Weird question?

Post by jcurlygirl »

I am so confused about if I am suppose to get my period or not. I have been on BCP until yesterday and have been taking Lupron since May 26th. During this time I have been spotting dark brown (sorry for the TMI). My baseline u/s and b/w is on Thursday and then I am to begin taking the stim meds on the 7th. Does anyone know if around this time frame you are to get your period? It is very confusing to me because from the way that I understood it they kept me on the BCP to not get it to build up a good uterine lining. Please HELP!

Normally a period is expected, and the IVF cycle will be the menstrual cycle following the Lupron start.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.

Hi curly,
Isn't it all so confusing! From what i remember my doc telling me was that the purpose of the BCP was to relax your ovaries and that you should get your period so that you can generate a new fresh one for the ET. He had said a period should come three days or so after you stop the BCP.

I myself didn't go on BCP, and instead started Lupron on day 20 of my cycle. I usually have a 26 day cycle, but right now i'm on day 34 and no period! Some mini-spotting day before yesterday and that's it. Anyone experience that?

I'm confused if we're supposed to have a period too! Logically you'd think you'd want a new lining, not a month old one!

I was on BCP and when I started the Lupron my nurse said "you may or may not have a period on the lupron"...so either way is normal I think (although I did have a period and most of my "friends" in the same study did too

Thanks ladies for all the replies. Well I feel much better, I guess either way is normal. I just didn't want it to mess up this cycle.
