Glad to hear everything is a-oh-kay! My thyroid levels are low too so I've been on synthroid since starting fertility treatment. They say its good for promoting nueral development & preventing miscarriage. So hopefully that's a plus for you too! Keep us posted. Hey- how's the weather down there? we've been having a heat wave in New England. But this weekend will be in the mid 70's-80's F.

Hi girls, well doctor called about my test results and says they are all suprisingly excellent numbers for my age. I feel relieved. I am on cycle day 8 and will start OPKs tomorrow. Now should I do 2 a day like in the a.m. and then another around 2 p.m.? And do any one of you know what is the best OPK brand? Well I should be getting my little swimmers tomorrow in case I ovulate early but I have an ultrasound on Monday day 12 to check follies. I am hoping they are ready and do an HCG on Monday then inseminate on Tuesday. Now I only have 1 vial this month so should I inseminate at 24 or 36 post HCG?

That all sounds great... your numbers are normal, swimmers arrive shortly, starting OPK soon.

Personally I always did one test strip in the a.m. and around dinner (or atleast before your clinic closes, so you can call if you test positive) And i used the Answer brand because you get like 20 test strips for the same price as the week long OPK. But when I got a faint line for ovulation I'd double check with a better brand. Does that make sense?

Also, I was going to ask about HcG, so i'm glad to hear you'll be doing that. And as far as IUI goes- your clinic should know best. The good news is sperm can last for like a week. So a few hours won't matter for the sperm, but a few hours may matter for your egg.

Ok I have no idea what a OPK is? I'm guessing something to do with ovulation? My clinic did blood tests everyday before my iui so I have never used them. Thats great that your numbers are looking good. How many follies do you have? With the HCG I triggered 36 hours before my iui was done. Although your clinic will know what is best for you to do. My clinic says you have a 36 hour window for the egg and the sperm to have a good chance of connecting. Its just if the little bugger sticks I think is half the problem!!! Anyway girl you will be fine and keep thinking postive!!

Kery you are too funny. LOL OPK is Ovulation Predictor Kit. I think I will do 24 or 28 I think I ovulate between 24 and 36 hours not any time before the 24. On Mays cycle when I ovulated we did the HCG at around 5:30 then the next day was Saturday and at about 5:00 p.m on Saturday I still felt ovulation pain till about 9 then went to bed and when I woke up at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday there were no pains anymore and my temp shot straight up. So I am thinking I ovulated sometime between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. I think I will just have DP check my cervix on several times on Tuesday and tuesday night to see if cervix is open then maybe inseminate at 28 hours post HCG. I feel safe with that timing.

Not hopeless, I bought the Answer and there are much more strips than the other brands. I tested this morning at 8:00 a.m. and will test again at 2:00 or 4:00 p.m. I just don't want to miss it if I ovulate early. I am using frozen sperm so it is only good for like 12 to 24 hours not a week. I wish I could find a fresh donor that would even more better my chances. Well girls lets see what the weekend has in store for us and hope you all have a great weekend. I will update you all on Monday.

Hi girls, just wanted to give you an update. I went to my RE appt yesterday and I have 3 foliles Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!! it was cycle day 12 and follies were 10, 12 and 14. He wants me to keep doing OPKs and if all negative on Friday then come in at 9:45 to see what follies are doing and we are hoping that the 10 and 12 follie caught up to the 14 and all three will be ready on Friday and do HCG and inseminate on Saturday. WooHoo I feel good about this one girls. How are you doing Kery and Not Hopeless?

Well today is cycle day 14 and OPK is negative so far. I feel lots of ovulation cramping so I hope all three follies get mature enough to release. We shall see. Thanks girls for all the good wishes. Come on follies do your job!!!!!!!!!!

Hi ladies, well cycle day 16 and still negative OPK. I have an appt for ultrasound at 4:00 so wish me luck that all three follies are ready and we can do HCG and inseminate at 24 or 36 post HCG. I will give update when I get back from the doctor.

Hi girls, went to RE yesterday at 4:00 and eggs are 23, 22 and 15 all ready to fertilize. So we did HCG at 6:00 p.m. and will insemination this evening at 6:00. Wish me luck and send me lots of baby dust. I cant believe it 3 eggs. That is the most I have had ever. I guess the herbs and acupuncture is working.

Thanks Kary, everything went well. Did insemination at 6:00 and took a nap with hips elevated until 7:30. I have a little bit of cramping did that happen with you? Officially on TWW
