Late period w/Lupron?

Post by maineknitter »

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone experienced a late period on Lupron? I started Lupron on May 20, and expected my period on the 26th, but AF still has not arrived! I'm on day 33 of my cycle, and usually i have a 26 day cycle!

The nurse said it's normal, but i'm still curious 'how normal'. My progesterone on Saturday was still too high to start the stimms.

maineknitter - AF was 1 1/2 weeks late on my last IVF cycle, while on Lupron. It ended up being because I had a huge cyst and AF wouldn't arrive until it started to shrink, which finally happened. Have you had an U/S?

hi angram, thanks for the reply. i haven't had an ultrasound yet, but have to check in with the nurse again tomorrow, so maybe they'll suggest one. all i've had is bloodwork. Did you still go straight to the stimms, or did you have to wait another month?

They may be able to tell from your b/w, my E2 level was crazy high and that was due to the cyst. Once my E2 levels went down and AF started, I then began the stims. Good luck and hope your b/w comes back good, AF arrives and you're able to start.
