Crinone Gel? How do you keep it in?

Post by IndieBlue »

Okay, my nurse said that the vag. walls were like a sandwich and the gel wouldn't come out....well not 2 steps out of the RE's office and it started! It's just been a waterfall of gel since I've been home...when I go to the bathroom, when I am just sitting here....ugghh! I'm not feeling very positive about this!

Don't panic about some gel coming back out, you absorb the progesterone from it relatively quick.
I remember how messy it is, i always felt like i had wet myself
sorry if that was tmi

Mindy Yea...isn't that a fun feeling. When I start feeling like that, then I really do have to go pee...so 3 months of Crinone do not sound like fun....:( But I'm more worried about it working...so this mornings dose I took it and then went and layed back down for 45 minutes or so. I'll see if that does any better. I read somewhere that the medicine is pretty much absorbed within the first 10 minutes or so....again, hoping that 45 was enough. They say it's a 'bioadhesive' on the insert/instructions....well it's not adhering to anything I've got LOL

Waiting on the Re's office to call....but she said the probability of a Saturday (3dt) transfer was great since we only had 5 that fertilized out of 7.....I'm excited. Can't wait to get the call and praying that my embabies made it through the night.

I'm letting God make that decision :) My RE said that 3 would be the Max on day 3....so we're good with that. We had 5 make it through fertilization, and by day 3 I think they'll have a good idea of how many are going to make it and the decision will be made for us based on how many are left :)

Thanks Rubylee. Sadly my RE said I had to put it back between 6am and 10am....so I usually put it back at 6am and then lay down till 7am...that hour seems to help a LOT.

I wish I could do it at night though....but I still think I'm getting a good amount and it's FDA approved...etc so I'm sure they tested it on women with lady parts like mine LOL and it worked.

Just 11 more weeks of it LOL
