Can anyone help me???

Post by gem »

Hi
I feel abit silly writing this topic, but I'm getting worried and wanted a bit ao reasureance.
I had et on Tues and yesterday I started getting some pain lower down on the left side of my belly it wasnt all the time and it was bearable, but last night I woke at 4am in more pain I couldnt get comfy so I went to the toilet which helped I finally got to sleep but only with a cushion on my belly and my knees up to my belly laid on my side, this morning when I got up again it was really painful it really scared me but the pain went for abit when I went to the toilet Iam drinking lots of water and when my bladder is full my belly is really uncomfy,I keep thinking it might be trapped wind cos its too early for implantion and I'm sure you wouldnt get a pain just on 1 side if they had implanted,I am on day 5 cos they were day 3 when I had the et.
Sorry for rambling I was just wondering if any body else as suffered from pain on one side of ther belly?
I have been through et twice before and have never had theis kind of pain, but both were negative!!
Thanks again for listening to me ramble on.

Hi Gemma

I had some pain on my right side in the first few days but i found it more if i got up to quick i still get that today and i am 11 weeks 3days pg.
I take it it was a fresh et which means its probably your ovaries or just your body getting back to normal. I would not worry but if you are concerned i would phone your clinic.

Hope this helps

first of all if u our worried ring the nurses even if its to put
your mind at rest, that is what they are there for.
I have to say on my last treatment (4th) i had very
bad pains down below and in the second wk my
right side realy hurt when i sneezed or turn over
quickly to get out of bed.
There could be lots of reasons to why u are feeling like this,
u must remember that your ovaries have had
a lot to deal with over the last month and can
still be very enlarged.
let us know how u are.

Thanks Helen and Alisonn
You have both put my mind at rest (and dh's as well),the pain as got better at the moment it comes and goes if I'm worried and in more pain tomorrow I will ring the clinic.
It was just I havent had this pain before with my other cycles but I keep thinking postive that they were both negative and maybe this one is different!!

Thankyou again and enjoy the rest of your pregnancies

Hi Gem,

I had really bad stomach pains on my first cycle, so bad I ended up going to A & E at 4.00 am - and a couple of windeze later I felt much better and very silly

If you think of all the poking around they do at EC, it is not surprising some air gets trapped inside you.

The good news is you can take windeze if you are pregnant, it says so on the packet. They are brilliant, and you feel much better very quickly. If you are still suffering it might be worth getting a packet.

Hi Gemma,

First of all you are not being silly in the slightest. Like the others say, phone your clinic if you have ANY queries - that's what they are there for.
Your body has been through a lot physically and emotionally recently and don't worry about not feeling the same as other cycles - every one is different (and hopefully this one is as it'll be ++++++ :D :D )

I had constant pains and cramps - some felt really bad - for the first few weeks and I am now 31 and a half weeks gone!! Try to relax a little (difficult I know), and keep drinking the water!!

Good luck

Thanks guys for your reasurance this site is brill.
The pains have gone now which in a way I'm a bit dissapointed as the last two times I didnt get the pains so I thought this might be a positive sign :? my belly is a bit tender when I press on and my nipples are but not my boobs I'm just sick of this waiting and worrying about getting pains then not getting pains,I'l be grey before I'm 27
The only thing I've found different is that I've really gone of strong tasting foods such as curries the smell makes me gip, which is weird but I keep telling dh its too early for a pg sign Am I right?????
Dh and I have had a talk and if this cycle fails AGAIN we will try again in March then if that 1 fails have some more tests done to see why the embryos dont want to stick around.
Thanks again for you advice
Hope you all have a good weekend Love Gemxxxxxx

Hi Gem,

Its only natural to worry, I was exactly the same, I had all sorts of pains to be honest, sharp pains, AF pains and it was horrible. I did contact my clinic because I was worrying and at the end of the day it doesn't do you any good to worry. The clinic said it was to be expected really with all the drugs and everything that had been done. The day before I tested I had very bad period pain and I was convinced it was going to be a negative but it wasn't I am now 40wks 3d pg, yeah gone over but hey there we go, so don't think that the pains are always a bad sign.
