Tamaraj with the bleeding. I too had the same thing happen, and thought i mc. I still have bleeding at times and the doc don't really why. I get really upset, plus I don'nt know anyone else who had this problem. I did here people say they bleed some, but not to the extent of it on the floor and everywere. I go to the doc. every week.to make sure things are o.k. I am really scared. and I thought IVF was the hardest part. I guess all and all I'm happy and excited. My due date is Dec. 21 08
So congrats to everyone, and i look forward to talking to you all
