Hey girls
Sounds like you both are doing well and on the right track!! It seems like such a long process doesn't it? then you have to deal with the 2ww which is the worst part.

Rainbow
what not hopeless said is about how it is. I had two follies (one each side) that were in the 20's. At my last iui my doctor scanned my overy's to see if the follie had ruptured, meaning that there was a egg in there. She could only see one overy but said that the follie had ruptured. Once you trigger then your body will ovulate. I think thats why they have the 12-24 window frame to do it in. The sperm can live inside you for that long. Goss isn't it amazing that any women get pregnant at all when your body is only fertile for such a small time?

Scan today   My friends keep giving me heaps saying that there will be three in there. I tell ya ladies that is just my luck

Hi again-

So it turns out that i have 2 follies on each side and they wanted me to continue shots for 3 more days!!! I was like- no way... I know they can't guarantee an egg in each folly. But that would be my luck that all 4 would. So the doctor said we could go ahead and do the trigger last night. And we'll do insemination tomorrow.

Hi
Yea four babies OMG!! That would be a handful. Usually your body will just realise the one egg (so my doctor says) but on the meds I guess the chances get higher of more popping out. As you say not every follie has a egg inside so it's kinda luck of the draw!

I had my scan yesterday and theres one little beanie tucked away. The OB said "just one this time" I said "yep just as well I only ordered one!" My dh works out of the country a lot of the time and both our families live in another country so having two or three would have been hard work. I haven't told my son yet as I thought it would be better to wait till the 12 week mark. The scans these days are just amazing. For something only two months they have developed so quickly.

Anyway best of luck for tommorow. Just try and relax I know it's hard but I do think it helps.

How are you doing rainbow?

Good morning girls. Not hopeless, what time did you do the IUI? Make sure you keep us posted on any symtoms. Kery, did you have symptoms during your TWW? This is my 4th day on 225 iu of Bravelle and Repronex and I am feeling it. I go in for follie scan tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. and if all is ready then to Trigger and I think I will inseminate 24 and 36 post trigger. I think that is a safe timing. I was worried about ovulating too early before I go back for ultrasound tomorrow. My cervical mucus is watery and I feel lots of ovulation cramping. The good think is my temp was still low this morning so I know I have not ovulated yet. Do you girls know how accurate temping is? Not hopeless, how are you feeling this morning? Kery make sure you keep us updated on that little beanie. Good luck to everyone. Not hopeless, lets go get our BFPs!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh rainbowmoms-

You make me smile! We will get our BFPs!
I had the IUI at 9:30this morning. The only issue with IUIs is major cramping the whole day afterward. But its worth it, huh? Man, I really thought it was going to stick last month because I had sore boobs the whole 2ww. But I'll let you know if I have any symptoms this time. Good luck!

Hi girls
Well not hopeless it's just a waiting game now!! I can't wait till the 4th to hear your news!!!!

Rainbow - I didn't use the temping my doctor just scanned everyday for the last three days before the trigger. You will be fine I know it's hard not to worry but your clinic won't let you ovulate till your body is ready. Yea the 2ww part is difficult to deal with. After three cycles I learnt not to read to much into anything. If you take any meds on the 2ww (I was on progestrone and hcg shot every 3rd day) it can give you the same effects as early preg signs do. All my cycles I had sore boobs light cramping right through. The only difference was 15dp I started to feel sick which I still have now. Mind you with my son (11 yrs now) I had no signs and bleed on and off for first few months.

Anyway gee I can't wait to hear the bfps in the few weeks :D :D

Thanks Kery, I am so worried that I will ovulate before this afternoon at 4:30 when I have an ultrasound scheduled. My temps were still down this morning and I was real uncomfortable because of my eggs growing but this afternoon I don't feel too much cramping and I am just afraid that I might ovulate before I get to the doctor. Today is cycle day 12 I feel a little uncomfortable but not like last night. I am going to worry myself sick. UGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!! Just by chance that I ovulated sometime this afternoon and when I go to the doctor and he says I ovulated then do I still have a chance if we do IUI today at the doctor or do you think it is too late? Man this is not fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How are you doing Not Hopeless?

I know it is very hard not to worry. This is your 1st iui right? I thought the same thing when I did my first ivf. With a iui your egg needs to have realised from the overy so that the sperm can get to it. I was just wondering did your clinic not suggest going straight to ivf instead of iui? It's just that my friend who is 40 was told that when in that age bracket ivf would be her best chance.

Best of luck for today :D :D

The egg survives for like 24 hours after ovulation, so I'm sure they'll still go thru with the IUI. And I bet if all the other #'s like sperm count, FSH, thyroid, etc. were within normal range the insurance company requires you try IUI first. Atleast that's what happened with us. We had to do 6 mths Clomid with IUIs, and now 3 cycles of GonalF shots with IUI. Then we can discuss IVF. The other issue might be paying out of pocket. In any case, we're keeping our fingers crossed for you (and me :) )

Soooooooooo disappointed. I went for follie scan yesterday and after 150 mg of clomid days 3-7 and 225 iu of bravelle and Repronex for 5 days doctor seen one follie at 12mm and another at 10mm and one at 25mm and she was not sure if that 25mm contained an egg. She had trouble finding it. She is not sure if I ovulated before I went in or not because she said it did not looked ruptured but that it could have ruptured and closed back up right away. And then, I got so sick last night and had a fever of 102 so not sure what to think of my temp this morning. i took tylenol last night and my temp this a.m. was 98.4 and yesterday was 97,4. I don't know if this mornings temp was coming down from last nights fever or if i actually ovulated. This cycle was a total bummer. I have my swimmers sitting here but doctor says she will do one IUI this afternoon at 5:00 because she gave an HCG yesterday at 5;30 and if I want she can do another IUI on Saturday but I am thinking what is the point if I already ovulated or if i will be ovulating this evening? Please someone help me understand. Yesterday morning I checked my CM and my cervix was high and closed and watery CM then at about 3;00 i felt really wet so I went to the bathroom and had lots i mean lots of ewcm (gross i know) then I checked my cervix and it was really low and open. Can anyone give me a little hope or insight. I don't feel real hopeful with this cycle. I think it is going to be a bust because everything went wrong. No feeling very happy today. They did the IUI but I really don't think anything is going to happen. I guess I will have to wait it out until AF comes along to start a new cycle.

Rainbow
I am very sorry for how you are feeling and I know it just isn't fair. My first ivf was cancelled the day before EC and I was so bummed out. We had payed so much money (all out of pocket) and had to wait two months and start again. Did your clinic do an assessment cycle before your iui? Both my clinics did to see what day I ovulated. It does all sound very strange that they don't know if you have ovulated or not! Did they do blood tests right up to your trigger to see what your levels were doing? Sorry to be noisy I'm just trying to figure out what went wrong?

Thanks Kery, you can never be too nosey. That was the strange part is that they did not do any bloodwork. I think I am going to make an appointment to have a long discussion with my RE. It seems strange the way I responded to the fertility meds or lack thereof. I think I want them to do another FSH to see where it is at. Thanks girsl for being here for me. I really appreciate it. Kery how are you coming along? Any news on your ultrasound or feeling all the pregnancy symptoms yet? Not Hopeless, how are you doing and do you feel anything? Oh, aren't you on progesterone?
