Hi everyone. I'm happy to say I can now join the 2ww thread :) I had a 3dt today and we transferred 2 beautiful perfect 8cell embryos. We're totally ecstatic and so ready to get our BFP!! My beta is on 6/29, so just 1 1/2 weeks from now.

This is my 3rd ivf. The first one was a bfn, and the two week window went by a lot quicker because I pretty much knew that it didn't work. The second one was a bfp (ended in miscarrage) but I had started back teaching during the 2ww. This time I have nothing to do and am not really allowed to do anything fun. I transferred 3 really good qualtiy 8 celled embryos on day 3. I feel very good about it, but then I get worried if I am being too optimistic.

angram- congrats on the great transfer, good luck with everything.

hrobinson- thanks for the welcome. What symptoms are you having? Starting 3dpt I have been feeling sick to my stomach, and I have every day since then. I have been thinking that it was the progesterone, but I did not have this the first two cycles. My bb's are also very sore, but this started before the transfer. I know it is just the pio. My test date is scheduled for the 27th, but I go in every Mon, Wed, Fri so I could end up finding out before then.
After 7 attempts (2 negatives/3 miscarriages), we have TWO miracle boys!! If you would like to hear our story, please visit http://www.ivfsuccessstories.info. Never give up, it can happen for you!!

Brit- I am almost jealous of you that you get to go in so often to have bloods drawn. That would be great if you found out early.
What made you "know" that the first cycle didn't work?
This is my 3rd cycle. The first one resulted in a BFP and I have a beautiful daughter to show for it. The second one was a BFN which I knew immediately didn't work. This one I just don't know.
This is actually the first morning that I am not feeling really optimistic. I feel like AF is lurking around the corner.
This will be our last shot at this. We are just grateful that God provided us with our miracle daughter. So.....
I too am a teacher :D What do you teach? I have been a third gade teacher the past 2 years, and I just got bumped up to 4th for next year. Not exactly what I wanted but.....
I hope you can find something to do to keep your mind occupied, and stay busy in the next 8 days.

Welcome ANGRAM!!! The quality of your embryos sounds fabulous...hopefully they are settling in nicely. Now, will you POAS before the 29th?

Crescendo- I am still so excited for you. Are you guys thinking that both embies made it? With you getting your + so early it almost makes me want to do a test. However, I am going to hold out until Saturday morning when my clinic said I could do it.

hrobinson - I'm happy to hear your first IVF worked and you were blessed with a beautiful daughter, I hope she gets a brother or sister very soon :) I think any symptom I had my first round was from the progesterone, so I have no idea what to expect this time around. I'm a POAS queen, or I was during all of my IUI's, but my DH really doesn't want us to during IVF. I didn't POAS the first time around, but AF came early, and beta proved to be a BFN. I'm not sure if I'll do it this time or not, guess it depends on how long the next 10 days go :)

brit1612 - Congrats on the transfer of 3 perfect embies, I'm so jealous :) I really wanted to transfer 3 as well, but RE, embryologist and especially DH were against it. My DH is so worried about having triplets, but at this point I'll take anything :) There's no such thing as being too optimistic, so keep up the PMA!!

crescendo97 - Congrats on the BFP!!

hrobinson- it is nice that I get to go in a lot, but since my doc gives the booster shots it is hard to tell anything. Last cycle he gave me a booster right before my beta and I ended up having to way until three days past my original date! The first cycle was just a bust. I did not respond to the meds at first, then he increased them a lot to get me to respond. Then on the day of the transfer we were told that our embryos were only 3 and 5 cell on day 3. We knew by the doc's expressions that he did not think it could work. What happened on your second cycle?
I am a tenth grade geometry teacher. I will be going into my 3rd year. It seems like there are many teachers that have to go through this.

angram- I am a little worried about having three, but after everything that we have been through I will take anything I can get. I would actually really like to have twins. My doc said that he would normally transfer two of that quality but he just wanted to make sure that we got pregnant, since this is our third go at it. Is this your first ivf?

Brit- wow 10th grade, I admire anyone who teaches those older kids. My dh is also a teacher...does 10th grade World History. He absolutely loves it.

I know what you mean by it seems like a lot of teachers have fertility problems. wonder if there is some medical reason for this. Might be interesting to see if any research has been done on this.

My last cycle was just horrible from the get go. I have SEVERE endo, and the dr. hadn't even wanted me to start the cycle. However, I insisted. well, I responded really well to the meds (which is where the endo interferes). However, when they went in to do the transfer, they found a polyp blocking my uterine opening. While they managed to get past it, within four hours I was doubled over cramping and crying. so, it was just a gut instinct.

So, we are just praying that this is our time again. It worked once, surely it can work again.

Are any of you guys having any "symptoms"? My boobs have been pretty sore, I have headaches off and on, and my back is pretty sore. However, today I am also having AF cramping so...

Angram- You sound like such a happy, positive person. i hope this cycle works for you. I have read a little of you from your "study' board. I can't remember...are you from Texas?

brit1612 - This is my 2nd cycle, and my first seemed to go a bit like yours. We were in a gonal f long lasting study, and my RE was not allowed to give me more than 150iu's per day, which obviously was not enough for my age. We only had 2 eggs fertiliize and they both made it to 3dt, but they were 5 and 4 cell and not good quality. It ended in a BFN. We're also hoping for twins this time around, but my RE is totally against multiples and does all he can to get one healthy baby per pregnancy. DH doesn't ever want to go through this again, and I want multiple children, so we're hoping for twins :) Good luck to you, we test just 2 days apart!

hrobinson - I'm praying for you as well, 3rd time is a charm! I'm only on day 2 and the only symptoms I'm having is some cramping near my left ovary, but I think it's been cramping off and on since ER. Yep, I'm from Texas and live in Austin. Where are you?

Angram- I am actually in North Central Texas near Wichita Falls. However, my IVF clinic is in San Antonio.
DH and I lived in Wimberley (South of you) for about a year. It is so pretty down there.
Can I ask what dr. you are using down there? When we first moved to Wimberley, I was seeing a dr. Vaughn in Austin.

Dakota - I'm cracking up reading your post, although it really shouldn't be that funny. I had 9 IUI's and POAS every single time and it never failed, AF showed up within minutes of the freaking test! I didn't POAS last time, so we'll see how long I can hold off this time around :)

angram- I did talk myself into POAS before BETA Monday because I'll be at work when I get "the call" so I need to have some bearings. I dont want to have a break down at work. I'd rather have one Sunday while I'm home. The bad part is if I buy them buggers they are going to be sitting in the darn cabinet calling my name.

I haven't bought any HPT's yet, so if I decide to do it I'll actually have to drive to the store :) My beta is on a Sunday, so I'm pretty lucky that way I guess. Best of luck to you!!!
