Hi Jennalea

I started my lupron on May 18 and started the Follistim and Repronex last night. I totally understand the scared of needles thing. The first night that I did my Lupron DH wanted to do it but I wouldn't let him. I figured that if I couldn't do the shot how could I do the rest. But as I went to do the spot I just held it shaking freaking DH out. I hurried and did it and it was nothing. I think to me the shots are not all that scary anymore.

My tummy is sore today from the other drugs but I just think that it is one less than I had before.

Hello~
This is my first post. I have one BG and we are trying again. We had two FE left over from the first time but only one made the thaw and the second implanted but than never grew so I miscarried. We started the Lupron about 10 days agon and the follistom Sat. I have bw and us tomorrow morning. I am cranky, bloated and the hot flashes are out of control. I look at BG and know it's worth it but I don't remember first time feeling so bad. Anyone else feel like an alien on these shots?

Wow, this board is picking up, it's nice to read all of the new posts. Hotflash, I sure hope things get better for you.

I started my Lupron shots last Thursday, May 29. This is our first IVF, our doctor basically said that anything but IVF would be a waste of time, so this is our first try at anything like this. A lot of the abbreviations on here are confusing, thanks Brit for posting on this. Ours is male infertility as well, I saw some others posted on this.

I don't know when I'll start my stimulation meds, it depends on how things go this week and into next week.

Anyway, thanks for all of the posts, they're very helpful to read.

Hello all, so they moved my us up to today and everything looks really good. They actually took me off the Repronex for tonight and tomorrow, and my dosage has been lowered for the follistim. So I go for my next us on Thursday, wow this is going really fast!! Hope everyone is doing well.

The days fly by with the shots but yet it seems like forever for the whole process. We have male infertility as well. I have endometreosis but my Doctor says that is not effecting things. I have trouble with all the abbreviations as well it gets so confusing. I will find out tomorrow how many follicles are stimulated. We are hoping for a larg harvest so I don't have to do shots ever again. I am nervous and I feel like a ditz at work. It seems tobe all I think about...

Sorry to crash your thread ladies but I had big trouble with abbreviations too. There is a great list in the general forum under sticky called abbreviatiosn itis on page 3. The list helped me so much.

Hi I'm new to the board hope you don't mind r 1st timer on the board. this is my first IVF and hopefully my last.

I started my Lupron on 5/21 and because my husband has been away on business and is just returning Monday I just started my Gonal F tonight I was all worried for nothing it wasn't bad at all. I have been doing all my own injections despite my wicked fear of needles. I am on Gonal f for 3 days then repronex for 1 then I go Sunday for B/W and U/S...does anyone know how long this takes? I am trying to come up with a time line I know I need to be more patient but i'm starting a new job and want to have the retrival and transfer done so it's on less thing to stress about...

Very brave on doing the shots yourself. This time I am also doing on my own.

I was on stimming meds approx. for 13-14 days...

in all my 3 cycles.

When is your estimated retrieval?

The nurse at my RE said my ER may be the middle or end of next week I'm praying for the middle!!! So that my transfer could be done before I go and start my new job!!
