Hi Shantala
My sister had the same problem with the Mamas & Papas car seat 5 years ago, I can't believe they haven't changed it yet  Are you using the padded bits on the straps? They took them off at first as they looked so bulky but found it was better to use them as them helped to hold the baby's chin up. They also ended up putting a small blanket under the front of the base to tilt the whole thing back a bit. (probably not what the company would recommend).

How's everyone doing? I've really been feeling it the last few days and won't be sorry if the weather cools down a bit. Had my consultant appt about the hernia on Friday and he wasn't concerned at all, just warned against any heavy lifting and not to stand for too long but he didn't think it would be a problem for delivery.
I've decided to take on a cleaner for the next few weeks as I'm finding it too much at the moment and don't feel I can ask my family to help with housework.

Hi ladies,

Shantala, you sound so happy, i can't wait ti join you. Midwife went ok, have a slight UTI but nothing conclusive, so had to send another sample for analysis today. Sent DH to the doctors for the sample bottle and he said everyone looked at him!!! not very happy.

Su, nice to hear from you, I wanted to get a cleaner for the next few months. but DH won't hear of it as we have had a couple in the past and had a few problems, the last one who was great had her 3 years, went and spilt bleach down the stairs and on the hall wallpaper (she was insured), so DH will not have one again,so he has more housework to do. I agree the heat was a killer, swelled everywhere.

As for me doing ok, measuring full term for a singleton, so starting to feel it now, and still working full time!! Only 2 more weeks to go, DH started freaking out now i'm at 30 weeks as had nothing bought or organised for myself for hospital, so went shopping sunday to finish off, finally bought some nappies too. Just waiting for the cots and car seats to arrive, and just started washing all the babies things. Trying to get it all tied up before next consultant visit in case he puts me on restricted duties.l

Hi to all i've missed hope your all doing ok.
catch you later.

Hello Ladies -

I've missed you so much. I have been away, helping take care of my grandmother who is very ill. Unfortunately, we found out that while she survived breast cancer 10 yrs ago and it has not returned, she has developed lymphoma (still waiting to find out type, etc). Please keep her in your prayers.

Shantala - I can completely see why you are so smitten. Elliana is absolutely beautiful. She looks like a perfect little angel. I'm so happy for you.

Rachel - we need pics of little Ruby - or at least direction on where to find them! I know she is just as lovely as our little Elliana - can't wait to see her!

Sorry for the limited personals - I'm trying to get back into the swing of things after being away and still (yes, still) battling m/s - into the last week of my 1st trimester, though!!! Hoping it begins to subside soon... though my sister suffered for the full 9 mos... not exactly my plan, but I know it will all be worth it when I have my own little bundle of love like Elliana and Ruby. ;)

Got to schedule the nuchal translucency for next week or early the following - just happy to have another scan before 18 wks! ;)

Hugs to you all - hoping all are well and hanging in there!!!

Hey all!!! I don't have time to do personals right now but just writing to do an update. I am doing well. Now moved over to maternity clothes because I was running out of things to wear that I already had and don't want any in between stuff to have to get rid of later. So despite my off and on nausea I am still forcing myself to eat even if it is a plain bagel. So that my babies will get big and strong. I have heard, especially with multiples, that it is good to gain some wait int he beginning because it will help for the babies to big quicker. So....

Here are my pics from my last US. 9.5 weeks. My next one will be May 29th, which is going to be the Nuchal scan with the high risk doc. Then after that I go to my OB on the 4th for a checkup. Don't know the schedule after that. I hope that finding out the sex will be possible after that. I will be 13 weeks something when I see the ob so 4 weeks later I will be 17 weeks so they should be able to see it then. I assume that the anatomy scan is done by them. I am not sure. Maybe it is the high risk doc.

Image

This is Baby A. He/she is on the right side of my uterus, left side if you are looking at me. You can see his/hers hands and legs and sort of a profile.

Image

This is Baby B. He/sheis on the left side of my uterus, right side if you are looking at me. In this pick he/She has their back to us and their head turned so you can see the nose, sort of.

Both are measuring on time and had heart beats of 174 and 163. I am soo excited for the next scan to see how big they have gotten.

Sorry no personals, but i will next time.

Steph

I had a moment of energy - I've been wanting to add those "due in.." blinkies for a while. :) Does anyone know if Andrea has had her little one?? I don't think I've ever seen her on the thread ...?

Congrats Stephjim - on the great scan and ob appt! I've got to schedule my nuchal for this week or early next week. Hope the m/s is getting a little better for you as the 1st trimester draws closer to an end... it's not really showing any signs of letting up for me. Still having two breakfasts every morning (due to losing the first) - I feel like a Hobbit - having 1st and 2nd breakfast! :) It's all going to be worth it in the end though!!! :)

I know nothing like forcing yourself to eat. Luckily I have not thrown up, but I do get nauseas if I don't eat for a while and I do get nauseas if I eat too much or actually anything at all. So it is hard to tell if it is going to effect me. Fingers crossed we both get relief in a couple of weeks or so. Me three since I am a week behind you.

I got my nuchal translucency scheduled for this Friday - May 23rd!!

It will be the last time I get to see my little one before the 18-20 wk scan... I have to admit though, even with all the m/s - i'm a bit nervous. I still have that fear of going to a scan and finding no hb... :( I guess it's a fear you never get over once you've experienced it.

Knowing me, I'll be on the internet scanning for missed m/c at 12 wks... :( I know we've all had these days when you just wish you had a little sliding glass door to your uterus so you could KNOW everything was ok. I'm ok, just always that fear in the back of your head - that sometimes creeps up to the forefront!

Hope everyone is having a great Monday and this is the beginning of a fantastic week!!!

Hi Steph - Hope all is going well for you. :) I see only a few more days til your Nuchal Scan - :) :) :) :) :)

Mine went great! Thanks for asking! I was a bit worried, I must admit - not for any reasons but just nervous in general. I need to get my piccies scanned and loaded on here. I'm so excited, my little one looks like a baby now!!! :)

We went at 12w2d and he/she measured 13w1d! Heartbeat was 155 and all was well with the Nuchal also (at least through the scan, the blood results will be forthcoming). Doctor said everything looked normal, though. And the coolest part was seeing our little one moving around!! He/she was yawning, stretching, putting hands/fingers in her/his mouth and snuggling with the umbilical cord like a blankey. :) So precious!!! They gave us tons of pictures, a roll about 5 feet long! But I won't bore you guys will all of them!! We did get 2 4-D images on there as well, which was cool because we weren't expecting them. Oh and we THINK it might be a boy - we saw what might have been a boy part - but it could have been her leg! The sonographer agreed that she thought it was a boy as well, but she said "don't hold me to that!!" - so we may be thinking blue - that will be me and 5 BOYS in the house!!! AAAIIIGGHH~

I can't wait for you to have yours, Steph - it's very cool!! Sadly, though, I won't have another scan until 18-20 weeks.

I go to my OB on the 4th of June, so I will find out then when my anatamy scan will be. I am not sure, in my case, if it is done by them or by the high risk doc. I will ask the high risk doc Thur. I am hoping it will be around 17weeks it just depends on the doc, I think.
