Hi all,
Hotflash I hope everything went well today.

Good luck Chrissy 143 and Tarabeltwo.

Welcome ChrisD and Brenda3. Interesting question about the Lupron, I actually take mine in the morning. This is my first IVF but it seems like everything varys a bit from doctor to doctor and person to person.

I went in for BW today to see how my stimming drug is working and so far so good. I go in for another BW and also an US tomorrow. I'm hoping they'll also give me a sense of when everything else will happen...I'm thinking next week but so far I've found that my sense of a timeline in all of this has been way off.

Has any one had this done?

Then I begin to take Ortho with my June cycle.

Fingers crossed...
Hi Jennifer - welcome to the thread - never heard of that before - but am sure it will be worth it when you get your BFP - what exactly do they do ?

Good luck - hope it all goes well

My only complaint so far is I've had a couple of minor hot flashes. One was bad enough, though I changed what I was wearing to work one morning to something a little cooler.
Hi Chris - I too have had the hot flushes but thankfuly been at night - normally I sleep all wrapped in duvet and most mornings now it is chucked on the floor - small prie to pay for when we get our BFP's!

Question for anyone, Is there a better time of day to do the lupron injections? This is my 3rd fresh cycle and 2 FET under my belt, I have always done injection at night before bed but wondered if it would change my BFN into BFP if I changed the time of day for the injections. Any thoughts??
Hi Brenda - not sure on that one I have always taken down regging drug in morning and stimming at night as per docs instructions - can't think it can make a difference on outcome????

All the luck in the world for this cycle - sending you some sticky abby dust xxx

Hi Bell - my previous IVF - i stimmed for 9 days had follie count scan and then had ER 5 days after so 2 weeks from first stimming shot - this cycle is also the same schedule - although like everything else I think this may vary from doc to doc - may help with a rough schedule

lots of baby dust for next week coming your way xx

Hello

Welcome Newbies. Best Wishes. This board has been great for me over the last 3 weeks.

Chrissy best of luck to you, 11 out of 12 is great.

Went in yesterday for another US and had 2 eggs that were just under mature so they pushed my ER to Saturday to give them a little more time to grow. On one hand I was a little disappointed (I am so ready for the next step) but on the other hand that is 2 more shots at a baby so I can live for another 24 hours.

When my nurse was instructing me on my HCG shot yesterday (can you say big needle) she drew a big circle on my hip with a shapie so we would know where to do the shot! DH thought that was so funny he took a picture.

Good luck to everyone and in all the different steps your in processes.

Hello Everyone. I've been reading this forum for some time now and i've decided to join it since I'm starting my IVF #2. I'm starting Lupron and Provera June 18 until my AF. My ER has changed my protocol since my first failed IVF (march/april 2006). He wants to do ER on day 5 with assisted hatching b/c of my age. Also i'd like to start accupuncture. Some days I get very excited and feel like this time it's going to work and some days get very depressed. A friend of mine gave me this book it's called 'The Secret', it helps me to think positive. I hope this time it works b/c my DH doesnt want to do it again due to financial reasons. The doctors cannot find anything wrong with me, but my DH has a low sperm count and low motility.

ME = 37
DH = 40
TTC 7 years
Male Factor
IVF #1 3 embies = BFN
IVF #2 C'mon embies grab on!!!

Hello to all the newcomers. This is a very supportive place and ya'll will enjoy being on here.

I have been mia for a few days. I had my egg retreival on Tuesday and got 11 eggs. I only got around 6 my previous two cycles, so this was good news. I found out yesterday that 10 of them fertilized! I will be having a three day transfer on Friday.

Congrats on your eggs Chrissy. How sore are you? I have been very sore, it feels ok when I am still but as soon as I move around it really hurts. Do you feel this way? Not trying to scare the others, my previous retreival I had no pain at all.

How was your retrieval Hotflash?

Good luck to everyone with their stimming and retreivals.
After 7 attempts (2 negatives/3 miscarriages), we have TWO miracle boys!! If you would like to hear our story, please visit http://www.ivfsuccessstories.info. Never give up, it can happen for you!!

Hi Caroline,

I just had the procedure done and basically they just removed (like with a chees grater) a small piece of your endometrial lining. They also take 4 HUGE vials of blood that they put in this spinning machine which separates the blood from the plasma. The lab then does somehting and freezes it. Come July, when I have my IVF cycle, they take it out, take another 4 viles of blood to thaw it out with and when they fertilize my embryos in the petri dish these are the cells that are lining the dish. Rather than use generic cells they feel these will nourish better. That is pretty much it in a nutshell.

Jennifer - thanks for that - was it a painful procedure or just a bit like a smear? .. anything is worth it if it helps with the BFP x
