brit1612: thanks for the advice on the Milk of Mag, it did help.

I am so scared I am very bloated and want to cry I am afraid I have OHSS. I keep telling my DH and RE and they are like ok. I could hardly sleep last night. I could not turn over in bed with out moving the ocean. I have been drinking lots of Powerade. I am suppose to go in for transfer in the am and I have mixed emotions about it. I am excited but if I have OHSS could I lose the embies? Oh by the way 7 of the 14 fertilized normal?!? I am having two transfered and hopefully the others in freezer.

I so want things to work(DUH)...trying to stay positive.. thanks so much for the encouraging words. But have you really heard of any case where things turned around after no response from 6 days of stimming?

RS - Is this your first cycle? They might have over-suppressed you. That is what happened on my first cycle. Now with this cycle I am not suppressed enough so I have to stay on Lupron another week. I know it is all just frustrating. Keep PMA and it could be that this cycle might be canceled but next cycle they will know more of what to do. Good luck, maybe they will just up your stim meds and you will have better results in a couple of days.

Hey Girls, Well not so good news. Of the 6 eggs, three fertilized normal, one fertilized abnormal, one fell apart and one didn't fertilize. So I lost 50% in 1 day. I know I only need one but it is still hard to hear that you lost half your eggs. I hope when she calls tomorrow things are better. She will also give me a time for transfer on Sunday.

I didn't sleep hardly at all last night. I am glad she called early so at least I know.

rs I am sorry you are not responding well. I didn't last time and they had to put me on a different protocol. Saying you are not going to cry is a hard promise to keep. We are on a lot of hormones. Is this your first cycle? What amount of FSH are you on? I am surprised they waited until day 6 to scan you. Hope things work out for you.

jcurlygirl I hope you don't have OHSS. Eat a lot of salty food from what I hear. Glad 7 of yours fertilized. You lost half but at least you still have a lot to work with. Good Luck!!!

Thank you ladies, you are so strong and positive!
This is my first IVF but I have had earlier cycles of failed IUIs with FSH shots, thats how they knew that I do not respond well. This time I took 350IU for 6 days. I just hope things turn around, and if not, then I hope I get a better cycle next time. Thanks for all the kind words...

Hi all,
Thanks for all the support from everyone. They never really told us how the second sample went, all my doctor said was that she thought they used everything, frozen included, and it resulted in 11 embryos so it must’ve worked.

I went in for my transfer yesterday. I think they gave me my valium too soon and it had worn off by the time I went in for the transfer, and I drank way too much water. That’s all I’ll say about my transfer because I don't want to worry other people.

Turtle I’m glad everything went well with the retrieval. I’m taking doxycline too, mine is two times daily too but I take one in the afternoon and one in the evening. I don’t know how yours is though, call your dr. if you’re concerned, better to err on the side of caution. Remember you just need one egg!! Keep your chin up!

Welcome Venus25, I’m sure things will go much better this time around. This group is really supportive.

Brit1612, during my 2WW I do progesterone shots. I’m also on a 5 day cycle of doxicycline.

To_have_fun, I’m sorry they pushed you back a week, but like you said, maybe it’ll work out for the best.

AdsGirl, welcome to the June/July thread. Honestly, I didn’t even feel the trigger shot. I know the needle is HUGE, but I didn’t feel it. In fact, I kept asking DH if he had really put the needle in. About an hour later the muscle hurt, and it was sore for a couple of days, but the actual moment of the shot was much less painful than I thought it would be.

I’m glad everything went well with your retrieval jcurlygirl. I have a friend who had OHSS but her symptoms didn’t get really bad until after her transfer. She got pregnant and apparently pregnancy exacerbates the symptoms. BUT, looking back, she thinks she started exhibiting symptoms after her retrieval. She also had to just kept talking to her doctor and finally they diagnosed it so that's what you should keep doing.

Tarabeltwo, I hope you start to feel better. At least your doctor is offering you suggestions to help out with the pain. Good luck with your bedrest and I have my pregnancy test on July 1 too!

Welcome Jiferlea, this is a wonderfully supportive group.

Good luck Wishfull!

Oh rs :( I’m so sorry.

Here's the last updated list I could find, but I don't think it's really updated, especially with all of the newbies. You just hit quote and add in your informaiton.

rs- I am so sorry to hear about your response to the meds. I did not respond well to me first round either, and I was over surpressed as well. They might increase your meds and try to get a response out of you that way.

turtle- try not to get too down, you still have plenty of eggs to make a baby! Good luck and I hope everything goes well.

jcurlygirl- I hate to hear that you may have ohss, but I think it is something that you just have to make it through. I don't think that it hurts your chances of getting pregnant. Hope you get to feeling better.

Hope everyone is doing well. I am just trying to get through this 2ww.[/quote]

Hi, all. Busy week! I've been checking in from time to time, but haven't had a chance to post. Good news for me, I think. I've been responding really well to the new protocol, so we've moved everything up 2 days, which means ER tomorrow morning. Looks like there are a bunch of us on nearly the same schedule, so it'll be interesting to compare notes.

rs, what a disappointment! Different people really have different reactions to the same meds, though, so don't lose hope. Your RE will find the combination that works for you.

turtlesonastump, remember that the ones that don't make it wouldn't have been viable anyway, so now you're down to the really promising embryos.

jcurlygirl, 7 is a great number to work with. Good luck with the embryos and hopefully you're just having a tough recovery.

I fell off the list, so update below. I didn't know how to add the flashy signs, though:

Almost forgot I have a question: Until today, I was feeling fuller and fuller each day, really bloated. Last night I took the HCG shot and today I don't feel that full. Is there any chance I ovulated before the ER?
