Message for S Brown(Southampton Clinic)

Post by Janeya »

dear sarah
Sorry haven't been on lately what with christmas and birthdays etc etc.but i have just seen your message
I rang today Monday 19th January as I had my period on Sunday in fact I rang the old number on Sunday it rings and then cuts off.I rang Chalybeate main reception and they gave me the two new numbers.I rang and left a message on Sunday but I rang and spoke to them today.I am going to the Princess Anne on Wednesday to have my bloods done, only because my Doctors surgery made a right mess up of the last lot.The nurse I spoke to today said that Princess Anee would be like a builders yard with builders everywhere and stacked with boxes.I asked if the bloods would be ready for a day 19 start and she said they are not booking day 19 appointments at the moment and they do not know when they will be up and running over there.A friend of mine rang them last week for a frozen go and they said the same to her.I think we might be the guinea pigs they they will be using to test everything now theres a scary thought.
If you hear anymore let me know and visa versa.Might see you there my little guinea pig friend!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Jane
Nice to hear from you........

Its getting to be a real pain at the mo...am really fed up with the waiting.
My AF is due end of this week and was so hoping to start but I just know it will be "sorry! not ready yet"

I work for Bt in the newsites office and we have a failed order for the phone lines, there is nothing we can do until the builders complete their work so not only am I pissed off over not starting tmt am also getting stressed at work( even though it is not our fault we still get a failure against our dept!! stats! stats! stats and al that crap!)

Oh well, must try and stay +ve. Its hard though as I will be 35 end of this year and Pyschologically I feel time is running out.

Take care and speak soon

Dear Sarah
I know what you mean when you get to another birthday,I will be 36 next month, and as we all know our fertility starts going down after 30 or so say all the reports.
I think they should have had this new clinic all set up and running before they closed the other lot down.
I am going tomorrow for my blood tests if I find anything out I will let you know.
I forgot how much I hate neddles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Keep positive we will get there
Jane

Hi Jane

Hope the blood tests go okay tomorrow(assume these are standard ones before starting tmt as you are doing fresh cycle)

Re new clinic. all the external cable work etc has now been completed by BT so things should hopefully get moving soon.........

Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhggggggg!!!!!
Hi Jane,

Just phoned clinic for an update and was told the builders have delayed another couple of weeks so will not be starting any tmts yet.
My Af is due early next week so was hoping they would be taking day 19 appts as Katie Jo was told by them if Af arrives on or after 26/01 they will book day 19s,
Jan at the hospital was very apologetic and said that was the case but as things have been delayed again will be a no go.

I will now have been waiting 3 cycles to get started and am just so fed up.
Oh well, nothing I can do about it.......
Hope the blood tests were not too painful.
Take care

dear Sarah
The blood tests were fine a waste of £150.00 pounds though just for a bit of blood.
Princess Anne looks like a right builders yard with things boxed up and painters everywhere!
Janice did my bloods she said they may be in there in a couple of weeks but couldn't definetly say and that was with fingers crossed,as they still have to wait for the inspector to come and check the new clinic out before they can do any tmts.I have to wait until my next bleed and ring them then, but I have just gone 55 days on the last period,so am hoping not this time, she also said it was better to wait a while to then do it anyway.
All fun and games but as you said there is nothing we can do about it but just sit and wait!!!!!
Take care
Speak soon

Hi Jane,
hope you are keeping well....
Have you received a letter from clinic yet?
I got one sat which basically says that they have now moved and the lab has completed its quality control targets. they say that during first few weeks day 19 appts will be limited but will do their best........

I also got told I have to have a day 2 LH/FSH blood test(more money!)
did not have to have this last time but assume each test only lasts a cetain time...oh well.....

I phoned them up and am not convinced that I will be cycling next AF but am keeping my fingers crossed. It sounds very chaotic with lots of boxes laying everywhere etc...

Digressing a bit, I was really p****d off with letter as they actually stated in the letter one of the reasons for delay was BTs incompetency!! I work in the planning dept that overseed the external cabling etc for the clinic and the only reason BT were delayed was because of the incompetency of the clinics builders!! basically BT cannot lay cables until builder has laid all his duct...so I know for a fact that delays were nothing to do with BT...it makes me cross because anyone receiving letter will get a -ve impression of BT.
Anyway have digressed totally
Take care
Sarah
