Hi Ladies!

I've been reading this thread and decided to join. Congratulations to all the BFPs! It makes me so optimistic to read the success stories. This is our first time with IVF. Unlike most on this thread, I had 3 embies transferred on day 2. The rationale: we had only 4 of 5 eggs fertilize and my RE wanted to tranfer 3, so the embryologist didn't feel it was necessary to wait to day 3, since there would be no real selection benefit. He felt the best thing to do was to place them back in their natural environment (the uterus) as soon as possible. I was on bedrest for 48 hrs but will plan to return to work tomorrow. Been feeling very bloated since the ER.

Anyhow, I was interested in details of the egg quality of the embies that people had transferred. We had a 4-cell grade B+, a 7-cell grade B+, and a 5-cell grade B-. Just wondering if there's a correlation between embryo grade and implantation rates.

Thanks for letting me join in!

Blue, welcome to the 2ww!!

I dont know about the grades/implantation. But, I must say, I've seen some girls on here with perfect embies and end up with BFN, then I've seen girls on here with 3 celled highly fragmented embies and get BFP. So, try not to stress too much about that and relax and try to enjoy the 2ww. Easier said than done

Dakota - Thanks for the kind words. I know IVF is not an exact science, but I keep attempting to make the round pegs fit into these square holes. :) Good luck today with your Beta. Like you, I am also doing acupuncture...hope it makes a difference. Did you go for treatments during the 2ww, and if so, how often?

Blue, I so know what you mean. I have over analyzed EVERYTHING. I've been horrible.
Yes, I did AP during the 2ww. I had an apt scheduled for the day of ET, but my pulse was irratic so he couldnt treat me, but then I only went once since then and I have an apt tomorrow.

Blue05 - Welcome to the 2ww, it's a blast :D I really wanted to transfer 3 embies, but RE, embryologist and DH wouldn't let me...worried about having triplets I guess. Just like Dakota said, it seems a bit random on who gets the BFP and who gets the BFN, with regards to great quality and not so great quality embryos. I've seen it all over the map. I just say wait it out and pray for the best! Good luck and hope to see your BFP very soon.

Angram - Thanks for the warm welcome. My RE wanted to be aggressive given my elevated FSH. He only gave us a 30% chance with IVF despite my age. Honestly, we are hoping for twins but are prepared to deal with triplets, I think. I've already had a dream I had to go buy 3 car seats! :)

Blue05 - I hope you get your wish of twins, that's what we're hoping for as well :)

Well I got a call from the embryologist this morning and none of our 7 remaining embryos made it to freeze. 4 made it to day 6, 2 of them were blasts, but they weren't good enough quality to freeze. I knew that was a possibility, but I'm totally devastated today. I called DH to let him know (he's out of town) and I just broke down crying at work. He told me not to stress out, that our little one's snuggling in right now can hear me :) Anyway, I've been having AF type cramps since last night and I'm 9dpo. I'm trying my best not to read into anything and praying that these cramps are good. Also having slight leg cramping, has anyone else had this and got a BFP?

Hope everyone is doing well!!
