Tasha- hi there... i've been trying to get on all day to wish Aubrey a HAPPY BIRTHDAY.... i can not believe that we were having or had our babies a year ago... time is going by so quick... glad to hear that aubrey was well taken care of.. how was she with the cake? we are going on thursday to get the pictures done at celeb kids... glad that they were good.. have a GREAT vacation.. enjoy yourselves

Kim- i wanted to tell you that we went to put the hat on for his party and it was too small, i do not know if his head grew that much... i had a little laugh and thougfht of you..

we had our party on Sunday... and DH has been sick, 4YO DS was sick, 7YO DS was sick.... AND THE BIRTHDAY BOY WAS SICK... he had a fever and a cold, with boogers and all... he was totally miserable all weekend and especially his party... i ended up with a migraine in the middle of the party and threw up... so all in all, not the best party for us, but everyone else had a great time, and ate so much food, that we had no left-overs.. and after a breif T-storm, the weather was nice, and warm... not like today... it's reallly cold 42 degrees... i made a "smash cake" (i'll have to post some photos..) and he touched it, and that's all... he was mostly crying and wanted ONLY me... so he didn't get to visit too much.. he got so many big outside toys and pool toys for our pool... and thank goodness for savings bonds...

well, hope that everyone is good... i'll post some photos when i get a second.... take care

Hi gals!

sorry I haven't been on...I didn't get notified and well, I still think it's last week--seriously--time is flying by on me! Why? Oh yeah, birthday to plan, report cards to do....arrggghhhh!

Colleen and Tasha--Happy Birthday to your babies! Yeah! I can't believe it! Tasha--I'm glad Aubrey's party went so well. I'm sure i"ll be crying when it's my turn. Colleen--SO SORRY to hear that just about all of you were sick. Poor Gavin. That's funny about the hat. We just have big brains, huh? I will have to check out pics later. Man, I can't believe it's been a year!

CasyP--glad to hear that Joshua is doing well. He's a big guy! Wow! I'm sure he'll love the new car seat. Mine did. Good luck with the work/daycare situation. I know it's tough, but things will work out.

I'm holding on barely over here--with school winding down there's lots to do. BUT, I am SO ready for work to be done. I can't wait to be on vacation for the summer. I can finally realize what it's like to be a stay at home mommy! Ellie's walking more and more--I tell her "sweetie, stop drinking the booze!" cause she's wobbling so much!  Braeden somehow got past a baby gate yesterday and climbed ALL the stairs while I was changing Ellie! I should have known he was up to something because he was so quiet. His face was priceless though--he looked so proud of himself, like he'd just conquered Mt. Everest! Needless to say, the gate has been triple checked, so we shouldn't have that happen again. Let's hope. Mommy nearly had a heart attack!

Gotta run! Have a good night!

hi there girls... we are doing ok... Gavin is still getting over his cold from his b-day.. hoping that all the babies are staying healthy... there are a few more b-day coming soon... how are you moms handeling it?

gavin had his one year check up...got three shots including the MMR (the one in the news about autism) i was scared, and worried... but he got the shot in the end. he was only 22lbs 6oz and 32inches... i guess now that he is walking about, his weight is not so heavy... also the fact that he does not eat any food (other then baby food and pretzels) doc said that if he is still gaging and throwing up on food in the next few months we'll have too see a speech therapist (they deal with the tounges and swallowing) weird to me... other then that, doing good..

nicola- good luck on the party... i hear you on the cost.. we had Gavin's party, then my 7YO had a kid party ( that was $250.00) we were shocked at that bill... wait till the party, then you'll have SO many toys you will not know what to do with them... good luck on the planning..

Kim- is your party this weekend?? then again i think that you said it's next weekend... hard to keep all my dates from getting mixed up... they are getting into the most trouble when you can not hear them... glad that he did not fall... i can imagine his face... glad that ellie is getting around.. we've been outside the last few days, and gavin does not do as well with shoes, so his knees are all scraped up... poor kiddo... and still has a cough and snots...

casy-did you get your cooker? hows all the house stuff going?? hope that it's coming along fast... glad to hear that Joshua is getting big.. we got to turn Gavin around facing forward in the car.. so much better... good luck on the nursing and sounds like the nursery will be nice attached to the hosptial...

well, hope that everyone has a good week, and take care

Hey colleen!

Glad your appt went well. I know what you mean about the MMR. That shot freaks me out. Even though I know there's no solid evidence about the link--you just can't help but worry. Our doc gives it at the 15 month appt, so I have a little time left.

Our party IS next weekend. I've ordered the cakes, got their hats and outfits, and now I just need to clean my house and deal with food. ArRRGGGHH! I just pray the weather is nice...our house is too small for all that company.

Oh, on the shoes thing....my kiddos are really good with soft soled ones (like Robeez), but now that Ellie's walking, she rips off any shoes with soles. I put a precious pair of sandals on her yesterday and it literally took her 30 seconds to rip them off! So, we're going without shoes for a while. Maybe I"ll try again in a few days.....ugh.

Ive gotta run, tornado sirens just went off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

kim- hope that you avoided the storms ... we had rain and wind come last night and this am, but now we are just hot and humid... good luck on getting the food and cleaning, i'll be wishing for good weather for you guys.. i found a pair of shoes that he can not get off.. so i'm hoping that he'll get used to them.. otherwise we are out playing and his poor little feet, they are so soft and clean, to walk on the patio, mulch and drive... not so nice.

we just got back from the doc's and Gavin has a double ear infection... no wonder he was up for hours crying and would not stop... he was a mess this morning... so he's on antibiotics... hopfully he'll be feeling better soon.

hope that everyone else is well, and take care]

Hey Colleen--yeah, we did manage to avoid any tornadoes...thank GOD! It's seriously been wacky weather here for the past two weeks. We've had seriously loud thunderstorms and several tornado warnings. I hope things settle down soon. I think the weather's going to be okay for our PARTY  on Saturday!

I've posted our one year pics on the bucket! Hope you can check them out!

kim- how was the party?? did you manage to have nice weather?? how were the kiddos? did you get way too much stuff to fit in your house?? are you done with work?? is your class packed up and everything?

you pictures are wonderful.. you have such a nice looking family!! we are going for our family photos next wednesday.. we'll have to see how these turn out, as his one year ones were not the best... we did not have a great experience with celebrity kids...oh well... we are trying a private one this time... friend of a freind type of thing..

well Gavin got a measles rash from the shot... REALLY bad and fever and everything... poor boy has not had a break.. colds ear infections, now this... the doc was surprised that he broke out so bad... but them my mom tells me i was the same way..so many cool baths and benadryl and tylenol... so we've had that for a week now and just slowly getting better...

hope that everyone else is well...

Colleen--so sorry to hear about Gavin! Yikes! Was this from the MMR shot? We don't get ours until 15 months....I hope he feels better soon. Poor fella....

Our party went great! I'll have to post pics soon. The weather was nice (a little hot) and we had about 25 people. Perfect for us. The kids got a TON of outdoor stuff, which was just what we needed! Yeah! Braeden was a pro at smashing his cake, but Ellie didn't like how it felt...she's funny about textures.

I'm busy packing for a trip to Lake ERie tomorrow, but I"ll try to post some pics when I get back!

Hope everyone is doing great!

Good Morning Girls and Happy Tuesday.... once again I have been MIA - I don't get any notifications anymore.... and if I don't get a notification these days my mind is usually busy doing something else. I'm so sorry....

First off - Happy Belated Birthday's to Gavin, Ellie, Braeden & Makayla - I hope all your little ones had a wonderful 1st B-Day!!!!!

Colleen - I'm so sorry to hear that Gavin was sick for his B-Day Party.... sounds like the little guy has had it pretty rough the last few weeks... hopefully he is getting better now. How did his pictures turn out at Celebrity Kids? I just picked Aubrey's up last week.... they are amazing - they did such a great job. Thank you for recommending them!

Nicola - I'm so glad to hear that Jack is doing so well...

Kim - your pictures are adorable... you have a great looking family. I'm glad that their party turned out great for you... I can't believe our little ones are 1 already - time just went by way to fast.

As for the rest of you... I hope that you and your families are doing well - check in with us when you can.

We're doing well... Vacation was wonderful - however, because we ran around so much it didn't really feel like a vacation.... Now we're trying to enjoy our summer - however, the day we got back from vacation I dislocated my knee so I'm now wearing this wonderful leg brace - talk about funky tan lines! Well I'll try and post some new pictures of Aubrey very soon...

Have a great day!
Tasha

Hey girls!

Thanks for the b-day wishes....we just got back into town. We went on a little vacay to Lake Erie. I'm not sure how relaxing it was for me, but the kids enjoyed it!

TAsha--so sorry to hear about your knee--bummer! I hope it heals up soon. I can't imagine dealing with a toddler and a bum knee. Hang in there!

Happy Belated Birthday to Makayla!

We're doing okay here. Ellie's walking everywhere, but Braeden still hasn't even tried. When I have him try to push a walking toy, he does it on his knees! The pedi is not concerned, but I'm starting to wonder....Oh, and Ellie is SO CLINGY right now! It's driving me nutz....I can't pee without her screaming for me. ANy advice?

Hope you all are well! I'll try to post b-day pics on the bucket later today.

hi there girls... hope that everyone is doing well... since the kids are off school i can't find much time... it's fun, we've been outside almost everyday and Gavin LOVES the pool... thank goodness... otherwise the other two would be disappointed that they couldn't swim as much...

Gavin has also been sleeping through the last few days... hope that it sticks.. and we are down to only one nursing a day, and that will be gone in a couple weeks... my goal is by the end of July... that's the age when the other two were off bottles so he can be off the BB.. we found what he likes... vanilla milk.... crazy, but when he was sick he lost 2 1/2 lbs so they said to give him pedasure ($10.00 for 6 little bottles), but he loved it and it was the first time that he took a whole sippy cup.... so we hunted and DH found vanilla milk, and he sucks it down... so we started to drop one nursing session at a time... and here we are... i'll keep the night time one a little longer, just cuz i like the bond... but by the end off the month.

Kim- are you now on break... hope that you are enjoying you time... Gavin is also SUPER clingy... he only wants me, not even DH.. if i walk away he cries...hope that ends soon... do not worry about Braeden.. my 4YO DS did walk till he was 15 months... now he's running around like crazy, and even rode a bike without training wheels at 3YO...maybe he's just stubborn?? does he walk holding you hand? if he does there is a trick to get him to walk on his own....

tasha- hope that youe knee is doing better... i can imagine the wonderful tan lines... we did go to celebrity kids for his one year... i did not have a very good experience... her flash broke 1/2 through and she didn't know it till she pulled up the photos... so there were none without props and no closeups.... there we a couple of good ones, but not exactly what i was looking for, and none of the ones without props turned out... she offered to reshoot a few, but Gavin was so NOT up for that... so i do not think that'd at this point i'd go back... we'll see... altho she did say that they were going to do some on location shots... that would be cool at some of the parks...

hope htat everyone is doing well... and enjoying summer

Hi girls!

Hope everyone's well...

Thought I'd check in.

colleen--have you wrapped up nursing? Is Gavin sleeping through the night still? I hope so!!!!

Tasha--are you all healed up? I hope everything's back to shape for you. I saw Pam last weekend! She came to town and we took the kids swimming. Fun!

Braeden started walking last week! Yeah! He still tumbles and crawls when he really wants to get there, but he's made a lot of progress. We've been so busy this summer...going to the park, traveling to Lake Erie (they both LOVE to swim and play in the sand), and trying not to get TOO hot.

I wanted to ask you all...what kinds of activities are you "doing" with your little ones these days? Now that I'm home all summer, I feel like I'm in a rutt. I'm sure there are things I should be doing, so I thought I'd see what you gals were doing...any fun games or activities that are good for 13 month olds? (Besides reading books, playing with our usual toys...) I seriously get bored easily. Help me mix it up!
