Karen OMGosh...I'm so glad to hear back from you! I'm sure we all are...LOL YAY on the BFP!!! And great 1st Beta....since they do ours early and we had 3dt!!! I can't wait to hear your second one...do you go in tomorrow? Oh and did you leave out your Crinone on Beta day? I didn't figure they'd do any kind of exam so it would be okay to put it in that day? Hope you get your other issue worked out ;) My nurse called me today and said to take Metamucil, suppositories/glycerin or Colace to help with my constipation....but I still feel like I'm going to either push out my babies or pop out my eyeballs....whichever happens first! She assured me I can't push them out.....so we'll see.

I'm so glad to hear that your got a BFP, I know you didn't do bedrest so that makes me feel so much better. So many women do bedrest and I felt bad that I didn't, but she didn't tell me to. I 'rested' but I still had to get up and load the dishwasher, laundry or cook up something for supper...etc. Now with this cold on top of all that, I'll be amazed when/if I get that BFP.

Oh and what day did you get that BFP on your HPT? I figured maybe on Sunday (which is 8dp3dt) I might get to see one...but that still may be too early?

Again, Congrats!!! I'm just overjoyed for you (hence the chatty post) LOL

Congratulations, Karen!!! Excellent first beta, can't wait to hear your numbers tomorrow.

Baylor - I'm praying that you have just 2 little beans in there, I completely understand being overwhelmed by the thought of 3. I'm really sorry you're having to go through this right now and not get to totally enjoy just being pregnant. Let us know how the u/s goes this weekend, we'll all be thinking about you.

Indie - I had the same constipation issue last cycle, so I'm hoping the recommended stuff helps ya out. Pretty sure your eyeballs and embies aren't gonna pop out, but I do understand :)

Angram Thank you so much for the post....I'm glad to see that the constipation won't mess with me too much. I've actually moved on to the cough now :( It's killing me. I have been up every hour since midnight....now at 4 I just decided to stay up, I hate this. I always get a dry hacking cough at night when I get the slightest cold.....thankfully I've not had one in YEARS but I've tried everything tonight to get some rest and it's just not working. Poor little embabies....probably think it's an earthquake. Luckily it only seems worse when I'm laying down and get to sleep, maybe when my body temp rises? I've tried sitting up, drinking some warm tea with lemon and honey, taking plain honey, drinking some grape juice and honey, gargling salt water and putting on some mentholatum....nothing worked :( I looked up some home remedies but YUCK! LOL, plus not really sure I want to try anything while I'm assuming I'm pregnant....a lot of those home remedies contain Ginger and such and again, not sure that's too safe for pregnant women. So I'll sit up on the couch and get some rest maybe.

I can't wait for you to be through with Friday :) Having all those little embryo's....if you get 10 that'll be a great number to choose from :) Just one more night of shots...then hopefully TRIGGER!!!

Well, off to the couch :)

Morning Indie - Oh my goodness, 4AM and you have a house full of kiddos. I get the exact same way when I have a cold, it's always worse at night, can't lay down to sleep, and cough all night long! My last remedie was a humidifier, and it helped so much. You can get them at the drugstore (got mine at walgreens) or Walmart, or just about anywhere. I leaned over it for a bit to help moisten my throat and nose and then slept with it pointed at me...it totally works. I'm pretty sure I've also read that pregnant women with M/S should drink water with ginger in it to help with the nausea, so I think you can have ginger now too, if you need it to help with the cold. I'm so sorry to hear you're feeling this bad, between the constipation and cold, I hope it all goes away soon and you get to enjoy those beautiful babies :D

Oh yeah, I go in tomorrow afternoon to see how these little follies are doing. I'm at home right now waiting for what's hopefully my last delivery of meds from Freedom. I had to order 2 extra vials of Gonal F yesterday, so hope that's enough extra for tomorrow. I've almost gone through 3 900's and a 450 pen, so we're planning to use what's left of the 450 tomorrow, extract the extra out with a needle, and then use the 150 vials, hoping it all adds up to 375 :) I can feel what DH calls my 'bag of marbles' growing, so hoping they look good tomorrow and my E2 is up. My E2 wasn't all that high the other day, 246 I think, but RE said it was good. I thought it was supposed to be much higher, but it had tripled since the visit before, so guess it's ok.

Karen: Congrates...how could you forget us...just kidding....

Indie: Dont take ginger..its not good in early pregnancy....but humidifier should work....rest in the day time if possible....and yes take constipation meds....many women do......

Angram: yes those symptoms are normal.....I had them all.....I was hungry a lot in the morning...so the first thing I used to do is to get up and drink cold milk...it was such a relief....

Baylor: I am telling you what my nurse told me...the worst thing you can do to you babies is 'worry'......whatever has to happen will happen....and above all...if the babies are 3 days apart then they have to be in differnt sac...may be they wanted to be very close to each other the day of sono.....

me: the wrist band seems to be working.....yesssssss.....

Karen Any beta news yet? Is it 1000? LOL

Stress Thanks for the information on the constipation meds....I bought some metamucil (I remember my dad taking this stuff growing up, every single morning he'd have a spoonful in his orange juice). So I poured me a big old cup of OJ and added some......YUCK!!! Something about that stuff just scratches my throat and it feels soooo strange. I think I'm going to have to go with the pills and pass this big old bottle of metamucil on to my dad LOL I'm glad your wrist bands are working....we use those when we travel. Speaking of traveling, we were talking today about funny things you see on the road. You know on our trips to Atlanta we saw a lady in traffic (it's bad in the AM) and she was actually cutting her hair in the car!!!! And another lady on the back of a motorcycle reading a book while her husband drove.....gosh I'd be sick for sure trying to read while moving. You can save those bands when you're done with MS and maybe your little one can use them if they get car sick :)

Angram Gosh....sorry about having to order more GonalF. That stuff isn't cheap. My RE orders the 450iu vials, since they have 675iu in them...you get more 'free' in that size. But it was still 350.00 a vial!!!! I'm glad your marbles are growing LOL We have a humidifier, for some reason though, every time we used it I would get really really croupy in my lungs...maybe ours puts out too much moisture. I may turn our house one on tonight though....since my side of the bed is by the vent LOL

Oh well, off to switch purses :) My bday is Monday so I treated myself to a new purse today LOL

stress - glad to hear the bands are working and hopefully you can keep some food down and help that little bean keep a growin'.

indie - i've tried the metamucil in both water and OJ and it absolutely sucks. you're right, it is so darn gritty and i have no idea how your dad can drink that every single day. a pill sounds way better to me :) happy birthday on monday..hopefully you'll get a belated gift next week with a BFP!!

Finally, beta was 338. Doubling time of 46.01 hours or 1.9 days. I guess that is ok. I go again next Tues for my 3rd beta. Then u/s will be somewhere around the end of month.

Indie- Thanks for the congrats!! I got my first + on 11 DPO, I started feeling different on the night of 10 DPO. That said, I didn't test on 10 DPO and I saw what was the faintest of lines on 9 DPO, but thought it was an evap. Today, they gave me some samples of PrimaCare PNV, they have a stool softner in them. Maybe you should ask for those. She said if I liked them, I could get a script for them. What DPO are you today? I didn't leave the prog out during these beta visits, all they are doing is drawing blood and vitals.
I have had a cold since transfer. I am extremely snotty, can't sleep and have a cough. I put vicks on my throat & under my nose and have been sleeping elevated, cause I can't breathe. It is driving me nuts.
Try some Miralax for the constipation. It is not gritty.

Stress-Glad that those bands are working, sometimes I get a hint of nausea but nothing full fledged yet. The cramping has been really bad today.

Angram-I hope that your eggs are gearing up for your u/s. I bet you will see a jump in your estrogen level tomorrow too. Let us know!
Karen

Karen YAY....that sounds GREAT!!! Just think, that is a 'normal' day beta, we do test early ya know! So that is AWESOME!!! As far as the Mirilax, we had to use that for my youngest...per the doctor, when we first brought him home. Seems he was used to eating nothing but fast food so 'real' food constipated him for a while. I tried it once and it made my throat itch....I was soooo scared that it was going to swell shut, not really sure if it was an allergic reaction or just the medicine itself? Anyhow, thinking I'm going to pick up some Metamucil pills tonight...or maybe a box of Colace tablets (even though they are really really expensive). I'll have to ask about the prenatals....who would have thought to put some stool softeners in the prenatals....GENIUS!!!

Well, today is 4dp3dt, transfer was Saturday so I think that's right LOL I was thinking the first possible day I would see anything was Sunday, which is 8dp3dt....but maybe that is even too early. I'll just be bummed if I'm not seeing one by the 17th, which is 10dpt, 1 day before Beta. So my Beta is on the 11th day (18th)....oh but wait, are you counting days past ovulation/egg retrieval or transfer? I had transfer on the 7th, and 1st Beta on the 18th....so 14 days past ER, but not ET. Maybe mine is different? I thought everyone had 1st Beta 14 days from ER in this study.

Oh well...again, praying to see something on Sunday, but not fretting about it till Tuesday LOL

What do your cramps feel like? AF cramps? I had those a few days after ER and I made a mental note of it....because I figured I'd have them during the 2ww and I wanted to remember I'd had them during the cycle so to not freak out LOL I had some cramping today, but then you start wondering if it's the colon or your implantation LOL Darn body and it's mixed signals...>LOL

Well, I'm so glad you got your second beta back....that is truly a great number. I'm so happy for you and hope I can join you in the BFP club on Wednesday.

My beta was 13 dpo or 10dp3dt, which made me nervous. I had some cramps throughout but I think they were bowel cramps. On 10 DPO evening, I started having AF cramps but they were different and there was a slight burning feeling in my lower abdomen. Almost like urinary pain, I was so hoping then that I wasn't making it all up in my head.

karen - I am so excited and happy for you, that's a great 2nd beta! I'm sure you'll start getting even more symptoms here shortly. When's your first u/s?

I swear the progesterone plays with our heads, since it gives us some pregnancy symptoms. It's like torture to have to wait 2 weeks and not know, and I seem to make every single nothing into something. I'm going to try my best this time around to not freak out every single day of the wait, but we'll see :)

Angram LOL, isn't that the truth. Darn progesterone LOL My BB's have been sore since the beginning of this though...so I know that can't be counted on as a pregnancy symptom. I'm sick to my stomach in the evening...again, progesterone. And those AF type cramps that radiate in to my back.....that could be any number of things LOL

Oh and I read yesterday where Progesterone can make you 'depressed' or down feeling....GREAT!!! Like we don't already have a pessimistic attitude going in to the 2ww because of so many factors fighting against us, but sure....why not give us something to make us feel all negative LOL

Well, small update on me.....I am still having those AF type cramps, and this morning I woke up and had a flushed feeling (the hot kind, not the toilet kind LOL). I pray it's not my body preparing for AF :( No implantation bleeding (yet)...actually no bleeding of any kind (and I had read so many women had some spotting on the progesterone). The only thing that seems to be haunting me is this constipation LOL And it's not really that anymore...I'm going...it's just hard to go. Guess I'll up the prunes and maybe buy that Colace Softener to see if that helps.

I hope you're able to get through this cycle without overanalyzing too much Angram.....I really really was fine the first few days. I don't feel puffy anymore, no pregnancy symptoms that can't be attributed to that progesterone and I just had the attitude that if it was meant to be it would be. Now that I'm getting closer to the Beta date and I should start seeing a change on the HPT soon I'm getting more and more crazy LOL

I can't imagine how women go through 6+ cycles....I think I'd be institutionalized by that time....this is mentally and physically exhausting.

Morning ladies - Just got to work from having my b/w done, so keeping my fingers crossed everything looks good for my u/s this afternoon.

Indie - Sad to say I'm laughing at all the symptoms you're reporting, I swear it's total BS that we have to add a few more things on to the already trying process :) I remember the first time I used the progesterone and was reading the side effects and was laughing at the same thing, depression. I also liked the part about feeling bloated, sore BB's, and especially the possible lack in sexual desire. It's not enough that we already feel like we're carrying around a couple bags of marbles in our abdomen, but lets tack on a few extras just for fun :)

The 2ww is okay for me at the start, but the 2nd week is a killer. I've gone through 2 natural rounds with meds (+ 6 months natural in general), 9 IUI's with meds, and this will be my 2nd IVF. The 2ww has never changed, always reading into every single twinge and cramp..makes us even crazier than we already are :)

Indie, when I had implantation spotting and cramping girl I freaked out. I knew it could be that, but the fact of not knowing what it really was freaked me out. So, I hope that you are KU w/o all of that other stuff b/c it can play wiht you after a positive beta. good luck.
