Good afternoon Ladies:

Oh Rinnie and Daisy, I am so sorry you both have to go through such a bad time. I just know that it iwll work out for all of us. I have experienced that same thing Rinnie and it was not a happy time. Hopefully soon it will be a happier time.

As for me I finally get to give myself a shot YAY. I just got the call to start stims tonight. DH was a little to eager to help so I let him know I can handle it myself ) He will get plenty of time with those lovely progesterone shots.

If all goes as scheduled which we all know how that can be I should be having ER on 6/15 and ET on 6/18 or 6/20(hoping and hoping for blast)

For everyone els hope you waits go by quick and BETA's come back strong.

Have the best day ever!!

Dakota--Congrats on your magnificent rise in E2! Here's hoping you double and triple in the next few days! Oh, and as far as crying on Lupron, I was a weepy mess. I wailed trying to explain the plot of Charlotte's Web. I sobbed violently when "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" came on the radio. Don't even know why. These drugs will make you do some strange stuff.

Neffi--You're the Embie Whisperer! I love the image of "back where they belong." Good luck and keep us posted on the little fellas.

Rinnie--I am so sorry you had to experience your loss in such a violent and tangible way. My miscarriage is what really nudged us toward PGD. My clinic pioneered the process in this country and has been practicing for many years. I had 7 fertilized eggs that were growing normally at the 3 day stage. They biopsied all 7 and discovered that 3 had genetic abnormalities (despite the fact that they looked great and were dividing cleanly). My clinic doesn't grade embies, though one kindly doctor told me, "If we graded, they'd be in the National Honor Society." We put back 3 and froze 1. I don't really know why they did a 4 day rather than a 5 day transfer. I must confess that given the statistics on miscarriages, knowing that all three of my embies are genetically normal and free from a host of diseases, is enormously comforting. My only tip if you decide to go forward with PGD is make sure that you go to a clinic that is known for their expertise in this area. All clinics keep statistics on the percentage of embies that are damaged by the biopsy process and fail to grow as a result.

SDTrying--A HEARTBEAT! Congratulations! You must be thrilled. And to answer your question....NO...I haven't tested again. Every time I POAS, I am terrified that this will be the test that remains snowy white or flashes an ominous "Not Pregnant." I have been spotting too. I found the following blurb online someplace and it made me feel better:

IVFers SPOT. You should probably expect to spot. A normal IVF pregnancy will spot. This is because the endometrium is so plump and cushy now and then bits of blood and tissue will squeeze out. It's actually, ironically, a good sign - means your endo is one darn happy place for baby.

Indie--Honey, I am sorry you are sick! Don't despair over seven! I actually saw a statistic (wish I could remember where) that associated the collection of 7+ eggs with superior ivf outcomes. You are in the zone! Just rest, relax and take a tip from Neffi, The Embie Whisperer. Start talking to those little embies and introduce them to their MOMMY.

Tomorrow's my beta. Of course, I have a massive important meeting about 2 hours away by car. So I have to run to my RE's office, let the vampires do their trick, and then get on the Parkway. Of course my results will be in while this meeting is in full swing! I'll be CRAZY. I just pray "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" doesn't come on the radio!

Rubylee- my covert ultrasound today was quite hysterical. So orginally one of my resident friends was going to do it. We snuck into one of the back exam rooms on Labor/Delivery. I was wearing a skirt, so i could just slide off my undies and pocketed them. She gave me the vag probe so i could put it in myself (so it wouldn't be wierd). She has some difficulty finding my uterus become she's in training.

We didn't want to give up, so she went out and secretly asked one of the midwives we know to help us (meanwhile i'm still in the back room with my skirt hiked up and a vag probe sticking out of me). The mid-wife thought we were nuts- she's right of course! Anyway, she agreed and found my little bean and even printed out a pictured.

I'm glad we don't have an security cameras at my hospital!!!

Hello Been out of touch. besides being stuck and probed each morning, I have a 2 hr drive to work and company for the week at my house. Dr said this morning that he still cant see left side and right side only has 2, 17 and 16. He changed my meds a bit and I havent stopped crying. I think they might cancel this cycle. This is my first cycle what happens now ? Do I start meds again next month. Hubby is convinced I'm nuts cause I  for everything and for nothing.

Hey Ladies--

I don't have much time, off to Yoga! RE called today and all three embies are alive and well. I am very happy because usually on day 3 we lose alot of them, so this great!!!!! So I'm glad about the day 5 transfer. Quick question...

DID ANYONE GET ANY SIDE EFFECTS FROM MEDROL? MY FACE IS RED TODAY, AND KINDA HOT.....I LOOKED IT UP ONLINE AND ITS NOT LISTED AS A SIDE EFFECT? I GUESS I'LL CALL IN THE MORNING. DOES ANYONE THINK I SHOULD CALL THE ONCALL PERSON? MY SISTER THINKS I SHOULD.

I'll do personals later!

SD-that is great news!

Neffi-Red flushed face is common with the medrol.

Babygurl-I am in the same boat with you.....I had my US today and they saw 2 maybe 4 follicles. I go back on Friday to see if there are anymore and to decide what to do. I am really upset.

Anybody else start out with a low number of follicles and have more grow? I think I am on too much bravelle and HATE the drug.

Hope everybody else is doing well.

SD-that is a hilarious image you provided, but I'm so glad you get to use your own connections to get what you want. Why not? You've been waiting long enough! Make sure to post that pic on your frig!

hopinginpa-at first I think I only showed a few follies on each, however mine tend to grow up at about the same rate. I was really surprised by the drugs over the 10 day protocol, its pretty amazing what they manipulate your body into doing, and out of 18-19 follicles we got 14 eggs.

hopefulinillinois-someone recently had a link on here for hcg levels through pregnancy. I think you may be right on, just wait for your next test to compare.

Keeping fingers crossed for those not having such a good time. Please know that your strength is making all of this worth it, anb I have to remind myself quite oftern of the same...hang in there!

Hopeful- We all know that 13.4 is not a very reassuring number, but there is no reason not to continue hoping. You never know what can happen. Many of us here are trying to fight the odds the whole time, so why stop now right? You'll find many stories of women who started with low numbers and beat the odds. Remind yourself that you will be able to cope with any outcome that comes your way, and remind yourself that hope is far more pleasant state than the alternative. Hang in there, you'll be in my thoughts and prayers. Keep us posted.

I'm copying this from www.amercianpregnancy.org:

Guideline to hCG levels during pregnancy:
hCG levels in weeks from LMP (gestational age)* :

3 weeks LMP: 5 - 50 mIU/ml
4 weeks LMP: 5 - 426 mIU/ml
5 weeks LMP: 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml
6 weeks LMP: 1,080 - 56,500 mIU/ml
7 - 8 weeks LMP: 7, 650 - 229,000 mIU/ml
9 - 12 weeks LMP: 25,700 - 288,000 mIU/ml
13 - 16 weeks LMP: 13,300 - 254,000 mIU/ml
17 - 24 weeks LMP: 4,060 - 165,400 mIU/ml
25 - 40 weeks LMP: 3,640 - 117,000 mIU/ml
Non-pregnant females: <5.0 mIU/ml
Postmenopausal females: <9.5 mIU/ml

* These numbers are just a GUIDELINE-- every woman’s level of hCG can rise differently. It is not necessarily the level that matters but rather the change in the level.
