Hope you don't mind, but I'm crashing your thread to give some support to Neffi. I'm praying for fertilization for you. My RE also opted for no ICSI on my last cycle--we had just as many fertilize as we did the first time, only this time I got a BFP as you know. My DH has somewhat low count and low motility, so I was nervous as well, but placed my trust in the RE's decision. Praying for you.

jharris-I'm sorry abt hour BFN, but glad you have a consult to discuss your next cycle. My first IVF cycle also resulted in a BFN, but I jumped right into another one and finally got my BFP. Good luck, thinking abt you.

Everyone just says oh stay positive. I am really trying but I just have such a bad feeling. I know some people have cramps and are preg. but I just dont know if I am one of them. Sorry to be such a sap

I have to ask an off question for those in the 2ww and taking PIO shot daily. Are any of you experiencing any extra discharge? I don't have my b/w test until 6/6 to see how our first cycle went, however am wondering if the extra discharge (clear) is common. My sleep has been so great on PIO shot, unfortunately my bladder seems to have shrunk and my BB's have been super sore :(

Hang in there everyone!

Well, I'm back :) My lining was 16 and my follicles had grown quite a bit. On the Right I had:
21, 15, 13, 9, 6, 6
Left: 20 (probably cyst), 16.5, 16, 16, 15, 15, 14, 13.7

She said I may trigger tonight....or she may let me go one more day. Do they mature/grow more after the trigger shot? I guess one more day would probably be okay....that way those 15's and 16's would be closer to 18. Can 16's be mature? Oh well...we'll see at 2pm :) when the blood work comes back.

Prawnster Thanks so much for that reminder of how tenacity pays off. Reading all the posts on the board about what some women have had to go through really strengthens my resolve & I believe! Good luck with everything, and I hope you have a little one to join Gabriel.

Indie Those look great. Yes..they grow & go through their final maturation with the trigger. I think one more day would be perfect, and I've heard that 15 can be mature. You'll lose the big one, but you have more smaller ones that could catch up.

Dakota Thanks for the support & grow follies!!!! Those headaches sound awful...what a nighmare.

ftg I didn't notice much extra, but that progesterone has a slew of side effects so it's probably normal.

susivf1 Hang in there girl! You're pupo :) Don't try to read too much into all the symptoms. Some people have lots, some don't have any & they both end up pregnant. Just try to relax & visualize that little embryo growing in you in a calm atmosphere.

Neffi Good luck today...I'm praying!!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for everyone! The waiting is the hardest time of this entire process!
Only 2 more days until I have my blood test. Extremely nervous! I have all of the signs that AF is coming! Plus I've taken a "few" HPT and they are all negative. Has anyone else taken HPT's with a negative results and still turn out HFP???? I'm trying to hold out for that little glimmer of hope!

Well, I'm back from u/s & b/w. I wont get the E2 results in until around 2pm (same time as Indie :D ). So I ahve some questions for the nurse for when she calls and I was hoping that maybe somewhere here can help.

When I went in last wed for suppression check I had a total of 24 antral follicles (14 on right, 10 on left). Today was my first u/s, day 6 and I only had 6 measureable follicles. 3 on the right and 3 on the left. So what does "measureable" mean. The smallest one she wrote down was 10mm, so I wondering if my cliinic doesnt measure anything less than 10? I just cant imagine that out of 24 antral that only 6 are growing? My next question is are they a little too big for day 6? 17,14,13,11(2) & 10. If the rule is correct, 2mm per day, that one that is 17 will be way too big, or will it start to stall? I dont like not having any control!! I think that has been one of my biggest problems with IF, no control and no knowledge.

IRISH- WOW girl...28/17 is awesome!!! Take care of yourself. Let us know how those embies are cookin'

INDIE- yes, even after the trigger, they will still grow the next day. You have some impressive follies, I'm pretty envious :P

Oh ya, my lining was 8, she said right on schedule.

Dakota - you are too funny with the "control" and unfortunately this is so out of our control it makes it difficult for control freaks (I being one of them)...I can't answer all your ques but i don't think yours are too big for day 6 of stims...everyone responds differently and the doc will watch your growth and E2 levels and determine when it's "go time"...the 17 one may get too big and be "lost" sometimes there is one that grows faster and they let it go and allow the others to catch up...it's really a waiting game...

Stay strong and ask as many ques as you need!

Clinic called - scheduled for 11:15am transfer tomorrow...need to convince the doc on call to allow 3 this try...any ideas how to convince??

Thanks Indie!!

GL tomorrow. How exciting!! So, do you mean, to talk the on call RE into transfering 3? I cant help you there, I guess by just asking? I knwo taht alot of clinics are very leary about anything over 2, but my RE did say he'll do what ever we wanted, but he is even leary about doing 2.

GL, cant wait to here how things go tomorrow and your embies report!

Good morning Ladies

I hope everyone had a very relaxing weekend.

Looks like we have lots of nice follies growing. I know that they will be perfect for everyone on the day of retreival.

I am so sorry to hear about the BFN Jharris. I know how upsetting it can be when paying out of pocket. We also have to pay for everything and feel like this is our only chance. I am trying to plant the idea of an other try in DH's head but he just doesn't even want to think about (.

BIG GRATS to the BFP's the last week that is fabulous. Hopefully we will see many more in the next couple weeks.

Still not much going on with me. AF finally sorta arrived today so hopefully today will be Day 1 and I will start stimming on wed.

I just want to thank everyone here again. I know I am not a big poster I am just not so good with words. I am however a big stalker on the forums and everyone here is so positive it has truly helped me to make it through this process. I know that without this forum to read I would literally be going crazy and prolly drive my DH away. So thank you all for you PMA's.

Have the best day ever!!

Hi again ladies,

I do have a question since there has been alot of talk about how many to transfer. My RE said that he will be trasferring 6 day 3embies or 2-3 day 5 embies(although he doesn nto believe I will have what I need to get to day 5.) After hearing how many everyone is having transferred the idea of 6 is terrifying me. Has anyone had that many transferred on day 3?
I am scared to decrease down from 6 if 6 is what I need to get a BFP.

Back to work )

Good afternoon ladies. Well I have afollow up consult with my RE for next Tuesday to discuss "what went wrong and where to go from here." So I guess I Will know more next week.

Prawnster: Thank you for your message. Just knowing what so many others have been through makes it easier to get through. Best of luck to you on this cycle!

susivf: All of us here now how hard this rollercoaster is to ride. I got a BFN and I didn't have any signs of AF. There really are no ways to analyze symptoms during the 2ww. Best of luck!

IrishHope: Congrats on the wonderful fert report! Sounds like you could have some fabulous frosties after this, too! Just tell your RE that they are your embies, and it's your body and you are paying for it, so they have to do what you want them to do! Just tell them that you feel it is best. Good luck and baby dust to you!

ftg: Progesterone has a laundry list of side effects! I had more discharge, too, which was actually blue due to the estrace I was using. And the frequent urination and tender BB's are also wonderful side effects of it, too! Good luck!

Indie: Sounds like some good follies in there! And they are all pretty close in size, that's great!

hopeful: Try to stay distracted for the next 2 days, they are the hardest of the whole 2ww! Baby dust to you!

Dakota: Control is not even an option in IVF! That is the one thing I learned from my 1st cycle. Sounds like you should have plenty to work with though!

Hope the rest of you wonderful ladies are still doing great! Baby dust to you all! :D

Good luck tomorrow Irish. You have a tremendous amount of eggs!!!! I don't know how to convince them to put in 3, but I'm sure the discussion will be centered around the quality. If the quality isn't the best I'd imagine they'll do 3 for you, you might have a tough argument if the quality is very high. We'll be thinking of you!
