Neffi that's great you're on your way. I did 3 vials of menopur at first...way too much. I mixed all 3 in 1 vial of water, so I would think 1 in 1/2 would be fine. And it makes for a smaller shot...be happy !! :)

Hello Ladies,

BIG CONGRATS SD and Rinnie that what fabulous new BFP's.

Lovebug my heart goes out to but I am sure that when you are ready to try again things were turn out wonderfully.

Neffi I am going to be taking repronex(which they tell me is the same as menopur, the phar said menopur was on backorder so they had to switch me), anyway I am taking 4 vials and I will be only using 1cc for all four vials, so the half cc seems reasonable.

Have a restful weekend.

Rinnie- Congrats, I'm thrilled for you.

Lovebug- My heart just sunk when I read your post. Wouldn't it just be great if all good things happened to all good people....sadly some of the most wonderful people i know have had to deal with too much heartache...so unfair. I hope that very soon that heartache will be gone and that you'll be able to stay strong and hopeful. We all join you in your grieving and are sending lots of hugs and support your way.

I just found out my 4 fertilized eggs are ALL dividing properly! I am thrilled. The transfer is scheduled for tomorrow morning. I only need two good ones as New Zealand has embryo replacement limits and women 35-40 get two--if I was over 40 they'd let me have a third. Just hoping I get two strong ones for tomorrow!

Rinnie and SDTrying--you are our inspiration! wow! You did it--congratulations. You both are going to make super Mums!

LoveBug--my heart is breaking for you. Please get a big hug from your DH and just let the tears flow out. Soon you will be starting fresh and on your way to Motherhood.

forMaggie--seven is super! don't despair. I just read about a woman Courtney on the previous board who got BFP with only five. She is inspiration to me. And I betcha you may even have some leftover for freezies!

Rinnie and SD Trying:
I am so happy for you both! How exciting!!
My RE reccomends no sex for 10 weeks.

Lovebug: I am so sorry that this cycle didn't work for you. Take time to heal and have a good cry. I know it sucks. I hope you can jump in when you are ready. Sending lots of hugs.

Visiting family this weekend, and have an u/s at a different clinic on Sunday. They will check uterline lining, and hopefully I will be able to have ET for FET on 5/30.

Sorry for not having more time for personals. Sending hugs to everyone.

Neffi: I do 2 powders and use 1/2 ml of water (I have 3ml syringes...but they assure me it's the same as cc). It doesn't seem like enough when I draw it back out....and then add my GOnalF and Lupron and it's still a small shot but that's what I do.

Well now I'm worried, everyone seems to be doing way more than 1 vial of Menopur, do you ladies also do Follistum? I think I would have heard her say if it was more than 1. Im sure Im fine.....I tend to be a worrier! I wrote a post to Ghost so I'll see what he says. Thanks !

Neffi – Congrats on starting stims, you’re on your way! I do not take Menopur, so I have no idea about the amount of water to be used. I would think that as long as you’re using all of the powder, you should be fine. Doesn’t your RE have an after hours number you can call and ask? Everyone is different, so just keep the PMA and follow what they say.

AdsGirl – Thanks so much for keeping up wth the dates, I start Lupron on 5/26 and my tentative ER and ET are 6/15 and 6/18 (6/20)

SDtrying and Rinnie – Congratulations on your BFP’s!!

Love Bug – I’m so sorry to hear about your BFN, sending hugs your way.

IMBlessed – Good luck with your ER tomorrow

SueQiwi – Wonderful news that all 4 fertilized!! How are you doing after ET?

As for me, I had my pre-Lupron U/S yesterday and all went well. I start Lupron injections on Monday, so I’m finally on my way! I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend.

Oh, LoveBug, I am so sorry. There really is nothing to say except I am confident that someday soon, you will make a wonderful mother. We are thinking of you.

I am glad so many of you are getting the ball rolling with the stims. Once you start sticking yourself, it goes really fast. ER is right around the corner.

I got some encouraging news a few minutes ago...(Since my ER on 5/22, my RE has been telling me that I am great risk for OHSS. She also said that if my ovaries were to spring leaks and start filling me up with fluid, that ET would be cancelled.) Well, girls, I had b/w and an u/s this morning and.....my E2 count is leveling off and...so far, I am airtight! No leaky ovaries here! (Though I do feel as giant and puffed up as a blow fish.)

They have schedule my ET for Monday at 11:30! I can't tell you how relieved I am!

Enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend!

Best,
Elizabeth

Sue Hope you're doing well after your transfer....rest & take it easy!

Neffi Yes, I took Follistim in the morning & Menopur at night, but I'm 42 so I needed more... some people only have Follistim, some only menopur, so your amounts are fine. I'm sure your RE knows what he's doing. Everybody reacts so differently, that why they have to monitor you.

SD When's your next Beta? How are you feeling?

LoveBug Thinking of you and sending good thoughts!

Have a great weekend everybody....relax!!!

Hi Evereyone.. How r u all doing...

I had been away for a while and was not posting as nothing much was happening at my end except the BCP.. but I had been regulalrly visiting this forum and reading whats going on.....

I am gonna start stims from Monday now and I just pray and hope that this cycle works for me as my last one got cancelled......I will be on Reronex 150 units and Follistim 150 units.......along with a baby aspirin.......

I stopped my BCP on 5/20 and havent got AF yet.. I am just worried that I have to start my stims on Monday and I havent got my AF yet... is it something I need to worry about.. Could anyone please advice... i would check with my RE also on this on Monday....I just pray that everything goes well....

Lots of prayers for all of us and lots of baby dust to each one of us :)
Have a great long weekend...!

Amber, not really sure. I know that my RE didn't say anything about having to have AF before stims...but many women say that their RE's do require it? My RE didn't even ask me about AF at all during my baseline before stims. They did bloodwork to make sure I was supressed and then the nurse asked if I had bled since starting the Lupron. When I said that I'd just started AF the day before...she said "then you're probably supressed".

It took about 3 days after I was off BCP's before I started, and that first day was really really light. Second day was heavy in the early AM and then almost nonexistent by mid morning. Third day was the same, heavy in the AM with lots of cramps and then it disappeared LOL I'm going in for my first stim ultrasound in the morning and I'm praying she's pretty much gone by then...I hate ultrasounds when AF is present :)

Hope she shows up for you today or tomorrow to ease your mind.

LoveBug - I am so, so sorry. I am sure no words can help right now but know all of us are thinking of you and feeling for you. Let yourself have some time.

Neffi - I took 75 Follistim and started 2 amps Repronex to 1/2 water, then went down to 1 amp 1/2 water because my numbers were off the charts. My RE said that water doesn't make much difference. You can take the whole thing if you want, it just makes a bigger shot.

Amber - My RE office said you may or may not get AF, but it didn't matter. They said at that point they are in full control of your body. Great thought isn't it?

ForMaggie - YAY! That is great news! I know how nerve wracking that OHSS scare can be.

Rinnie and SD!!!! CONGRATS!!! That is amazing. I am so happy for you both. I am sure you haven't even come down yet. Hope I am following in your shoes! Are you planning the nursery out yet?

Thank you everyone for your wonderful words. This board both times has meant so much to me, and I will continue to pray for all of your BFP. I have to say, second time around BFN isnt quite so hard as the first.

DH and I did shed some tears...I dont know where we are going to go from here. Third times the charm?!?!?!

Maybe we will save the money and spring for a trip to Hawaii instead

Best to everyone!!!!

I am so happy for you Rinnie!!! I know what you went through last time, and now look...youre a mommy!

I am going to be off the site for a while...just to take a break and clear my thoughts, but I will peek and make sure I see lots of BFP!!!

You ladies are amazing!! Thank you again!

I know I have been a stranger to this board, but I just wanted to say a little bit about my ivf journey. I started with BCP's and Lupron, followed by 250 units of follistim and 75 units of menopur. We did the egg retrieval on 20th of May. They received 12 eggs, 9 of which made it and fertilized through icsi. On May 23rd, which was friday, they implanted 2 embryo's. One was 4 cell and one 5 cell. I am only 24 so they limit the embryo's implanted. This is my second cycle. I started the 2ww shortly after embryo transfer yesterday. My estrogen level has been pretty high at 4500 on May 17th and the nurse said I could have some symptoms. I have been laying flat for over a day. I have had hot flashes, night sweats, and cramping. I also had a tiny bit of pink spotting last night. I am just trying to keep focused. Cramping is a good sign isn't it? I am just a little nervous. My beta isn't until June 6th which might as well be a lifetime. Anyone have similar symptoms?
