Due Date Gone Induction Booked for 01st Feb

Post by bubblymichelle »

Hi Girls,

Sorry I ain't been about but just to let you know I have been to the hospital today and they are going to induce me on the 01st Feb which is a week on Sunday if I haven't had the baby. I'm a mixture of happy/nervous/scared but I guess this is because I just don't know what to expect. He says that I need to go in with an open mind, they are going to let me try and born the baby natural but he says that theres an high chance I will have to have a c section but providing I am ok and baby I will do what ever needs to be done.

Hope everyone else is well.
Who knows the baby may come before the date.
Love
Shell.

Hi Shell, Well at least you've been given a date now - although I can certainly understand your apprehension! Will be thinking of you and hoping you go into labour yourself and that everything goes ok!!!

At last, an end definately in sight!!!! :D

A February baby would be nice - plenty of space between then and Christmas so meanies can't give prezzies and say 'that's for your Christmas and birthday'!!! :D :D :D

Seriously, because you now have a definate date, baba may decide to catch you on the hop when you least expect it... 8) Did they give you an examination or anything yesterday????

Hi Shell

I am glad that you have been given a date to focus on now. It must be hell waiting to meet your precious one. Like it's been said now that a date has been fixed it will come when you least expect it!!!!

A good friend of mine went 3 weeks over!! She had gone into early labour at 6 months and they stoppped it and then ironically 3 weeks over. She was going beside herself. She had to have 3 Sooties!!! (Nik has really started something here!)

I am thinking of you and hope you don't feel too uncomfortable. What a bummer about Lee's car. Still, a bump for a bump!! Ha ha

Quick question, when did you first feel your baby move? I am desperate to feel it but haven't so far. :(

Take care and get some sleep in.

Hi Dagny,

Well I was getting flutters from as early as about 14wks but only myself could feel them. I wasn't sure at the time if this was the baby to be honest but then I thought it must be because I had never experienced it before. I started getting stronger movements from about 16wks on if I can remember rightly. Its just such a wonderful experience, how many weeks are you now?

Lee come home in the car and to be honest it is a right state but like Lee says it can be repaired, just glad it wasn't the new car because I would of been gutted.

hi Shell

I am now 19weeks 3days and I have probably felt something but not realised it. I am a very windy person (much to DH's dismay) so I get bubbly tummy all the time anyway. I do know that the little tyke is an active thing from the scans I've had and when the doc was using the sonic aid on me yestarday and we heard the baby move she said surely you must have felt that - but I didn't. Oh well I just need to be patient and hope I feel him or her soon.

I am convinced I am having a boy. I think yours is a boy too. Have a good rest of the weekend. My DH is building our wardrobes in our bedroom and then the decorating can begin. He has wrecked the whole of the upstairs. All the bedrooms and the ensuit. Thank god we have a loft conversion to retreat to for a shower. I can't wait to get my bath back, I haven't had a nice proper bath for years and I'm bored of showers. The whole house is dusty from knocking down walls and it will be worse after the plasterer has been. At least DH is getting on with it. I have threatened to call DIY SOS if he doesn't! We have until June to finish. It took him 3 years to do the loft conversion so who knows what will happen.

Hi Dagny,

Give it time and you will be feeling the kicks and its just beautiful, at first my tummy rolled over but now I love to put my hand on my belly and experience my little ones movements.

I would love a loft conversion, we are in a new house and we have looked into it but our loft isn't big enough but we are hoping to move in a couple of years. I like where I am but Lee says we can't stay here forever.

Well a relaxing weekend is not what I have had, I have been cleaning, I have bleached my bathroom/kicthen and dusted everywhere and it all smells nice and fresh. Lee will do the hoovering tomorrow and I will do my ironing out the way, I do like to try and keep on top with everything.

My back feels alot better today, I do still have the pain but its not half as bad as it was. I am wondering if the antibiotics cleared it up? from when I had the water infection?

Oh Well think I have rambled on enough, hope your having a good weekend.

Love
Shell.

Sounds like your nesting Shell - hee-hee.
I don't know what you're usually like, but I rememebr my aunt )who was running a pub at the time) was never what you could call a housewife, and we all knew the day she was going as she hoovered and changed her bedsheets!!! :D

Dagny - Don't worry too much - I'm still having days where I'm hardly feeling Sam and I think 'where's he gone!' He could be sitting facing in so you won't feel him kick as much, or at 21 weeks, Sam was kicking his placenta which was padding everything... OMG between you and Shell getting house stuff done - how can you be bothered??? :( Never mind the dust - wait for the 'nesting' to start and that'll soon get riid of it! hee-hee.
Steve says he can't wait for my mesting to begin - cheeky  bugger!

Take care both

Well lots of people have advised me to get some rasberry tea so I think I may get some of that. I wonder if I will have the baby soon or wonder if I will have to be induced its all so exciting but also nerve wracking.
