What were the sex of your twins?

Post by stephjim »

I was just curious what the sex of everyone's twins were. My husband and I were talking and the doc predicted one to be a girl but we will find out next week. I have been trying to find a website that has like statistics on it. I was guessing the majority of them were either girl/girl or boy/girl because in fertility they are picking sperm and placing it in for either insemination or putting it into the egg for invitro and the girl sperm are the faster swimmers.

So my question is what were the sex of your twins or even triplets?

LOL...Your doc predicted one to be a girl? He has a 75% chance of being right. 50% of IVF tiwins are boy/girl, 25% boy/boy, 25% girl/girl.

We are having boy/girl.

Actually, I think boy sperm are the faster swimmers but girl sperm are stronger and can survive longer. Thus women who get pregnant closer to ovulation usually have a boy.

But, I am preggers with 2 girls! They are fraternal (only a 10% chance they are identical). We did ICSI and transfered at 3 days. We wanted a boy/girl combo but now we are happy with our girls.

We are 100% sure ours are identical and they are girls! At 14 weeks they predicted boys, but every scan since I ask and every tech has said absolutely girls.
