Fluctuating FSH levels

Post by michael55 »

I know having a high fsh is not a good sign for pregnancy success. I beleive my wifes fsh was 12 on first cycle of ivf. but when we did a cycle of iui it was lower 8 i believe. We are gearing up for another ivf(long lupron protocol) Ny information on fsh levels i would realy appreciate it(good or bad)

I've had the same past. I've had some come back high and some normal. I didnt pay that much attention but the RE said it has to do with flucuating cycles. If it was always high then that was a problem, but having some that were not was giving a good chance.

I'm in the same boat - the 5 or 6 times my FSH has been tested before, it's been great. Today I just found out this cycle is a bust because it's 11.4.

Perhaps not coincidentally, this came after 2 irregular cycles (most recent - 41 days, the one before that - 22 days). Prior to that, I've had very regular cycles of approximately 27 days.

I still need to talk to my RE (he's out today), but the nurses made it sound like this just happens sometimes. Hopefully things will go back to normal next month.
