Kimberli--Good luck making it to the 13th--our first b-day is on the 14th! You're almost exactly a year later!

Kholtan--maybe it's a boy thing? My braeden is soooo skinny. I feel the same way as you--I fee like I need to shove extra food into him. Thing is--he eats just as much as Ellie. He's just lean. Sorry to hear that you're gaining weight...it's about time!  Just teasin'--good luck getting back down. I'm sure you'll figure out a way to lose without exercise. I've lost all my weight finally, plus a few extra pounds. I want to lose about 3 more. My pants all fit, for the most part. My hips are just different. Not much I can do about that, though.

gotta run. Off to work soon....I only have one week left! Thank GOD for summer vacation!

Well girls I feel stupid. I was having HORRIBLE pain in my right side yesterday so called up the doctor. Well, the nurse said I was probably just constipated which I know is not true cause there is no problem in that factory. So I talked to an OB nurse that I go to church with and she confirmed it is just round ligament pain?!?! Who knew that junk could hurt so much! I suppose the babies need more room!

Hi All,
Buckeyegal- Thanks for the encouragement. I hope I make it too. I'm just tired of being pregnant now and am ready to get these babies outta me lol. Glad to hear things are going well with you and summer vacation is coming!

Sugabeansz- Don't ever feel stupid about aches and pains in your body. That is what the drs/nurses are there for. It's always best to call if you have concerns. I remember around 18 wks I was having lower abdominal pains and I knew it wasn't constipations as well. It turned out to be gas pains and they reccommended to me GASX. What a relief those pills were! I highly reccommend them to anyone having gas issues. Basically it's better to be safe than sorry.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Hello ladies - Hope you'll are doing well.

Oh quick question for you'll though - when did you guys start gaining and showing? or your belly getting big??

I am 5'2 -very petite..I was before I got pregnant 94lbs LOL so I am kinda trying to figure out how soon will I be showing? or when my belly will be sticking out?

It already is sticking out just a little bit but not like a whole lot.

I know some of you girls have already went thru the twins pregnancy and some are quiet ahead of me - so any advise you guys can give me would be great!

And did you'll had C-Section to deliver the twins? or is Vaginal delivery possible?

I wanna do Vaginal delivery but I am not sure how it works with multiples.

Hi Sameera,
I started showing after 3 months. My belly really didnt' get huge till my third trimester. I mean I was noticeable that I was pregnant but not huge till the 3rd. I'm having a c-section. I was told most drs won't allow a vaginal birth b/c of complications. Most multiples births are usually never in the right position to go vaginally which creates complications.
Hope this helps.

Hey Sameera~ We are the same height although I weighed about 110 when I got pg. I'm not a great reference since my babies were delivered at 34 weeks but honestly I never got huge. I felt big but in relation to most people I really did look very small. My total weight gain was 28 lbs. and I ate over 3500 calories a day. My body was just a "Very efficient incubator" as my OB put it. No stretch marks or anything and I was worried about that since I had no extra skin around my waist at all. Had the baby been carried on my butt I wouldn't have worriedl!

Honestly, I just ate well, drank lots of water, moved a lot, and rubbed body butter on my tummy everyday. I never bought a single maternity shirt and could wear most of my normal clothes until about 4.5 months. Everyone is so different but I think it may be easier for petite people to bounce back. Having said that I still solely nurse both babies and have been gaining weight lately!  They were born emergency c-section because of a placenta abruption but were good sized and healthy.

Good luck and just stay healthy and active. Keep us posted.

Kim~ Boating this weekend? Not yet again for us but I can't wait to get them out there. Congrats on returning to your pre-baby size and then some!!! WHOOHOOOO!!!!! When I saw you in the pic. w/ Ellie I could relaly tell from the last pic I saw of you. You look great! Feels good too huh? I have been taking 1.5-2 hour walks w/ the babies everyday in an effort to slim back down. It's only a few lbs I recently gained but nothing fits right now!   Things were WAY too easy for me and now I am paying the price. I guess my 2500 calorie a day diet may have to be cut back. BUMMER!

Better run. Things to do and the babies are sleeping. What good little nappers I have. At 9 months they still take 3 naps a day. I would like one 3-4 hour nap but I will just count my blessing with 3 naps that last 1-2 hours each.

Have a great weekend!

SAmeera--I'm 5'4", and I think I started to look preggo pretty early--but that's because I was putting on some extra weight from the IVF drugs. I also had to do a special diet once I was preggo (only for a couple weeks) to get my ovaries to start getting smaller (I guess some twin pregnancies, there's a tendency for ovaries to get too big? Or twist?) Anyway, eating lots of eggs and drinking gatorade helped me pack on weight FAST!!! I think my belly was popping out around 10 weeks. Just a tad, but it was enough that I couldn't "hide" the truth. I also REALLY wanted a vag. delivery, and my doc was willing (although hesitant) until my son turned breech. Then it was an absolute c-section. I ended up developing pre-eclampsia, which is why I delivered when I did (just a day shy of 37 weeks). With my BP up, a c-section was absolutely necessary. I have a good friend who did deliver twins vaginally. It's totally possible, but it really depends on your situation. My guess is, that since you're so small, your doc may insist on a c-sec. But, it's worth trying for the other way, if you can. Just my opinion. Good luck!

As for weight gain--I, just like J-LO, gained about 45-50. Yes, you saw that right. that's a lot of weight for a short girl. But, I exercised through my whole pregnancy and was pretty good about what I ate. Like Kholtan, no stretch marks for me either. BUT, I think that's a genetic thing. My mom doesn't have them either. I did rub lotion on my belly sometimes, but not enough for it to really matter.

Holtan--good thing I like you, or I might have to hate you!  You didn't have to wear maternity tops? OMG--I'm so glad I know that now that I'm normal size again! I might have had to jump off a bridge! Just teasin'....you're blessed with good genes, girl! No boating for us this weekend. We won't be back to the lake until after the big bday in two weeks. TWO WEEKS!!!!! HOlY COW----I'm starting to freak!

Kim~ A whole year old!!!!! HOLY COW!!! Whe strangers ask how old the babies are and I tell them nine months as of yesterday I just feel like I am not catching everything. How did that happen? 1 year is such a milestone and they seem so big with their crawling, Ellie walking, and hair! Are those bows on Ellie clips? Annelise is still in bows stuck on by Karo Syrup. Hope it comes in soon. Bodie's hair is coming in very blonde now and it curls when wet!!!! LOVE it!!!

I think another thing that kept me in smaller clothes was I hated things that were baggy. I wore elastic band pants, stretchy shirts, and everything was form fitting. I bought a dress but felt like I was as wide as I was tall in it. Also, my job is physical so as much as I hate to work out, I get it anyway with work. DH just proclaimed his pants are way to tight as well. Hehehehehe!!!!!! At least I'm not the only one in our house. It's better to get fat with a partner for sure!!!!!

I think the babies and I are coming down with a cold. All three of us have a runny nose so the Vics is out and the Vapor thing is running strong. Hope we can avoid it at all costs.

Does one of your twins ever make the other one hysterical when he/she cries? When Bodie cries, Annelise gets so upset. She literally starts freaking out and then they both cry harder and harder until I pick them both up. It's not everyday but it's at least 3-5 times a wekk mine do this. Drives me nuts. Tonight they started doing it while at dinner and I lost my cool and put him in his crib until he calmed down. I totally yelled at him and now I feel soooooo bad. I have never yelled at my babies! Key word here. . . .baby!!!! :( Just thought I would ask. Seems my babies are also VERY clingy since we never ever leave them. I secretly love it but I know it's not great for them and I should leave them from time to time. Anyone else have very attatched babies?

How is Diane? Lauralou?

Have a great night!

Kholtan---don't feel too bad....we all lose our cool from time to time. I know I feel bad whenever I lose my patience with the kids. Usually, I lose my patience with DH and not the kids, so he's the one who takes the heat!

As for the crying, that happens here from time to time. Usually, it's when they're tired. Like the other day, our dog barked at someone at the door. (He doesn't usually bark...) Well, that set Ellie off and she set Braeden off. Ugh. Other times when one baby cries, sometimes the other one LAUGHS! It seems so mean, doesn't it! I will say this--around 9 months or so, they started crying more often than usual. That's supposed to be a big separation anxiety time period, I hear. Yours will probably sense it more than mine, because they're so used to having you around so much. This might be a tough time to "get away", you know? Good luck! I hope it gets better soon!

I'm going to try and post a video to the bucket of Ellie crawling! Might get it on tonight, if I'm tech savvy enough!

Hello all! I just wanted to say hello and join the group as a fellow twin mom to be. I am currently almost 13 weeks. Wednesday morning, I started spotting red and then it turned brown. I went to the doctor and they did an US and everything looked great. I even went the next day to the high risk doc for my 1st trimester and got to see them for almost 1.5 hours because Baby A, who the doc has predicted to be a girl, was not being still. It was soo cute. Anyways yesterday, the red spotting started again and then it was brown after two hours. I called the nurse and she said as long as I was not cramping or soaking a pad it was ok. The doc saw no reason for the bleed except possibly that Baby A placenta may be hanging too low. The other possibility was that all the blood flow to the placentas and the cervix may be causing it. I have been a little more relaxed today, but I was just wondering if anyone else here has had the same or similar issue.

stephjim--Congratulations! I had a VERY similar situation happen to me. RIght around 13 weeks too! My doc said that my placenta had separated every so slightly from my wall, so there was some bleeding. It stopped after a week or so. With me, it just so happened that it occurred right around the time I stopped projestrone supplements. I'm not sure if that was a contributing factor or not. Good luck to you!

I stopped my progesterone 2 weeks ago so it has been a while. I understand the blood flow explanation and I will accept that for now. I am just scared.

Most people that I talk to do US for the first appt. Mine did. Hope you have fun seeing them. It is the coolest thing in the world. Especially when they hit 12 weeks and they look like babies for real. :)
