Good to see everyone is doing so well, except the nasty MS.
I guess I was lucky, my MS has gone away but I still don't feel like eating things I usually eat. I eat lots of crackers and snacks, its what i feel oike most of the time.

I wish I could post my ultrasound pictures here, its so interesting seeing the changes week by week. This week he/she was bouncing around and had her hands by her face but would occassionally wave them around. I'm doing them abdominally now, but it would more detailed vaginally. I'm content just seeing a little detail and a heatbeat, though. I did doppler the heartbeat last week but then a friend told me the doppler puts out more sound waves than the ultrasound. I couldn't believe it so I looked it up on the iternet and the site I found said the opposite. How confusing. So, 2 days a ago I asked one of our smartest and most up to date on research OB docs what he knew about this and he said in fact the doppler does put out more sound waves BUT he said its still all completely safe. I still worry about it, so I limit myself to once a week. My DH said to consider it therapy cause it puts my mind at rest so I can relax. I like that justification.

Nothing else new here, just waiting to get some energy back and avoiding tomatoes.

Hey Nic: Long time no see :D 8)
Chelly: The Nuchal Trnslucency is genetic testing for downs syndrome. Personally I didn't want to do it, but DH was pretty insistent, and it is another U/S that insurance pays for, so I am just looking forward to seeing them again. :D

Yah her tummy was pretty bad, but 6 babies is a lot at one time hehe

Had my u/s today, I am 9wk1d...now the bean actually looks like a baby! Baby measured 27mm and the heartbeat was 169, RE said everything looks good. I get to start weaning off the PIO next week, I drop back to .5cc then stop on the 28th!! Oh, the 28th will be such a happy day!! I have to go back on the 20th & 30th for more b/w & u/s.
I know I go more often now b/c it's an IVF pregnancy, but how often do you go after you hit 12 weeks? Just curious, this is my 1st so I don't know.
Also, how many of you are having the 1st trimester screening? They keep asking me about it b/c it has to be done by 13 weeks, but I don't know what to do. Regardless of the results, we will not terminate a pregnancy...so does it matter if I get the testing or not? If it was diagnostic and something could be done to fix the problem, then maybe, but for down's & trisomy 18....there is nothing to be done.
What do yall think?
God Bless!

Chelly, we decided against the early screening for he same reason you said, we'd never think of terminating no matter what. Its a tough decision even still cause the doc pointed out it would hekp prepare us even if we weren't terminating. I feel good about our decision though. Glad everything is going well for you.

I was officially released from my ER today. My E2 and P4 are climbing despite weaning off the hormones so I was able to take of my last estrogen patch and now I'm all done. YIPEEEEEEEE!

niki- congratulations on graduation! Isn't it such a milestone! They weaned me off the estrogen already, I'm just waiting to cut back on those dreaded PIO! I feel like the progesterone is my safety blanket, but I know they wont let me stop if my levels drop.
DH and I decided last night we will not be doing any early screening. I have been trolling the boards and I found a thread and several of the women had 'positive' results, got an amnio or CVS and ended up being fine. I don't feel like putting myself through that kind of stress and anxiety. God put this baby in our hands, so we will raise it no matter what.

How is everyone doing? Seems like our thread is getting a bit thin!
God Bless!

Chelly - that's how we feel about our babies. We decided that all the normal test during pregnancy is fine anything else we are not going to attempt to do it and worry about it.

We are going to leave everything in god's hand and wish/hope for the best.

I have been getting these really bad headaches it's tto the point where i cannot function. They go away if i lay down and take me a nap or something for few minutes. But how am I suppose to do that crap at work!!

Ugh - I dunno what to do anymore. I wanna call my OB and complain about my headaces and lightheaded but then I worry she will tell me to be on bedrest!!!

it's getting harder and harder to concentrate - Oh did I tell you guys now i have a belly LOL :)

it's so cute -small and round it's amazing :)

Have you guys felt anything yet in your tummy - lil movements or anything??

Sameera.....its still a bit early to feel the baby move yet. I think with my first baby I felt movement around 16 weeks for the first time. The baby is so tiny and feather light that even if it was to touch the wall of your uterus you wouldn't feel it. Soon enough though. It is the most amazing thing in the world. I remember watching elbows and feet pushing my tummy out when he was stretching and turning. I can't wait to feel that again.

yes, i do have a hard time concentrating. I don't know if its cause of the nausea or pregnancy forgetfulness. I still have bad nausea up until 2-3pm...but at least when I went to my last RE appt I hadn't gained any weight yet!
I am not showing yet, I'm guessing b/c its a singleton. I do feel really 'full' in the tummy though, and I can't suck in to fit into my pants. I haven't bought any new clothes yet; I don't need any for work.
Sameera- sorry to hear about the headaches...maybe you do need to tell your OB just in case. Have you been working hard? Maybe you need a vacation!
God Bless!

Chelly - I know i need a vacation and we had plans and everything but with Twins on the way - we had to cancel our plans. Due to financial stuff!!

We want to save enough so IF i have to quit then we would be fine.. We are in the process of finding a new car.. then I have to get some stuff for the babies and get room ready!

Oh yeah talk about stress no wonder i get headaches LOL

I was thinking about all the baby stuff I will have to buy, and it was giving me a headache too! I told DH we need to start saving now! We will probably keep the same cars...DH drives a montero sport that should be big enough for us, the baby, and 2 fur-babies. I drive an old Honda CRV...its old but its still a freakin' awesome car. Iv'e had it since my senior year in college!! The gas mileage is decent, plus its paid...I can't bear the thought of taking on a car payment! Thankfully the IVF costs are paid off and we didnt take loans, but we owe so much in grad school loans we will still be in the hole for a while.
-sigh-

Chelly - Don't buy everything just make the baby registry and I'm sure you will have a baby shower. You'll be surprised how many things you would get.

you still need to save money on the side so you can buy him/her a crib of your choice or anything big that you need for the baby!!

These babies aren't cheap LOL we have already spent tons of money on em and will be spending more and more as times goes :) :)

We are in the process of getting a new car cause my car Jettta will not fit 2 car seats and 1 booster seat - it will be all packed and I would have such a difficult time to get the babies out..

His car is big but not big enough for 3 seats LOL - so now my only option is to get a big SUV or Van and I don't want a van...

I told him I could go with something like chrysler pacifica - he said I need to look like mommy of 3, and need to get van LOL!!

SO who knows what we are gonna do - I just wish we had a bigger house and what not - we were planning to get a bigger house if we had ONE baby..

Now that we have two babies - then I may have to quit and if I quit then we will be dependent on just his income which means we cannot get a house at least not yet!!

Ugh, I wish we were rich LOL - but i guess god has plans for everything and things happens for a reason. ..

I do plan to wait patiently and hopefully we can get a bigger/better house :) :)

Alright, I am done rambling, been really emotional so pardon my big message..

How's everyone else feeling??

sameera- yeah, i guess you would need something pretty big to fit 3 car seats! And an even bigger house! I know how you feel...we have a 3 bedroom house that we bought when we first were starting out...I remember thinking it was such a big accomplishment and we were finally 'adults' b/c we had a house to ourselves.
Now I look around, and its packed full of junk, plus the fur-babies have taken over the house with all their toys and blankets! I would love to buy a new house, but with the way the housing market it we are better off waiting.
Plus, they just built a brand-new elementary school less than 2 blocks away, even though baby won't be going for another 6 years, its very convenient.
We will probably only buy the big furniture and then wait until after the shower to buy the rest. I am very picky, DH and I try to be as 'green' as possible. I am looking into BPA & pthalate free products, and we will likely try to raise the baby as organic as possible. We are going to be those weird hippie parents but I don't care. This may be our only one!
Have a good Friday!

chelly - I totally understand and you know what's best for your child and you are the PARENT!!

So you have every right to feed them anything you want - just ignore ppl :)

I want my kids to learn about my culture and heritage/food etc... My daughter eats spicy food but not a whole lot..

I'm teaching her to speak my language too - so hopefully I can do that for all 3 kids and raise them to be very polite and good kids.

sameera- what is your native culture? I am 1/2 Japanese and my husband is hispanic, so our baby will be very multi-cultural. I want them to know their heritage, however it will be a struggle with DH's side.

Japanese traditionally are healthy, the diet is very vegetarian based. Most of the food my mom eats are healthy so I am comfortable letting her feed them traditional japanese foods.
BUT my DH's parents are very old fashioned tex-mex...so they like their tortillas, carne, refried beans etc. Not exactly healthy since most of the tex-mex dishes are high fat/high sodium. I do cook some tex-mex foods and I make healthier versions, like I make borracho beans but I don't use bacon fat or beer, I use spices, cilantro and rotel.
Its really important for me that my kids learn japanese and spanish and they have good relationships with their grandparents.

I totally understand where you are coming from. Are you and DH from different backgrounds? I am sure your kids will be great!

God Bless!

I think I'm ready to join you guys over here. EDD is Jan 15. I'm a mom of IUI twins already, they are almost two. This time is a singleton, thank goodness. So we're preparing for an extension of our family too, and looking at minivans. Almost to the twelve week safety mark, thank goodness. I'm definitely showing already, but I was huge with my twins, so I'm not all that surprised.

Congrats to all of you.
