My clinic is 6 months out because it is through Kaiser and they are a very small fertility clinic. Yes, I am very bitchy, bloated, crampy and my boobs are sore. I am about 7 days past IUI but I really don't think anything as far as pregnancy is happening. I know it is early for me too but I feel like AF cramps are setting in too. Maybe AF is coming way early. I hope so, so can start my new cycle. Not Hopeless, are you taking a break from IUI for the summer or are you just going for it? I really don't want to take a break because then in the back of my head I will be thinking "would this month have been the month that my dreams would have come true". I am still going to try to enjoy the summer. July 4th weekend I am going to Pismo Beach camping to see the fireworks, then 2 weeks after that we are going to Disneyland for 4 days, then in August Hawaii. What are your plans for the summer.

Kery, how is the weather in Australia? What are your plans for the summer?

Wow Rainbow-
You sound busy and fun. The only major trip we have planned is 2 weeks in August we'll be in San Fran for a few days, drive to Yosemite, drive to Vegas for a few days, then fly to Chicago because some of my family members live out there. Other than that we have weekend trips planned to Cape Cod & canoeing/camping on the Connecticut River.
I know what you mean about wondering "what if this month...", I've totally been there. But after 4 years I don't mind a short break for my mental health. Since we'll be having houseguests for a month i don't want to worry about entertaining them and doing shots and not drinking and having to explain my doctor appts every other day! Last summer I took a month or two off as well which was much needed. And I was totally revved up to start trying again after the break. As for this summer, we'll take a break til after our Aug. trip, then we're required to do one more shots/IUI cycle. Then we'll go for IVF!!!

Hi girls, how was everyones weekend? Hope all is well. Not Hopeless, how are you feeling today, any signs? Kery any news on the little bean? As for me I did lots of yard work and did not even thing about the TWW. I think it was because I have a very strong feeling that nothing is happening in that department. Hey girls, I am looking into IVF in Mexico. The website says it costs only $4,000.00 over there including meds. Have either of you heard about it?

well girls, AF arrived early and heavy on Sat... on one hand I'm totally bummed, on the other hand I know I can take a break now and enjoy the summer. My houseguests arrive this Friday for a month!!! And then a 2 week getaway to CA, Vegas, and Chicago in August.
Still keeping my fingers crossed for you, Rainbow. But def look into IVF in Mexico. But get a ton of information about the hospital, doctors, procedures. Etc. Your health and safety is #1!
Even though i'm taking a mental health break from the IF rollercoaster, I'll still be on here. And I'll keep you posted when we start up again. I know we have one more month of injectibles with IUI then we have to meet with the doctor to discuss IVF.
Talk to you soon.

Not hopeless, that just sucks   You will get there in the end girl!! For some of us it just takes a while!! You have a awesome summer to look forward to!!

Rainbow, its worth a look into. Would you have somewhere to stay during that time? If not maybe have a look into the cost if you don't. No news on me the morning sickness is not lasting as long during the day so that is good. Keeping everything crossed for you for Thursday!!!!

Well ladies it is 13 dpo today and I feel nothing. Not even AF cramping or sore boobs like I usually get before AF. Not sure what to think because I have been under the weather a bit these past few days. Well I went for my first Acupunture treatment on Monday and he started me on herbs. I take it in the morning and evening. Well we shall se over time what it does for me. It is supposed to nourish my eggs for better quality and send more blood and nourishment to my uterus as well. Well tomorrow is the day I test. I will go in first thing in the a.m. to test then get the results by the end of the day. The wait can kill you. Well I don't have to tell you girls that, you already know. My delema is that it takes 3 to 6 months for you to be completely in balance so should I wait for at least 3 months to do another IUI or should I just keep doing them?

well, first things first, no news is good news- right? if you're not having AF cramping that's great. And tomorrow is test day. I've got my fingers crossed. As for the acupunture vs. IUIs, since you're paying out of pocket for a lot of procedures- it's really up to you. What you feel comfortable doing. Keep us posted on your decisions and definitely how testing goes tomorrow.

Hi girls
Yea as not hopeless said it's really up to you how long you wait between cycles. At my clinic we have to have a month break between iui's. My last cycle I took a four month break and I think it really did my body some good. After two ivf's and a iui I think my body was in medication overload and I just need a break from whole thing. Anyway you may not even need to think about that if you get a BFP!!! What kind of unwellness do you feel? Just before I tested my morning sickness kicked in although I tested 17dpo. I have everything crossed for you!!!!!

Oh rainbow yea that really does suck   I am sorry that these cycles didn't work out for both you and not hopeless. It took me four cycles and I don't have any fertility probs so you will get there!!!! Rainbow have you thought about maybe changing clinics after what happened last time? I changed clinics and found the second one to be much more orgainsed than the first. Anyway girls please stay in touch and let me know how things go for both of you.

Hi girls how are things going. Well I went on Saturday and did my FSH, E2 and Progesterone. My FSH is 3.7, E2 is 47 and Progesterone is 0.4. Do any of you know if these numbers are good? I think the FSH and E2 are good but not sure about the Progesterone. We decided we are gong to do this cycle after all. But with no meds just natural with donor sperm. I am on cycle day 6 so I will start using OPK on Cycle day 10 which is Saturday and if all goes well I will most likely ovulate on cycle day 14 which is the 18th. Wish me luck girls. Still doing acupunture and herbs and will do two acupuntures on the week of ovulation.

Not Hopeless, how are you doing?

Kery, any news on the little bean?

Hi Rainbow-
So cool that you're still going to do cycles with donor sperm, while you get balanced via acupuncture. Keep us posted on the OPK. The 18th is a big day for me too - I'm meeting my Lil Sis! I applied for Big Sisters program a few months ago and have been thru interview, 7 hrs training, background check, references... and now they found a match. If the meeting on the 18th goes well (with social worker, parents, me and the "little") then she and i will start visiting weekly the following week! I already have a ton of activities in mind and doing something fulfilling will keep my mind off IF.
Also, my cousin came this weekend and will be here for a month. She's doing an internship in Boston and then her folks will come for week of 4th of July and stay with us as well. Phew! I'll be glad to have my privacy back after they leave.
Sorry I have no clue about the #s in your post. Everytime I have blood drawn they call wtih the stats and I'm like, hello? english please. :P Just tell me if its good or bad, and if its bad let's figure out how to fix it. I'm sure if your #s were low they'd tell you what the plan of action is.
Glad to hear from you. By the way- how is acupuncture? hurt? refreshing? feeling less stressed? I've definitely considered it but (a) it's expensive, (b) I'm a chicken. LOL.

Rainbow that is great news :D :D Sorry I am no good when it comes to the blood work too. Not hopeless made me LOL that was just how I used to feel when they told me the results!!! I really hope this is the cycle for you!! I did acupunture when I was overdue with my ds (three weeks over) and he came a few days later.

Not hopeless the big sis programme sounds like a great idea!! There are so many little ones that need a mentor and someone to look up to. I am sure you are going to get heaps out of doing it and the boy/girl will love hanging out with you. It's a great way of taking your mind off things. Gee you are going to have a buzy house. Both our families are coming over at xmas so our house will choca with people for a month.

I have been in the emergency department. I gort some blood work back and my thyroid levels were so low that they hooked me up to a ECG machine (heart monitor). The results came back fine so that was a relief. They just gave me a jab and put me on meds.
