Hi - I'm hoping someone knows the answer to this. I had pretty bad OHSS that began a few days after ET -- around May 2. Today, May 18, it has subsided a lot - almost all gone. My first beta was 121 at 11dp5dt (May 12) and then 310 at 15dp5dt (May 16) -- not ideal, my RE is "concerned." And so am I. The numbers went up 60% in 48 hours, which is JUST at the low end of OK according to my RE. They're really doubling every 72 hours. I go back for another blood test tomorrow. And I'm expecting the news to be not so good. But I just want to know if the OHSS subsiding is indicative of the prenancy going away as well? Trying to prepare myself for the not so good news tomorrow.
thanks!

I think this can be different for everyone. I have heard some women where it gets worse when they are pregnant. I too had OHSS but I dont think I had a horrible case of it. I still had to go to the hospital for the pain but no drainage or anything like that. I was pregnant but the symptoms did go away for me within a week after getting my eggs removed. So, again, I think this is different for everyone! Hopefully your tests turn out ok!!

Hi Sugabeanzs --
Thanks so much for your thoughts on this! I have now had OHSS for 16 days, and while the pain led me to faint a couple of times (lovely), the fluid buildup was never enough by my RE's standards to be drained (my RE was monitoring it with u/s and bloodwork) even though I felt like I was a giant water ballon! So I'm hoping that it's just improving as it should. It's not completely gone - I look maybe 3 month pregnant, not 5 months pregnant anymore . And oddly it was at its worst when my HCG was at its lowest, so maybe it's just resolving itself early. I'm just so nervous that this isn't a good pregnancy - again - sigh......
thanks !!
