Hi Indie - Don't you just love computers and how quickly we can all chat, without ever picking up a phone...and with someone we haven't even met :) OK, I have no idea what Luveris is used for. I searched and it just says it's a LH (luteinizing hormone) that is a naturally occurring fertility hormone. Maybe it does the same thing as Menopur? The Luveris injection is every day, for however many days I inject GonalF.

Hmm, for some reason I didn't remember you having a cyst..sorry to hear that. I had one last cycle and I was on Lupron an extra week and a half until it went away. My E2 (or whatever it's called) was so high, but it was fromt he cyst releasing too much estrogen. That's great it's not messing with your B/W and I hope they start your stims here shortly!!

Indie:

Luveris and Menopur are the same...they are small quantity of HCG...that help follicles grow better in quality. Some beleive that stim with only estrogen spoils the quality and adding HCG makes the quality better.

Indie: BCPs shrink the cyst but its a slow process...But if RE says its okay to have a cycst and stim then dont worry....

Also...its true men and women are sooo different....people say its hard to guess what women think and want but I think same goes with the men....they just dont know how to use their mouth and tongue to communicate their feelings...and to top that they are unpredictable.... My DH does not know that I had a seond beta today.....I went by myself and waiting for the results by myself....

Angram: So the meds arrived....good....

Bear: Congrates...we are one day apart. My 2nd HCG/beta was today....hope it doubles....

Hey guys....I get to start stims tonight but sadly my RE wants me to order 12 more vials of Menopur. That's over 700.00......sadly I don't have that. I guess I'll ask the doctors office on Sunday for any they can donate me, otherwise not really sure what I'll do. I have enough for 5 vials....I might order it tomorrow and then order the rest on Wednesday when I get paid.

Praying for you Stress :) I've read numerous times that 'doubling' is just a general number the doctors like to see...but it's by no means written in stone....and as long as it's increasing that's a good thing. When do you go in again?

Indie - I'm so sorry they want you to order more, I feel horrible for you. I'd definitely say if you have enough for 5, order that and see how things go. Maybe you won't need the 12 they're suggesting? Can you order a couple at a time and have them delivered next day?

Stress - Try not to worry, I agree with Indie. Give it a couple more days and do another beta..I'm praying for you!!

Sorry for jumping in on you guy's thread. I just saw Stressball had posted & was reading her reply on another thread. Yes, I remember you too! Please don't get too upset about the 2nd beta. My second beta was only about a 60% increase over 2 days. My 3rd beta 2 days after that more than doubled. I was so sick with worry for those 2 days, sure I was going to have a m/c BUT apparently the number doubling every 2 days is just a rough guideline. As long as the # isn't going down, there's plenty of reason to hope. Hang in there for a couple more days.

PS. Unfortunately, the worrying never seems to end even with a BFP. There's ALWAYS some new milestone to get over.

Hi everyone...sorry long time no post, but I do read and catch up with all of your news daily- just not much to add and I have been in a little funk. I was spotting a bit and although not too worried, I just felt blah and lots of morning sickness. I had a second ob sonogram yesterday and all is well. The heartbeat is 170 and it grew more than triple in length in the last 9 days. I did write in my journal that I had the ring out for nearly 3 hours last week after the 1st sono (when I retruned to work and forgot to put it in!) The study coordinator said I should have called and they probably would kick me out of the study....??? Later in the conversation as I profusely apologized for not calling (it says to inthe journal, but I didn't read that) she said not to worry about it and she'll just turn it all in. I only go one more time for my final study visit in mid-late June.

Stress...don't lose hope...doubling is a guide, I'm glad you'll get more news Saturday and hopefully be totally reassured. I'm sure DH is afraid of scenarios like this and loves you so much he can't handle watching you in so much worry and pain...men act so weird in the face of trying times. My husband has been jerk-sish all week and tells me after the sonogram yesterday he was freaking out about "my bleeding" and how we would handle something like a loss. AGHHH!

Indie- That really stinks about needing more menopure- I too needed more, but I think only 4 more(and a local specialty pharmacy had it). It's good you know early and I think it's a good idea to ask for samples/extras and then just order a few at a time- you won't need them right away. Sorry you have to have that added worry right now.

Stress - I'm sorry this is so stressful. hang in there. I'm thinking of you, which is praying in my own way. I hope you can take some comfort in 2ndtimer's advice.

Indie - I also had to order lots more meds (over 1k more) and just got surgical bills, and I know it is so stressful. It seems like every step along the way costs have increased. But since you are actually in a cycle, and there will likely be unforseen extras along the way, I think you have to go with your decision to do it if there is any way possible. You can't return your meds, so you would be out more $$ than you could save by not purchasing more.

I know you didn't ask my opinion, but I hate to see you stop now. One of the questions I had that I have only recently been able to answer is - which will I regret most: not trying, or spending this money if we are not successful? I know I previously mentioned that the money we spent was 3 long years of working a challenging second job, so it was very hard won. Yet even though things are tight and I do think about how we could have used that money for other bills, now I know that deep down I do not regret trying.

Like Becca, I haven't had much to add lately, but I'm still rooting for all of you.

Good morning, ladies.

Indie - How are the stims going, feel okay so far? Did you straighten out the Menopur as well? I hope you're doing well.

Stess - Did you get your beta retested today, let us know.

Becca - I cannot believe your study nurse told you they may drop you from the study, that's a bit much and uncalled for! I know the morning sickness must really suck, but it's a sign that you're still doing good, right? :)

whynotus - It's good to hear from you, hope all is well.

As for me, I had my pre-Lupron U/S yesterday and all went well. I start Lupron injections Monday and AF will hopefully arrive around June 2nd or 3rd. I hope this is the last time I see her for quite some time :)

I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday weekend!

Hey Ladies,

This is my first post on this board. :D I am in the duramed study too and in the Atl area. ER should be sometime next week. I go back to the RE on Sunday. This is our first IVF and we are just praying that it works. So great to find others in the study.

Indie-I wonder if we are at the same clinic. I go to GRS. I need some more menopur too. What did the clinic tell you about the meds?
