pineapple and IVF

Post by smiles2IVF »

Ok so I'm doing my ER on aug 15 and my Inplant on Aug18- I have read that eating pineapple is a good thing to do...Does anyone have in thoughts about that? Why pineapple? Anything else I should do or eat? Please I want this to work so bad

Hello

I know exactually how you feel, I read further down on this website about eating pineapple and figured it could not hurt. My Dr is not really buying this but he said it would not hurt me as long as I did not go over board. Other postings say that eating the core is the most nutrient part because it contains a nutrient I believe called bromine (not sure of the spelling). I have also read that strawberries also contain this. I have absolutley no basis for this being true but it does not hurt and like you I would also do anything for this to work. I would look further down the message board for more info. Best of luck to you.

I ate pineapple with both of my cycles and got pregnant both times. of course, it may have not been related at all, but its worth a try. The trick is to buy fresh pinapple and make sure you eat the core because the bromelin is concentrated in the core. Good luck!

I guess the bromelin (however you spell it) in the pineapple core is supposed to make the uterus lining more sticky or receptive to the embryos sticking. I also read that brazil nuts have that same ingredient and can help to...I ate them both during the 2ww my first cycle and I have a ds now so it couldn't have hurt...Good luck!
