Good morning. We had a wedding to go to this weekend. It feels like forever since I've posted. I started lupron yesterday. DH and I are old pros at this point. :) Can't wait to be done with the BCP. Only a couple more days.

Kim, congrats on your 4 little ones. Sending sticky vibes. I didn't know that about embryos losing cells. This is my first FET so I have a lot to learn.

hrobinson, how did the transfer go? Let us know when you get a chance. How nice to be on vacation! Hope you're enjoying it.

Beth, hope your headache is gone. I know that feeling -- really thinking this should work :!: since it worked once. We'll probably be transferring frozen embryos from our successful cycle. Part of me thinks those have to be the good ones, but I'm still trying to stay realistic.

Daisy, how is DS doing? Not too sick I hope.

Laura, when do you start estrogen? I start on June 16. I think I started lupron a day before you. Sending sticky thoughts to July 3!

I really enjoyed the adoption conversation, too. I'd love to hear any more stories about adoption -- positive or negative -- so I can be realistic about what that entails.

Yellow- Yea!!! So happy that you have started the Lupron. makes things seem so much closer when you are actually doing something.

I am still on estrace....for a few more weeks I think. I leave for San Antonio on Thursday and have bw and us on Friday morning. They will then do the transfer on Monday. So, I am down to just a little less than a week and I can claiim to be PUPO. I am so excited. I am really hoping it works as dd keeps asking if she can have a baby sister.

Hope everyone is doing well. Gonna run play outside with dd, before we hit the scorcher 100 degrees.

hrobinson- Sorry, I too thought by your one post that you meant your transfer was this Monday- oops...but you're almost there! What does PUPO mean?- I tried to think about it but wasn't sure and I don't think I've come across that one... 100 degrees!!! Ouch- that's too hot! I used to live in St. Louis and I just hated the humidity- it's still humid in IL but not as bad as it was there!

Yellow- I took my last bcp today and did my first lupron too. This time I'm doing all my lupron shots in my thigh- last time I bruised too much in my tummy from them and ended up switching to my leg so I'll just start there. I have an u/s and bw on June 13 and then I start the estrogen and stuff the next day- June 14, so we're pretty close with things. July 3rd just has to be our lucky day!!! I also like the idea of using our frozen embies from our ds because then if one takes, it's his fraternal twin born a few years later- that's crazy but cool.

Hotflashes are driving me insane

Post by Hotflash »

Hello~
This is my first post. I have one BG and we are trying again. We had two FE left over from the first time but only one made the thaw and the second implanted but than never grew so I miscarried. We started the Lupron about 10 days agon and the follistom Sat. I have bw and us tomorrow morning. I am cranky, bloated and the hot flashes are out of control. I look at BG and know it's worth it but I don't remember first time feeling so bad.
UGH!!!!! I feel like giving up. It is also beginning to be painful as my follicles aere getting bigger. Anyone else have this pain?

Hi Everyone!
Good luck to everyone during stimming...

I am hoping to see lots of BFP's!!

I am only day 4 of the 2WW. I already broke down and POAS. Rationally, I know it couldn't be +, but I had fun doing it anyway!

Have a great day,
Kim

Kim you are so funny. So, are you going to POAS every day untily your Beta? let's see, you only have 7 days left until Beta. I am sure you are on pins and needles. I am hoping it worked for you.

Sorry to be misleading about when we are doing everything. I just assume everyone can read my mind, as my students by the end of the year were doing a pretty good job of that.
PUPO means Pregnant Until Proven Otherwise. Is that not the coolest acronym. I love it. I just told someone that in one week I will be PUPO, they just laughed.

Hotflash- Sorry, please explain what BG means. I know what you mean about wanting to throw the towel in at times. I remember feeling that last time with my fresh cycle. Hopefully it will work out and all be worth it in teh end.

Laura- Yes not only do we have the over 100 degree weather, but we also have the humidity. WE spend lots of time inside enjoying the air conditioning. I just wish we had a pool to hang out in. Oh well. May have to go to the community pool tomorrow.

Hi girls!

Kimmy ~ you cracked me up! Hang in there, your 2ww will be over before you know it! (For the record, I NEVER POAS at all during my waits! LOL -- Be strong!!) My fingers are crossed for you.

Hotflash ~ I remember being very bloated the first time, not so much this time, but maybe that's cuz I haven't lost all of my baby weight, so I am already bloated...LOL  cranky, moody, yes! no pain (yet). Check with your RE, hopefully they aren't over stimulating you! Sounds like we are on the same cycle about...I started my gonal this past weekend, too. AND I go the the RE for bw and us tomorrow, too!! Does 'BG' mean Big Girl? or Boy Girl as in twins? or Big Guy? lol, I am wracking my brain coming up with these...pretty sad.

Hrobinson ~ ok, is it Monday as in June 9th? or the following week? My Re won't give me a date yet...is that weird? I know it all depends on my and my follies, but no even an estimate??
Hey -- is swimming allowed after ER? or ET? Just curious, bummer if I can't swim all summer!

Joyanna ~ I have always wanted to go to Ireland. Does it rain a lot there? Good luck with your lupron!

Just a shout out to Yellow and Laura! Hope all is going well...we are a bunch of women on Lupron!

beth

Okay ladies, I need your help. I am headed into the dr. Friday, and I want to have a list of questions to ask him. I know I need to know how many eggs he is tranfering, what the quality of them was when they were frozen, and what he expects them to be when they thaw.....do you think it's important to ask if they froze them on day 3 or five? I can't remember. Also, I feel I need to ask something about did they freeze the eggs at blast stage or not. however, will someone please explain blast stage to me. I just to go i super prepared.

Anyhow, I almost feel more nervous this time...however at times, I feel less nervous. Part of me says if it works great. If not, well, I have a beautiful daughter and we are okay with that.

Anyways.....
Beth- I don't think you can swim after ET/ER. However, since i am not having ER, I am okay to swim until Monday June 9th. Then we are done. however, does anyone know if you can swim after you get your bfp?
I know my dd wants to go swimming but we will have to see.

Kimmy- Did you POAS today? how many of those evil sticks did you buy? I said I won't POAS this time. however, I have one left over and I would hate for it to go to waste. hehehehe

Joyanna- July 23 will be here before you know it. It seems so far away, but it is amazing how time flies.

WEll, I guess I better go pack. I HATE packing. I always take way too much stuff. Anyhow....any help you guys can give me on questions to aks the dr. would be greatly appreciated.

hrobinson- I would definitely ask what day they froze your embies on. I think most embies reach blastocyst stage by about day 5 so then they'd freeze them on day 5, 6, or 7 as a blast. I think some clinics freeze earlier than blast stage- it depends on your clinic. That's always a good plan to think of your questions ahead of time- I do that too! Hope all goes well when you meet with your doc. Sounds like you have a very good attitude about your FET- here's to your #2!!! (I just love the PUPO- that's a great one!)

Beth- How are you doing? Yep, these meds make us nutty...I'm so tired now, it's crazy- I'm not sure if it's the lupron or getting off the bcp now...who knows!!!! Are you getting excited? Did you have an u/s and bw appt recently? Hope all is going well.

Joyanna- That's exciting to have your date, isn't it?? Hope the time goes quick for you! Has the rain ended?? It must have traveled here to the US now!

Kim- Are you hanging in there?? So you POAS every single day- you're hilarious! I didn't poas my first cycle but on my FET I did and I regretted it so I'm not going to do it this time. The 10th is almost here- sending lots and lots of +++++++++++++ baby dust your way!

Hotflash- Welcome!! I'm curious what BG means to. I like all of Beth's ideas about what it might be. I think it's a lot harder to do all of this with a little one and also once your body has been through it all before. Hope you are feeling better. I like your name too- Hotflash- cute!!

Yellow- How are you?? How's your lupron going? I'm so tired. And it's so hard too cuz I have mostly cut out caffeine so I can't rely on that to get me through the day either. And I need to totally be done with caffeine by the time I start the estrogen. Heck, I guess I should already be done with it now- oh well...Hope all is well.

Hi to all the other #2 gals- how are you?!?

Hi Ladies:
Well, I POAS this morning. I was so hoping for a +, b/c this is the day I got a + with my DS. I think I may put the sticks away for a couple of days. They are not helping with my PMA!

Kim- I too had heard that it takes longer for the FET to show up on one of those devil sticks. So, just put them away for a few days. YOur official day will be here before you know it. stay positive, and just keep busy doing whatever.

Laura- Thanks for the info.

Well, went in this morning for BW and US. I asked the dr. immediately what my lining was to be at and he said he would be really happy with a 6. I told him that I had read on here that it was supposed to be at an 8. He just smiled and said 6 was good enough, not too think, not to thin. So, he starts in with the dildocam and says uh-oh. NOt exactly what I wanted to hear to begin with. I have a rather large endometrium on my ovary. HOwever, it was there last year so he was not concerned. I asked if he thought I should have it operated on and he said not until I was 100% sure I was done trying to have kids (as I Only have 1 ovary). He said that once it gets operated on, they will have to take away almost the whole ovary. So...
HOwever, he did say that my lining was at a 7 so that was great.
When asked about how many eggs he would transfer he said up to 2. WE have 4 eggs frozen 2 A-'s together, and then 2 B+ that each have their own vial. WE are hoping that my A-'s both survive the thaw and that we have a successful transfer.
I did ask when they were frozen, and unfortuantly they did not make it to blast stage. (can someone explain blast stage to me)
They always freeze on the day of transfer. WEll, we did a three day transfer, so they were frozen on day 3. I do hope though that they are okay.
SO, that is the update on me.
Just waiting around for them to call my meds in (which will be in about 4 horus). I hate the waiting game.

I will update you guys later. Please pray for a big fat Pregnancy for me:)

Ladies, thanks for the PMA!

HRobinson, mine were also frozen at 3 days. I am so glad your lining was 7, sounds great!

:) Have a great day everyone!
