Stay positive. We have a girl on our Oct Mommies Board in the pregnancy section. She started out as a 13 also. The docs told her it was over after the second one was in the 20's and the third one was in the 30's (if I remember correctly) ....anyhow, she requested to stay on meds and get a 4th beta and today she is pregnant with twins!!! So please dont give up and Good Luck to you.

Let me be the 1st to say--- CONGRATS!!! I think this far out it is quite unlikely to be a fluke. Usually early positives mean a pretty nice beta number!! Can't wait to hear for sure on Friday.

Hi Everyone, Just a quick post to check in. I read the posts daily but don't get much chance to write as much as I would like.
Anyway I just wanted to say:

AdsGirl - Glad you are back with us and hope AF comes quickly for you.

Rinnie - My thoughts are with you, give yourself some treats and lots of TLC.

SDtrying Congratulations on seeing your beanie, your story was sooo funny. I could actually picture it in my head - you are mad!

Formaggie - Congratulations! I spotted alot in my pregnancy and even bled heavily from week 20 to 24 but all was fine and they could never explain the bleeding. They just said it was common. Just take it easy and don't overdo anything. Good luck with your beta.

Daisy - YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE ,it is out of your control and you are fab for even going through this whole emotional process. Please keep hope.

Neffi211 - Congrats on the embies

Hopefulinilinoi Don't despair - rise numbers rise!

Dakota - Glad to hear your numbers have risen, sounds like we could be in for ER at the same time. Come on Follies.

As for me, I had a US yesterday and it looks like I have approx (cos I can't remember exact no's) 5 9/10's on one side and 7 or 8 of same size on the other. There are lots of smaller ones as well apparently. I am quite pleased with that as they seem to be growing at same rate. However I may have a problem with my left Ovary as it is positioned really high and may make ER difficult. They don't know if it is stuck there by scar tissue or will move back down. Do Ovaries move? I hope it won't be a problem as I want them to be able to get to the eggs. Has anyone had this before?

They didn't do a blood test and I am not back in until monday morning but my nurse thinks I will prob be ready for ER on Weds and then transfer on Friday. But one day at a time. I am also having assisted hatching because of my age (38) and pyschologically it makes me feel better.

I am feeling a tad bloated but apart from that, very excited now.

Well good luck to everyone and lots of Babydust

Well girls they checked by hcg on day 12 and it was a very positive 576!!!!!! Other than the great news that we are pregnant. what does that mean??? I know there ia a chance of twins but what else could it be. They check again on Friday! Thanks to all of you for helping me through this tough time. Oh and about the poop, LOL They are starting me on colace today, hopefully that helps. Praying for you all. Best of luck!!

Hey ladies. Sorry I have been MIA for a few days. I got my AF after my BFN and it just made the results that much more real for me. I have still been checking on all you fabulous ladies, and it looks like things are going very positive!! I am so happy for you all. I haven't given up hope, it's just on hold until we get some moeny saved up again!

SD: Congrats on seeing the heartbeat! That is so awesome, and I am so happy for you!! You have been so much fun through this cycle!!

Neffi: Best of luck to you on your ET!! Sounds very encouraging!!

susivf: That is a fantastic beta!! Everyone's Hcg levels are different. There are those with high betas and have singletons, and those that start off real low and have multiples. So all that number means is congratulations on a positive pregnancy!!! :D

Amber

With my first cycle I only had a few good follicles so the RE said that it didn't look like a good cycle for IVF but an awesome cycle for artificial insemination. So I had to take the ovidrel to induce ovulation, just like you would for IVF. I believe because of all the drugs I wouldn't ovulation on my own or something like that. So I took the Ovidrel and they did the IUI 36 hrs later. It didn't work for me but there are many people that do medicated IUI's and get PG. Though I believe the odds are better with IVF. Hope this helps and GL.

Thank you everyone :) I'm back from today's appt and 5 of my 7 made it overnight with conventional fertilization (no ICSI needed)....so I'm happy about that. Now if 3 can make it till Saturday so they can come back to me :) I'll be extra extra happy.

I do have one question. For those of you on Crinone Gel (progesterone)....do you have problems with it staying in? The nurse described a vaginal wall as a sandwich and said that it stayed together and nothing came back out unless you inserted something (like an applicator, Tampon...etc). Umm, okay? I've always had issues with other meds coming back out (Monistat, other meds/gels)....and not 2 steps out of the RE's office today some came out. When I just went to pee some was in the toilet....so what is left to do the job? Ugghhhh!

My nurse will call tomorrow with the results of the embryo development and I am going to ask her...but I'm worried :(

So anyhow, thanks for the positive thoughts, prayers and vibes. I can wait till Saturday :)

JHarris I hope you come across money soon....I know how that goes. Maybe you'll get started sooner than you think though, I hope so!!!

SusIvf1 WOW, great Beta!!! Sounds like a high one....good luck on your next one!!!

Prawnster Isn't it funny how it's so hard to remember all those follie sizes...etc. My nurse would tell me to get dressed and I'd always grab one of the note pads in the exam room, my pen and jot them down off the screen (she always left it up). Otherwise there is no way I could remember them all LOL. Your's sound good....grow follies grow!!! And yes my Ovaries would move and sometimes she would have to mash down on my stomach to get it in visual range LOL

Emmy I'm sure it's not a fluke....good luck!!!

FTG Thanks for the list....I'll need that in the next few weeks LOL

Jenell Good luck!!! HOpe those follies surprised you and grew in to some big beautiful eggs.

Hi Ladies - yes Neffi, I am still here checking up on everyone, I just don't have too much to post. I go tomorrow for my first ultrasound, to see the sac(s). However, the last few days I haven't really felt anything (little heart burn, but no nausea), and I have had no spotting, so I am nervous about what is going on. I would have felt better if I had gotten another beta since last Friday, but I guess we will see tomorrow!

Neffi - so glad your little ones are hanging on - I am sure this is your time! I firmly believe in talking to the embies!

SD - a heartbeat - that is great!!! So far they think it's just one? How many weeks are you? Are the ultrasounds still vaginal at this point - for some reason I thought it would be external. Sorry for all the questions!

Rinnie - I am so sorry that had to happen to rub salt in the wound, but I am so glad you have such a good attitude and are prepared to do this again. Sounds like TCM really helps!

Indie - glad things are going well and hoping the best for Saturday!

Sus - Congratulations! That is a great number!

ForMaggie - congrats to you too!

Emmy - sounds good to me - good luck tomorrow!

Hopeful - keep the faith!! It can always go up!

Dakota - congrats on your E2 level - hope it continues to rise!

I hope everyone else is doing well! This has been the longest week for me, just waiting to get to tomorrow! I am going to AP soon to help me relax!

First off...

Susi
Holly sh*t!!! WOW!!!! 576....you ROCK!!! (happy dance!) Congrats!!

SD So here I am today getting my u/s and then I get this imagine of you sitting just as I am with no one else around with that probe hanging out of you. I started cracking up laughing and the tech wanted to know what was so funny so I told her the story. She started laughing and said she hears stuff like that all the time. She loves to hear them. Anyway, congrats on seeing the heartbeat, I bet that was the greatest feeling ever!!!

MzTia Yeah, congrats on starting the stims!! Gorw follies grow :P

Babygurl DOnt give up hope yet. You have two nice ones on the right. all you need is one good one to fertilize!! You could have an army packed in the left one for all yuo know. Is there a different way they can look at the left one? What has your E2 been? What goes your RE say?
Dont feel bad about the emtional roller coaster girl, I am right there with you!!

Neffi I am so happy that your 3 embies are doing well. They are troopers!!!

hopefulinIL Keep the faith. I went back a few days ago and was reading threads from long long ago looking for different E2 levels (since that is my current issue), anyho, I saw there one girl posted taht her 1st BETA was 9 and she is now 22 weeks!!! Dont give up hope!!

queenie I will be thinking of you tomorrow. I cant wait to hear how your little bugers have progressed

emmy sounds like a BFP girl!!! Congrats to you!!

Prawnster
Things are moving right along with you nicely. Hope all is perfect on Monday.

I havent heard back from the nurse yet on todays E2 levels. But, my right bugers are ready to go, even though there are only 3. My left still has 5, but one hasnt grown at all in 3 days, the others are only doing about 1mm per day and they are still a little small (17,17,15,12,11). I met with the RE today and he wants to move forward. He said looks like we will trigger tomorrow night!!! He said he has no dounts that he'll get at least a few eggs and thats all we need as long as they fertilize. He just likes to kill 2 birds with one stone and get enough good ones to fertilize to freeze and he doesnt thing that will happen. He said that would be the only reason why he would suggest us to cancel so we can get more to freeze. I told him, being honest that it is cheaper for me to do a fresh cycle than frozen, because I have to pay the cyro fee out of pocket w.o help from ins and its more costly for me that way than my 20% for a fresh. He laughed and said I was one in a million. I cant get excited about the ER, I dont know why. It just seems that too many things are not going as planned and I still feel like I may get canceled. So if all is well tomorrow then I'll start to get excited. I am glad that it will be on a Sunday to DH and I wont have to worry about taking off work.

Sorry to blah, blah, blah.

Looks like we are getting lots of BFP this week. This is awesome news!!

AAHHH..I forgot to reply to you INDIE

I am sorry you got sick. I hope you are feeling much better today and all is well. I think 7 is a great # and like they said "lucky #7". WOW 71% fertilization is awesome. That is really, really good!! I'll be praying for your little troopers.
Question, how did you guys decided to do 3 instead of 2? The RE brought that up today and said it might be a good idea to start thinking about that since I didnt have a huge response to the meds.
Can you do the progestrone shot? Taht way you dont have to worry about stuff coming out?
I cant wait to hear how you b/w went today!

LB I'm glad everything's going well!! That's exciting to see the sac for the first time.

ForMaggie Good luck today....I know it's going to be good news :)
Thanks so much for all the PGD info. I agree...the peace of mind in the midst of all this chaos is invaluable! Our clinic has one of the best Labs in SoCal, so I think we'll do it if we get enough eggs next time.

Indie That's great...they're hanging in! I did a few days of Endometrin suppositories after my PIO & the nurse said I would get some discharge but not as bad as the old suppositories they used to use because they're tablets. She said that everything that goes up, must come out, so you're sounds completely normal. I got discharge even with the tablets.

JHarris Good to hear from you! I hope you save up. Keep believing.

Amber Sorry, I have no idea about insemination like that,

Susivf1 Great number!!! Too soon to tell on multiples though.

Prawnster Thanks! Sounds like good numbers. I would think Ovaries can move because they're kind of suspended out there. You might be more sore if they have to manipulate a bit.

SD You crack me up! But, hey...you gotta do what you gotta do right ?

Hopeful Hang in!! It may be a late implanter. As long as it's going up keep the faith. It's worked for a lot who were that low including Corny on the October Mommies board & she has twins.

Dakota Cycles never go as planned but all it takes is one good egg. Keep PMA cause those guys need it :)
