I had severe cramping and spotting day 8 & 9 too, like my period was coming after a 3 day transfer. I had a positive beta on 5/9. I don't think you can get your period on progesterone b/c progesterone is supposed to relax the uterine lining and prevent it from shedding. I'm not an expert, I read that somewhere.

I never thought this whole experience would be this nerv wrecking. For me so far the 2 ww is the worst part. And I absolutly hate needles from all these shot's.
I was just wondering how other people experience this wait cause you pay attention to every twinch in your body.
I know where you are coming from. I am currently on my 2 WW albeit drawing to an end. Like you I detest needles and I remember that whilst cycling for the 1st time I thought how awful it was but the last 2 waits (this will be my third in total) have been horrific, much worse than all the needles.
I think things are done differently here in Spain since they don`t give you a blood test unless the preg test they give you comes up positive, so consequently I have been peeing on sticks all week but with no 2nd line in sight.
Not sure if it serves as any consolation but I have cramped during all 3 waits. My first cycle was positive, I have a little boy aged 21 months, but my second negative.
Any way good luck - anything is possible.

I took progestrone with both my last cycles. On my first cycle I did get my af while on it. This time got a bfp but I am staying on progestrone till week 12. I found the progestrone horrible stuff as it gives you the same effects as early pregnancy signs do. I never read into anything to much when I was on it. Good luck to you and getting a bfp.

They test serum progesterone to make sure the levels are high enough.
