Hello everyone,
May name is Susan and I am 41 y/o. My husband and I are in the middle of our first IVF cycle. Like all of you I am scared, happy, excited, crazy..... you name it!!
I went for my first u/s and b/w 2 days ago and was so disappointed. After 4 days of stims I had only 3 follicles over 5 mm. I know 4 days isn't really that long, but I was so hopeful.
Here is my first question - Have any of you been "slow stimulators"? If so, how long did it take? My second question is this - Today I started getting a sticky, clear vaginal discharge. Previously, when I was about to ovulate this happened. I am a little worried because I don't want to ovulate! I should probably add that I am on 5 units of Lupron daily and thought this was supposed to prevent ovulation. If any experienced IVF'ers can share their experiences with me I would appreciate it so much.

Hi Susan...try not to worry about your follicles...more can/probably will show up at your next visit....you'll probably stim for 10 or more days so lots can happen. (I had 11 follicles, 9 eggs retrieved, only 4 fertilized and I'm 10 weeks BFP now) I'm 35 but high FSH so I was treated as a poor responder...I stimmed for 11 days.
I also had the clear discharge and thought (panicked) I was going to ovulate! The lupron keeps you from ovulating and I think the discharge is totally normal- I asked the nurse.
