Traci,
Have a quick question for you!
Thought it might keep you on the top spot!!

What is FSH levels? The reason I ask is the clinic I go to(invisible one at the moment! another story) dont tell us anything, everything I know (which is not a lot) is what I have learnt from this site

You say your levels will be low cos you have gone 27 days and normally only 23, well I only ever go 23 days, quite often 19 or 20. WIll this mean my levels are high and does this effect implantation? I ask cos we are doing IVF because of male fertility and am wondering if maybe it could be to do with my cycle also??

Feel free to answer each question separately if you need to!! and if you cant answer them all may be an idea to post to say you dont know as well........
Take care and thanks for listening

we too are going for male infertility due to vasectomy reversal resulting in low motility , with me they found that FSH if it is over 8 it makes it harder for you to respond to the drugs , dont get confused with how long the cycles are cause your FSH might be ok , I just found that I always had a 26 day cycle then when my cycles went to 23 days my FSH was higher as high as 16 , I have had 2 icsi cycles and produced 5 eggs the first go and 4 eggs the second , you really need to ask what your levels are . you would have had this test on days 2-5 of your cycle by a blood test and then you progestrone test is done at day 21 , if you havent had these I would certainly ask why not cause these tests see if you are ovulating and your egg reserve and how well you will respond , if you want a chat with me cause I know quite alot now email me your phone number and I will call you , it wont be till after 9pm tonight but I am willing to help in any way I can.

Morning Everyone,

How are we all today?

Trace you do half make me laugh, to be honest I didn't even realise I was at the top to be honest, I had forgot about looking. Well I ain't at the top anymore cus you've over took me but never mind. You will always be at the top after Sunday when I go into hospital.

Hi Traci, thanks for your advice.

WHen I did ICSi last may I did have blood tests done but they do not go into details, I responded OK and produced 17 eggs of which 10 fertilised and 9 embryos were frozen(got OHSS so did not have et) so I assume my FSH levels are ok..... I think my hospital probably only go into details if there is a problem so I am not going to worry too much about it at the mo...

Anyway, good luck and I hope your test results were what you were hoping for.

Sarah

I wouldn't worry too much either. I have always had high FSH levels and they insisted I used Puregon because this apparently produces better results for people with high FSH. Saying that, I got 14 eggs first go and reasonably good quality but failed tmt, the second go I only managed 6 eggs/4 embies with poor quality and we know what happened to two of those.....

I'm sure if you had something to worry about re FSH your hospital would have mentioned it - don't you think Traci?

I think you've just been unlucky and now you've had your long rest (albeit forced upon you thanks to the builders!) this will be your lucky go! I truly hope so.

Your FSH sounds great to respond to TMT that good so I wouldnt go into worrying about that.

Michell
How are you chuck, fancy a chat before you go in , I do hope you havent got too much snow there, its melting fast here. went to the docs and they have picked up that my thyroid is underactive but border line , they couldnt realy tell me about the other results as the clinic will look at them differently. so I guess I will have to wait till 26th Feb .

Hope you are ok , not long now

Hi Trace,

Nice to hear from you, I'm sorry to hear about your thyroid being on border level but least they can keep an eye open. I can't believe you have to wait till near enough the end of Feb though about your other results.

Well its nearly here Trace, i don't know what is better going in to be started or going into labour myself. I wish I would go in labour myself because as Sunday is creeping nearer I am thinking OMG.

Well I guess your top of the postings again lol.
