RINNIE!! So glad you are back. We were hoping you'd turn up soon. Glad you are doing well and recovering. I bet you had a blast that wild week! So jealous. What I wouldn't give for a latte or a beer or a bottle of wine (yes, a whole one) or cheese! LOL.

Sounds like a kidney yin issue, so you need to cool down. Goat cheese will do it. Love it! I think the main reason I can't have dairy is the phelgm problem I apparently have. How's that for sexy!?

Glad you're back. We're going to have a lot of fun these next few months.

Rinnie: Welcome or welcome back I should say! Glad to have you on board! Your next AF might be right on schedule. I thought the same thing after my chemical and it is on schedule. Glad of that.
My AP told me that in China they wait 4 months after a miscarriage to try again. I'll be waiting 3 months, I think that's pretty good.

JHarris: Those prices sound pretty high to me as well. I paid $150 for initial visit and $60 for each additional, well, it's $70 but if you pay for 10 in advance, it comes to $60.
See if you can find another one in your area, perhaps in a hospital.

Coco: Sounds like you have a great AP and I'm glad you're responding well, I think it also has to do with how much you believe it will work for you. Thanks for the advice about work. I had planned on taking a week off after transfer and very light work until my beta and then slowly ease back into it. I don't want to ruin my chances.
Time to use my trampoline and jump to the May/June thread. I love that trampoline :D ! But first dinner and I'll be back.

Good morning ladies!! Hope you are having a great weekend. We are about to head to the bank to see if we can get our loan now!! So I should know later this afternoon if we are going to be able to afford it! I'm still unsure of the AP thing. Considering we are about to get aloan for the procedure, I'm not sure we will have to extra money for AP, especially as much as they cost!! There are other AP's around, but few that seem to know enough about infertility/IVF. So I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Cocos: I live very close to the city, the capital city in NC actually!! So we aren't out in the middle of nowhere to not have any AP's around. I just don't think it's that big in this state yet!

Rinnie: I'm so glad you are joining us. It's so good knowing I will be cycling with familiar ladies!! This will be OUR time!!

valerie: Thanks for the info. I wil have to see what I can find. I searched AP's all over NC yesterday, and most of them seemed pretty expensive. The reason I looked at the one I did was because they would do AP after transfer at me RE's office, which I think would be great. My RE says to go home and lie down and be on bedrest for a few days after transfer. I can't see him being okay with me making a stop at another office for Ap before heading home!

Anyway, hope you ladies enjoy your day. I am sure we should probably be getting a few other ladies join us before too long!

Jharris-Good luck today at the bank. Hope all goes well. I am NOT doing acu anymore. I did it last cycle and ended up with 3-4 eggs. I didn't do it for my first cycle and ended up with 14 eggs!
So we decided we had to cut costs somehow and somewhere. I was paying 75/visit. I think I am going to use massages for relaxation. They are the same price but more relaxing.

I am going to be doing a different protocol this cycle. I was doing menopur, bravelle and lupron last cycle. They felt that the lupron suppressed me as well.
I will be doing the flare protocol with the lower dose lupron and using follistim twice daily. The follistim is what I used first cycle.
I think we will start stims as early as July 1st, depending on AF.
Rinnie-do you think it is best to wait a cycle? I wonder if it is because my cycle didn't go to ER that they are continuing on?

I am happy I didn't have to got through the PIO shots this cycle!
Hope everybody is have a great weekend. I am off to my niece and nephews 1st bday party!

Hi Ladies! I'm so happy this thread was started. I was feeling like I didn't quiet belong anywhere. I was on the May/June thread for a short time, but I never made it to transfer, then I just kind of laid low for awhile. Anyway, I really have no idea when my cycle will begin because I haven't even had my follow up appt with RE yet - it is this Wed. The labs at my clinic are closed for one month and I think it goes into July, or may even be all of July, I'm not sure.

I started AP last week and herbs this week. My AP wanted me to go twice per week, but I'm alternating twice with once per week due to costs. Between my consult, and the herbs and dietary supplements I have already spent approx. $800! My AP didn't think I should change my diet, just add certain foods in (and the supplements like flax oil, probiotics....). I'm taking like 4 dif. herbs - they are supposed to help with my liver function and blood flow to all organs. I've known for a long time that I have a condition with my liver, but in the recent years it has progressed significantly. I need to get medical treatment for it, but the treatment is lengthy and causes birth defects, so you can see my dilema.

Well, it's good to see some of the old names from the May/June like Rinnie, Cocosmamma, JHarris, and whoever else I may have missed!

I'm ready for this crazy rollercoaster to get started again! At least with the AP I do feel like I'm doing something to move towards the goal.

Hello girls and welcome hopinginpa and JDC !! Glad more of you joined us. :D

I was on the April/May thread but had a chemical. Then I crashed to the May/June thread to see how some of you were doing and now here we are!

hoping : If your RE thought it was ok to start so soon afterwards, it must be ok, as long as YOU feel ready physically and mentally.
You know, sometimes cycles vary greatly from one to the other and may have nothing to do with the AP. Massages sound wonderful and I think that's a good idea. This cycle will work out much better. I produced 4 folies and the 4th one was waaaaay behind but ended up with 2 eggs. This time, I know I'll have more, I'm shooting for 5 or 6 from my one ovary.
I hope you enjoy your niece and nephew bday party. Iknow it's hard to live through all that and see other kids, it just squeeze your heart.
I was doing some shopping this morning at Costco and there were babies, little children and pregnant women everywhere. I told DH that just hurts, sometimes I just want to cry.

jharris: Sounds like you've done your research about AP and maybe it's not that widespread in NC yet especially when specializing in IVF.
Good luck and i really hope you got your loan.

I'm having problems with the bold typing..I don't know why...I'll have to figure that out.

But ladies, this thread is going to be incredibly positive and let's break all the BFPs records...We can do it...but Home Depot can't help us !

Have a wonderful day!

Hi Hoping & JDC...nice to see you over here. This'll be great!!

Hoping How do you feel? My TCM doctor just thinks it takes a cycle to get all the meds out & get the hormones balanced again. Balanced hormones is key because that's what affects how your body reacts to stims.
Sounds like the change of protocol affected the cycle more than the AP...that usually helps quality not quantity. I had the same number of eggs when I did AP, but the quality was much much better. But the flare will give you a lot more eggs, it really gives you a kick in the pants to start. You'll get a ton! :)

JHarris12 Can't wait to hear about the loan....fingers and toes are crossed !! If worst comes to worst & you feel like you can't afford a lot of AP it's also really beneficial to have around the time of ET. If you had it before, then a couple more times in the week following it would help calm the uterus and allow the embryo to implant. You can also ask the TCM doctor about herbs to balance your system...they're cheaper than the AP & better than nothing.

Valerie Yes...my doctor even said that...it's hard right now for women without kids because it's a bit of a boom...everybody's having them..... & so will we !!!! I always think the waiting is good...the body just needs to balance out again.

JDCSo glad you're doing the TCM....it will really help with your issue & you don't want to risk the medication with those risks. You'll find it'll make you feel so much better too.

Hiya Ladies! It is so comforting to see all the familiar names over here! I'm sorry that we all have to go through this again--but am happy to have your support.

I really want to start again immediately--but my Doc insists on a 2-month break after my BFN. He says my ovaries need time to heal as the whole process is very traumatic for them. So I will be starting BFPs in August and stimming in September. It seems so far off! I just hate all the waiting around and wondering and worrying. And I'm not getting any younger! I hope that I can be patient and use this break to get myself togther. I really just want to be a Mum NOW!

JHarris--please do let us know how things go at the bank. This process is grueling enough without money worries on top. I am thinking of you!

SueQiwi Welcome to the other side as Jharris says :)
Your Doc is right, it's a lot of trauma to put your body through. My TCM doctor says that the first & 2nd months after, the ovaries are very likely to get cysts, so your cycle might be canceled anyway.
Just get healthy so you're ready to go.

Rinnie- I know you are right, the change of meds is what affected this cycle. I probably will end up back at acu, just not as frequently. I think my RE is letting me start back right away since I didn't do an ET. My sil was in the same boat. She was using the menopur with poor results and her RE just stopped it, put her on BCP and started follistim a couple of weeks later.

Welcome SueQuwi! It is nice to see so many familiar names. Our REs know what is best for us and our bodies. It is hard to give them the control...well it is for me :)

Jharris-thinking about you!

JDC-
my lab closes for 2 weeks in July. I have to go on BCP while it is closed and cleaned. I do appreciate their cleanliness!

Cocosmomma- hope you are doing well! With your AP diet, can you not have wine? I am on that same diet, no cold liquids, raw veggies.....I am having a hard time with the lack of fruit. I have been cheating on that but enjoy a cup of decaf tea with meals!

Good morning ladies!! Sorry I didn't get back on yesterday. After we left the bank yesterday, we came home long enough to get ready and then headed to my in-laws. Me and the DH took his dad and my dad out to eat last night for Fathers Day. So we were out a little late. As for the loan, the loan officer was actually not there like they said would be. But we were able to give them all of our information, and they filled out the application. And the loan officer should call me tomorrow or Tuesday to let me know something. Our credit scores are pretty good, so hopefully we won't have any problems. I will keep you posted! Thank you all for your well wishes!!

Glad to see all these familiar names joining us!! Welcome over hopinginpa, JDC, and SueQiwi!! Sounds like we are all getting ready to try again! And it sounds like we will most likely all be using different protocols from the first try. So hopefully the new method will bring positive results for us all! Can't wait to go through this with some familiar names!

Valerie, Rinnie, Cocos, hope you ladies had a great weekend. I'm thinking about you all. I have a really good feeling about this cycle for all of us! :D

Hi everyone! Sorry I have been MIA. I was out of town this weekend with limited Internet access. So let me catch up!

HopinginPA: Welcome!! So glad you've joined us over here. Yes, my new diet calls for no alcohol and no caffeine. I have had 3 beers and 1 glass of wine since I've started though. But I didn't finish any of them. I figure allowing myself a little bit of something I am craving is better than getting myself all worked up about it. The anxiety is more damaging, I think.

JHarris: Good luck with the loan. I am sure it will be fine. But keep us posted.

JDC: Welcome! I am glad we are all doing this together. It helps so much to have the support of these incredible women.

Sue: I went from one cycle to the next at the end of last year and then with only one month wait in between this spring. I wish I had waited. It takes such a long time for the drugs to get out of your system and I am convinced it makes a huge difference. I know I will feel incredible when I start again. The two months will fly! I keep telling myself that in the grand scheme of things, 2 months isn't that long to wait when you will have the rest of your life with your kids.

I hope everyone had a restful weekend. You, too, Val and Rinnie!

Hello everyone. Hope you had a wonderful, relaxing weekend with your families.

SueQiwi: Welcome to our thread. I'm sorry about your BFN and I know it takes time to get over it. Tears can really wash away our sorrow and I think it's healthy to do that.
And the two month wait is the right thing to do. I feel incredible today for the first time in I don't know how long. I feel the meds finally are leaving my body and I know I need this rest to be stronger when we start again. I know it seems like forever to wait another 2 months but you won't regret it.
We plan on getting BFPs left and right on this thread and you'll be one of them.

jharris: Any news from the bank? I know you'll get your loan and you'll be able to proceed as planned.

JDC: How's AP going for you? Don't you also feel that it helps you a lot. I know I look forward to it every time. My AP will be away for a few days and I will only be able to go once this week and I feel so disappointed.

hopinginpa: Il'll be doing Bravelle and Menopur as well but without the Lupron.
How did the B-Day party go? Hopefully not too painful for you.

Coco: hope all is well with you....waiting waiting waiting just like all of us :D today was a killer here...sooooo hot and humid, I thought I was going to die. But I made it through the day. Must be the same at your house !!

Rinnie: How are you feeling? I hope you're starting to feel better and better!

Well, I gotta go. Time to cook dinner and eat lots of healthy food !

Valerie68: I also look forward to my ap visits - this week I only have one visit and it just seems like too much time is passing before I get to go in. I feel so much more centered than I used to.

JHarris: I hope you get that loan!

SueQiwi: Welcome! I know that feeling of wanting to do everything we can to become a mom right now. It has been a little over 3 weeks now since my cycle was canceled prior to ET, and I think I'm just starting to feel better emotionally, spiritually, and physically. At this point I am able to see the importance of that 2 month interval, but before I wasn't. I didn't want to deal with the disappointment and my other emotions - I just wanted to move forward and get what I wanted! I'm using this opportunity to get my body and mind in the best possible condition I can.

As my acupuncurist says, we must "fertilize the soil"

Cocosmamma and hopinginpa good luck with those diets! It doesn't sound easy.
