hi ther girls... we are ok...

tasha- Happy Birthday tomorrow... my sisters bday is tomorrow also... your hitting the big 30th... wow... i was going through a failed IVF during my 30th. as for his button..his belly button stuck out (turkey is done) his stuck out about 1/2 inch, like a little ball under his skin... many times they will fix themselves... ours runs in the family.. they typically do not do anything until they are 4-5 years old... hopfully hers will fix itself..
our invites went out today... how many people did you invite.. we are trying to keep it smaller, but the list goes on and on... hopfully it will be nice out and people can be in and out and also in the basement (DH's hideout) thank goodness it's finished... good luck on the house hunting... now is a good time to buy.. both bartlett and algonquin are really nice areas... just watch the schools in bartlett, depending on where you look.

kim-it's funny how they know the word "no"...yuck dog food... my girl freinds daughter would hide in the closet and eat their dog food... yuck.. Gavin has not tried the cat food... does ellie use her walker?? i think that is how gavin got the idea.. he is still not letting go of my finger when we walk.. it's funny...gavin has only said dada 2x... DH is very upset and "works" with him every night... and gaivn just keeps saying mama and yes and this and kitty and now he says ooth (tooth) becasue he loves his tooth brush, and throws a fit when we take it away..
do they still have conversations with each other? -

and NO gavin is not sleeping... it was one time, and now back to up twice a night.. i tihnk that he has acid reflux, and gets heartburn (like me) when he lays down to sleep... we are going to the dr tomorrow to see what they say, he had GERD as an infant, but i thought it was better, so who knows.. i think that he is getting another tooth... he really hasn't let me really get in there and check, but it looks like it might be..
hope that everyone has a great day!!

Hello Girls....

Colleen - thanks for the B-Day wishes.... that's right your sister & I have the same B-Day! Well your DS's button sounds just like Aubrey's... hopefully hers will fix itself - we'll just have to wait and see. Well our invite list has 105 people on it... but out of those 105 people 39 are kids (talk about crazy). Also I know about 30-35 people won't show but we still had to send them invites. Thankfully we are having the party at the Bartlett Park District which has a baseball field, park, etc. this way the kids can go outside.... when is Gavin's party? Aubrey's is the 24th! Yeah the houses we are looking at in Bartlett would actually go to the new schools Liberty & Kenyon and then to S. Elgin High School - that's a big thing to consider for us. However I like district 300 better - we'll see.

Well sorry to hear Gavin only slept one full night... please keep us posted as to what the doctor says. Hopefully it will get better!

Tasha

Hi gals....

Colleenl--sorry to hear the sleep was short lived. Hopefully the doc will help you figure something out. Wow, Gavin is saying a LOT of words! Ellie does use her walker, but she doesn't get how to control it, so she just goes FAST FORWARD and then crashes! :D Braeden has started to SCREAM when we take one of his favorite chew toys away...he even takes it to bed! Should I fight this? Or will this pass?

Tasha--Happy B-day! 30? Wow, you young thing! I hope you had a great day. 105 people? Holy cow! I don't even know if I know that many people. I think we're going to invite 20 or 30. We're sticking more to close friends and family. Our back yard is pretty small, and I don't think we could fit many more. (Plus, Ellie still gets a bit nervous with crowds. I figure I shouldn't tick her off on her b-day!)

I did order their b-day plates, cups, etc. last night. I'm currently working on their invite. I just want it to be perfect!

hi there girls..

TASHA-HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!! are you doing anything special for your b-day??..holy cow tasha over 100 people... we are at 63 and that to me is way too many.. good thing it's at the park district... it's funny. i grew up in district 300..we are in now 158 here.. the huntley district.. i love it!! Gavin's b-day party is the 25th... good luck with the kids..are you planning any games or anything??. it will be fun.. one tip that they told me for the belly button was to keep the diaper/pants over the button and keep it snug... i've been doing that with gavin, in hopes that it works...

kim-your party is what i wis hfor.. i have a larger family so even small is not that small... that does not include any of my cousins.. as for braeden chewy... i would let him have it, and it should pass... i read somewhere that boys need a security object more then girls... mine always needed a blankee... i would look into buying another one just incase, a back up. gavin loves crashing his walker into anything, he aims for it all.. maybe it's the boy with all the destruction.. Gavin's words just started within the last couple of weeks.. and now he is learning a new one every few days... i'm also one of those people that repeats everything a 1000 times, and just points and says what things are... have you gotten out on any more runs? our weather is rain today and a lot colder this weekend.. yuck..

well... we are going to try the zantac again.. to see if it helps him... i put jeans on him (they were just a little snug) and he ended up having a fit and crying... and sticking his fist down his throat...took them off and he was a lot better... another sign of reflux.. tight pants bring on symptoms. so we will see tonight. hope that everyone stays well, and healthy

hi there girls... not to much activity over here... hope that everyone is doing well, and the kiddos are keeping you all busy... as for us, we are good... gavin is walking more, but still not to steady on his feet.. he's getting there... he is still not sleeping through the night, and waking to eat... once he hits 1 year (in just 3 weeks from today ) i'm really going to work at stopping nursing... help me...

i;m posting a couple of pictures on photo bucket... one is him with his pretzel... he gags on mashed potatoes and ANY other people food, but will sit there and bit and chew pretzels.. he loves them, and gets SO excited.. he is so different then my other boys... so so different...

tasha- hope that you had a great b-day

well hope that everyone has a great day and a great week... mothers day is coming soon... any good plans??

It has been quiet over here, hasn't it?

colleen--LOVE the pics of Gavin! He looks so happy with his pretzels! The b-day hat is so cute...where'd you get it? I've been looking for hats/crowns for their b-day. Only problem? My kids have big frickin' heads! I found something at BRU that might work, but I'm still looking. When is Gavin's party? I can't believe we're wrapping up our first year. Oh, I feel ya on the food issue...somedays my kids are great with finger food--other days, they just refuse. It's so annoying---I hope this passes soon! Good luck on weaning..I hear that can be tough.

Tasha--love the new pics of your princess! How was the big b-day? Did you party like a rock star? I hope so!

Ellie is getting very close to walking. She pushed her little cart around all the time! Both kids cruise everywhere, but Ellie can stand on her own for a good minute or so. She's just not brave enough to take a step on her own yet. I'm kindof glad, though! It's hard enough to chase after them when they're crawling---seriously, 2 against 1 is exhausting! :? Braeden now has 4 teeth and a couple more coming in. Ellie still has 2, but her top gums are busting!

Hope everyone is doing well....I wish our "old" friends would check in for our first b-days!

Hiya Ladies,how are you...

OMG,i took a peek on the bucket for the first time in ages last night, awww all your little cherubs are beautiful..

Collen,i loved Gavin bday hat, soooo cute..

Kim,your crawling videos were ace..

Tasha,Aubery is a little cutie..

Racheal..Mikayla too is a little darling and your DS's are too cute :) :)

I cant believe we're all planning our babies first bday, how exciting is that!!! We're going with a football theme on account of DP being footie daft, and Jack already has 3 different footballs!! Ive organized a bouncy castle, and am looking into a face painter to entertain some of the older kids, but jeeez they're bloody expensive here..
My friend makes hand crafted cards and invites,so her gift to Jack is prparing all invites, thank you cards and decorating the hall, she owns her own business and does this for a living,so im pretty excited, they should look lovely.

Well.we're finally crawling properly...shoulda been careful for what i wished for, jeeperz,i seem to get nothing done and spend my day chasing after him,so when he naps, ive to run around the house getting my chores done,or Derek would come home to a tip most evenings...

Casy..hope the house is nearing completion for you,and both your children are well..

To everyone else ive missed, take care of you...xxxx

Loads a love,Nicola..xxxx

kim- i hear you on the head thing... there were some totally cute crowns and baseball caps, but Gavin's head is in the 90%...so this is what fit.. it's cute i like it.. i got it at factory card outlet... i do not know if you have them near you, but there is a web site http://www.factorycard.com/cat_Birthday ... _1281.html

i also found a cute bib and t-shirt at carters... most places i've only seen the 1st b-day stuff in 12 months sizes... i found the 24month there.. his party is the 25th... we are hoping for good weather... i started to figure out where we are getting the food from... there are a few good places around here that cater..

nicola- sounds like the party is going to be good... i love the bouncy houses for the kids.. look for a student painter/artest for the face painting... there is a neighbor of our that is in art school and does that part time for cheep... that is nice of your friend for making all the invites and thank yous.. jack is crawling now, how fun... it's anazing how much more they can get into.. and keeping up with the chores.. not so much for me... some days it's complete mess when dh comes home...

tasha-love the photos... her hair is great!! love it... hope that your planning is going well.

hope you all have a great day!!

Hi Everyone,

I'm sorry that I have not checked in for a while. I think about you all often and I will catch up on all your posts this week. I hope you and your little ones (will maybe not so little anymore) are doing great and gearing up for 1st birthday parties.

Lily is doing wonderful. I call her my little wreckazoid because you can not leave her alone for a second without her wrecking something. She is not walking yet (only crawling on her belly) but can get from one side of the room to the other and into trouble before I can blink. I'll post a few pictures on Photobucket later today.

Once I catch up with your posts I will post some personals ASAP.

All my best to everyone!

xoxo

Hi all.
I have been without a computor for a while and had to try and remember the address for this site anyway i have lots of reading to catch up on but hope all is well with everyone. it is so hard to believe that 1 year has come around so quickly, i am sure we all feel the same especially when we see our little ones growing so quickly.
Isabella is doing really well, she has 5 teeth and is so happy and loud. She is still not crawling but manages to get about ok going backwards and rolling, who knows maybe she will just go straight to walking she likes pulling herself up. We have been going to a childrens hospital because her feet stick out when she is relaxing it looks really strange. Her bones and muscles are fine so they are going to test to see if her nerves are working to hard. it dosnt bother her so i am sure she is fine.
I have been cotacted by a famlily friend who is thinking of getting IVF, hopefully i will be able to help and suport her but i am also going to pass on this website because it is so good to talk to others who are going through the same thing. I always thought that as soon as i had 1 child i wouldnt want to go through IVF again, however i would love for Isabella to have another sibling but we really cant afford IVF again, i am going to be 37 this year and feel time is running out, who knows maybe a miracle will happen.
Looking forward to reading all about everyones nearly 1 year olds. We will be having a party but not sure what themes yet. My mum makes and decorates cakes so i know that will be very special.
take care all
love Ellie xx

Hi gals! Nance and Ellie--I'm glad you could 'pop' in!

Ellie--It sounds like Isabella is doing well! 5 teeth! wow! Sorry to hear about her feet turning out. Did you notice it or did her doc? I'm sure it will turn out fine. I hear ya on the IVF issue. Sometimes I'd like to think of having ONE more baby--yes just one! But, I know we can't afford IVF again, and I feel pretty lucky with my two. So, it would have to be a miracle for us too. Good luck!

Nance--I miss hearing from you lady! Lily's pic on the bucket is so cute! I can't imagine her wrecking anything!  They're so sneaky at this age, aren't they? ha ha! Please keep in touch with us.

Colleen--I do have a factory card outlet near me! I went this weekend...found the hat for him...it's TOO SMALL!!! I think I have freaky headed kids! (Plus, they didn't have a girl version for Ellie, and they HAVE to coordinate--mommy's too anal!) I did find some little party hats for each of them that will have to do. I can't believe your party is this weekend! HOW THE HECK???? :D :D I hope the party's a blast. You'll have to post pics when you can.

Nicola--I hear ya on the crawling thing--they get into so much, and just when you turn around to pick up a piece of dust, they've destroyed something or have banged a head, etc. Good luck with your football party!

We have a walker over here! Ellie started taking some random steps last week. She got me all excited--but then she wouldn't do it again! Every time I'd try to get her to walk, she's start giggling and crawl away from me! Stinker....but today, she took seven or eight steps at a time. It was just too cute! Still haven't caught it on tape, but I'm hoping to soon. Braeden is a teething fool right now--he's got nearly every top tooth coming in at the same time--poor guy--he's pretty miserable. I've been calling him Wendy Whiner!  Mean mommy, huh? We're getting much better at eating finger foods--and feeding the dog! Murphy now finally sees the purpose of these new additions to our family--his own personal caterers!

Have a good week gals!

Gavin's and his Bdays are 2 days apart.. after this year, we are going to do them together... i can not find a cake i like, the bakery that we used to go to closed, and not many other choices..

kim- sorry to hear about the hats.. what % are their heads? i know gavin is what up there in %, maybe it's shaped different.. but glad that you found something.. i know we are in the last few days before the party, and DH and my 4YO DS are SICK... DS was up alot, and when he was sleeping Gavin was up... make for a crabby mama... we went shopping today, and also went looking for ideas of what people can get Gavin.. with 2 older boys, we have MOST everything... and many do not like the giftcard or savings bond ideas..... i've tried to teach Gavin to blow candles, but it's not going to happen... oh well.. did i tell you the zoo pictures are reallt cute, the panda bear is cute too... it looks like they are getting more hair... cute

Nance- good to hear that you and Lily are doing well..lily is a cutie... love that you can not leave even blink before they are into something that they are not suposedto be.. i know that they know that they should not be into it, and it make it more fun for them...

ellie-good to hear too that you and isabella are doing well... we have a LOUD one too... honsetly he hurts my ears... i think that i'll have hearing loss if he doesn't quite down SOON... sorry to hear about her feet, hopfully it will be nothing ... lucky that your mom makes and decorates cakes (can she mail me one.. hahahaha) i'm having a hard time finding a cake, as our bakery went under... only a few days till the party, and no cake ordered HELP... hopfully those of you who want a miracle to happen one will (remember that Gavin is a miracle that came between cycles.. we had a 2% chance and it happened) miracles do happen.. wish you luck.

hope that everyone else is doing well, and having fun planning the 1st bday parties...

Hello Girls.... sorry once again for missing in action! Between planning Aubrey's 1st B-Day and planning vacation my head has just been spinning.

Well today my little angel turns 1.... how exciting, but sad at the same time. I can't believe she is 1 already - It cried like a little baby this weekend at her party. So this past weekend was crazy... we took her for her pictures on Friday - Celebrity Kids - they are unbelievable - thanks for the advice on them Colleen. Saturday was the party - amazing... now to find room for all her toys - someone please help me! Then on Sunday & Monday we had BBQ's to attend... lots going on that's for sure. Then we leave this Friday for vacation... I can't wait.

So how was everyone else's holiday weekend?

Colleen - here's wishing Gavin a very special B-Day tomorrow. Just think 1 year ago we were in the hospital giving birth to these little angels.... boy how time has flown bye.

Well back to the grind... thank god for a short week this week.

Miss Ya All Very Much,
Tasha

Just wanted to say hello and Happy Birthday to Aubrey and Gavin. Can't believe they are 1!

Tasha- Glad the party went well and enjoy the vacation, try and relax.

We are well. Had Joshua weighed today and he is 21lbs so can go in the bigger care seat now. He has just started commando crawling, dragging himself along the floor. Not great in our house as the floors are flilthy from the building work and we still just have a concrete floor in the kitchen! We'll get there one day, should have my new cooker by end of the weekend.

I have also just phoned today about applying to a nursing agency as I have been off work for a year now and really need to do some hours to keep my nursing registration. Also going to look at a nursery for Joshua next week, not keen but as its attached to the hospital it accomdates shift work. DD already settled at her playgroup so DH and my mum are going to help out with taking and collecting her. Sure it will work out but a bit nervous about it all.

Take care all. Sorry abou lack of personals but need to go and varnish some doors!
