Stress Wow, great jump!!! Glad hubby is being patient, although I'm sure you're ready to have sex too. To answer your question, yes I did meet Karen that day and she actually had her ER today :) Glad you got released to the regular doc too...that has to be a lot of stress off of you!

Becca That's funny about the sex overload...LOL Why the rescheduling for the OB? June 2nd will be here before you know it....that's actually the estimated date of my ER :) And yes....I was not happy to see AF again!!! Manipulating my cycles was not fun....it was 20 days between cycles because of the BCP...LOL Oh well, we do what we have to.

Well, my second stim U/S went okay I guess. I had a 10, 9 and four 6's on one side and on the other side I had a 10 and a few 7's or smaller. Looks like I have some ones that are trying to take the lead...not good. But then again she said it was still early and the others would probably catch up. I pray they do! My lining looked good though, it was around 7.8?

Now off to take a nap....LOL I do not like getting up early and driving all day...but I did treat myself on the way home to a Schlotzsky's sandwich....anyone else like that place? There is one on the way to RE's as well as a Dunkin Doughnuts...both we do not have near home, so it's a good treat LOL, just not every trip.

Ugghhh, I just felt like I started to drift off to sleep when the phone rang and I got it half asleep LOL The nurse said that the doctor said my E2 levels were over 100...so starting to take off? Maybe I was asleep....I thought just over 100 was bad...too low? Anyhow, she said that the doctor upped my GonalF from 225 to 300.....again, thanks! That cuts down on how long they'll last! Oh well, she left the Menopur alone as well as the Lupron so that's nice. I have enough GonalF for 7, maybe 8 more shots....so praying I'll be at ER by then and won't have to order more. I am scouting out prices though....just in case.

Well, off to check the mail and then maybe I'll lay back down LOL

IndieBlue - your follies look good so far, keep em' growing :) I had one take the lead last time, but the others caught up in the end..thank goodness. I love Schlotzsky's sandwiches and their hot sauce, hmm..making my mouth water as I type this :)

stressball - Excellent news on your latest beta and good luck on Thursday!

beccatx - I hope I'm lucky enough to get a BFP this time, but if I do I know I'll be so frightened to have sex. DH almost slit his wrists during the last 2ww, but it'll be worth the wait in the end :)

Day 2 of Lupron and I don't remember this from last time, but it has definitely made me very cranky today! Well I think it's from the meds, but who the heck knows. It couldn't possibly be that I didn't really want to be at work today :) I remember getting bad headaches last time, but this time it just seems to make me edgy..oh well, just a few more weeks and I'll be on the 2ww!! Hope everyone is having a great Tuesday.

IndieBlue - RE is going to start me off on 300 this time, instead of his original plan of 225. The more meds should help your little one’s catch up to the large follicles, which I don’t totally understand, but it seems to work. I believe you said you knew there was more meds in the pen, but just in case you didn’t know, you can use a syringe and get more than the noted 450 or 900..helps on the overall cost. Also, are you getting your meds from Freedom? They have a deal with the study and I think the 900 pen is something like $567, which is a little less than their normal cash discount. Good luck with the upped dosage and here’s to your ET in the next few days!! :)

Angram Yes, I get the vials of 450iu. She said they don't order the other sizes because you get more in the 450 due to overfill. I get 675 out of the 450iu vials....so that's quite a bit of overfill. Plus it doesn't have to be in the fridge until you mix it....the pens have to be shipped cold. I think I paid around 350.00 for each vial....they have a normal price of 358.50 I think? So a slight discount. If I end up needing more I'm sure it'll be maybe 1 vial....praying no more than that. I really hope that I won't need anymore though....Friday after 3 days of 300iu maybe they'll catch up and I can trigger in time for 6/2 ER :)

Let me just say an 8.00 discount on 358 is total crap...when I ordered my meds and the total was about $3200.00, I said OH MY GOSH and the lady goes "oh, hold on... you get the study discount, hold on while I figure that..." I was thinking, whew, it'll probably go down several hundred dollars....she comes back and says" Ok, it's actually $3119.00. I seriously said" Wow, a whopping 90.00 savings.....what is that, like 3%???" I was so surprised...I was quoted at the doctor's office that my meds would cost 2000-2500....

:) End of whining :)

Becca I could not agree more. She quoted 2000-2500 for my meds, total cost! Then when I got the call from Freedom it was 2560 or somewhere around there. I gave her my insurance as it covers the antibiotics and should have covered the Medrol. When she ran the card for the total it was maybe 50.00 less? Surely that wasn't all my insurance covered. Then they wanted me to order 12 more vials of Menopur and pay 150.00 for my own Sharps disposal....I don't think so LOL

I saved 2500 for the meds, 3500 for the study and then all these 'surprise' charges were just not something I could come up with. I am sooooo thankful that I had divine intervention for the Menopur and I PRAY that I won't have any more GonalF ordered....every night when I give myself that shot I think to myself, this shot cost 115.....WOW!

Oh and I'd budgetted 50.00 for each trip, it takes about 1/2 a tank for me and that was 50.00 back in March. Now it's 75.00!!!! So that's an extra 25.00 each trip :( Spending money is never fun when it's medical....just praying I'll get a BFP and this will all be worthwhile.

beccatx - You're cracking me up with your pharmacy story, I had a similar situation. When I called and placed the order she gave me the price without the study discount. Then I said I'm in the study and she said oh, let me get your new price and I said, does that mean you're going to jack up the price or something :) I feel a bit fortunate that my RE office didn't give me any quotes on med prices, but it is all a bit much and seems like the drug companies increase the price because it's something that we don't have to have but really want.

IndieBlue - That totally sucks that you have to spend so much on gas to get there and back. We both drive gas hogs, but I'm luckily only about 25 minutes or so from my office to the RE. You'll get your BFP and it will be well worth it!

Hey Ladies! I will have to read & catch on all of you.

ER was today, we got 19 eggs. I should know tomorrow how many were mature etc. I go back in the morning for randomization for either the gel or the ring. I am feeling pretty sore and have been asleep for most of the afternoon. I was so glad to get the eggies out and know they were able to get them. DH had a hard time, but he DTD. I just pray they fertilize. We are doing ICIS, so hopefully.
WHat is everyone's opinion on the gel or ring? Has the ring been comfortable from what any of you have heard?

Hi Karen266...
I have the ring and after the initial discomfort/inconvenience of getting it it, I totally forget it's there. I haven't had one problem with it- except forgetting to put it back in after the first sonogram...left it out for nearly 3 hours like a total dumb---...I mean how could I forget, right!!!!!???? Anyway, I wrote it in the journal, was slapped on the wrist (actually told they may kick me out of the study???) and didn't have any problems as a result. Good luck with your retrieval report! We did icsi due to severe male factor-I only had 4 fertilize, but did get a bfp!

I just have one last study visit, so I figure I made it through- it's not until June 26th, but I am released to an ob/byn and that's on June 2. I hope they do a sonogram...it's addictive.

Angram- the Lupron was bad like that for me too- headaches and bad mood...it will pass though- and you'll reduce the amount in a few days when you begin stims. And you're right on the Rx- we are desperate ladies and we'll pay and they know it!

Indie...I'll wait on the ob/gyn so we have appts on the same day :) Every penny will be forgotten when you get a bfp- good thing you saved money on the hpt!

Stress--- thinking of you and babystress!

Have a great day!

Karen Again....YAY on so many eggs and I can't wait to hear about today's appt. Maybe we'll run in to each other on Friday :)

Becca I can't wait to hear about your first OB appt....Monday will be here before you know it. My SIL is a sonographer so I hope I don't get so addicted to the sonograms that I'm going to her once a week to give me one LOL I will definitely wait until they can use the external wand though....don't want to get kinky and let SIL probe me LOL

Angram That's nice that your doctor didn't give you a quote....I mean sometimes less information is more in something like this. That way you're not dwelling on the differences...etc. My trip does suck, but I take oldest ds with me and it's nice....maybe I'll take oldest dd with me next time. We find funny radio stations on the way there and yesterday we found one that does prank calls every hour....too FUNNY. He called a HipHop shop and was asking the guy there about things his son has been saying/doing since buying the HipHop clothing from that store. Asking about why he was calling his friends Dogs and why he was always saying "holler" when he shot a basketball.....LOL The guy kept saying it's "holla" and the radio guy would say "holler"? We were laughing, it made the drive go by a lot faster. Oh and he asked the guy what Beeyotch meant LOL He even spelled it and then said it really wrong and the HipHop guy kept correcting him....but making sure he knew it didn't come from his shop, he just sold clothing.

Hi all,

Indie: Sorry your gonal dose went up. It happened with me too. My e2 was not high enough. Also RE counted 5 eggs all along but eventually I got 10....The cost sucks...we ended up buying 900iu extra and then donated 600iu from it to the RE office. But beleive me after the BFP you dont even think about it.

Karen...wow..that number looks super good...let us know how the ferti. went....

Becca: I cannot wait for the sono too....I dont know if I will make it there or not...anyway......I like the name babystress....hehehe...

Angram: I also had differnt symptoms with Lupron this time...hang in there...

Hello all... Just wanted to update everyone on my Beta # from today. I am 24 dpo, one week from my last Beta of 274, and it came back at 4666. I was very excited to get a big, fat number. Of course, now I am anxious that there might be more than one baby. Just wanted to share with you all. Thank you for your continued support, and I hope all of you are doing well.

hello everyone, sorry to crash your party.
I have a question...i posted it , but no one answered. anyway, i've been reading the posts about becca and stress. I am in the same position although i have no idea if i'm preggo or not, i'm praying i am. anyway, i'm 8dpt5dt. this is my second ivf. the first a bfn of course. anyway, my only problem is tubal. dh is fine. we are a young couple. Well, beginning at 4dp5dt i began to have backaches and very light cramping. then 5dp5dt i began to spot. it was pink and then turned brown it has been that way ever since. but it'll ease up and stop. today it is very very light. i didn't have this on my first ivf. i have been preggo 4 times although they were ectopic pregnancies. can I get any help or feed back. i thought on 5dp5dt we were playing the WII (bowling) and i was jumping around like an idiot when i'll hit a strike. lOL so i thought they could be the cause of it. but let me know what you girls think. i want to test but will not until my beta friday.
