Tin - thanks for the tips!

I remember having the stuffy nose with my first pregnancy but that didn't hit me till around my 3rd trimester!!

This one hits me on my first trimester!! oh yeah I figured it will prolly only gonna get worse as my body gets bigger and bigger, and my nose swollen LOL

Chelly - I'm so glad to hear your m/s is getting better, hope it's gone for good. I have been drinking lots and lots of milk not sure why but I have been going thru gallons of em LOL

Denise - Like you I feel flutters in my tummy and I know it's not due to gas or anything.. I think it's the babies moving but of course the movement isn't as intense as it will get further along..

Hope everyone else is doing great!

sameera- maybe the stuffy nose hit you faster since you are with twins this time. I am so looking forward to feeling the baby moving...we could see it swimming on the last u/s! Have you started wearing maternity clothes yet? I haven't but I am having trouble squeezing into my regular clothes...I can't quite button everything so I've been using safety pins to hold them. I'm not showing, just getting thicker in the tummy I guess!

Tin- You will be amazed to see how big your baby has gotten! Mine grew so much in just 10 days...almost doubled in CRL! I am glad I'm not the only one who is disgusted at meat...I've been dying for tuna fish, but I'm trying to hold out. I eat a lot of beans too, but I can't do milk for some reason. I can eat string cheese, but that's about it. I was so starving yesterday and I got a mini-cheesburger but I had to practically force it down.

If anyone has some good non-meat protein suggestions I am all ears!

God Bless!

Chelly - I'm in desperate need of new clothes!! none of my pants fit me - I cannot even zip em!! I do wear a long shirt so it covers the zipper even though my pants are not ZIPPED LOL

I was thinking and debating if I should go spend money and buy clothes or if I should just suck it up and wear these for few more weeks and then go buy new ones..

cause i am not going to get slimmer any more just more bigger everyday and i dunno what i am gonna do as weeks progress.

sameera- do you have any friends that recently gave birth or are bigger than you? If they make maternity clothes that will grow with you, then it wouldn't be so bad to buy some now. Do you work in an office where you have to dress up? Fortunately for me I wear scrubs, and my scrubs have drawstrings so I can wear them for quite a while! I can't wait to start showing...its so funny to tell people you are pregnant but you don't look it!

Chelly - none of my friends are pregnant..but my best friend she is like 5'10 and is chunky set so I doubt her clothes are gonna fit me :(

Yes, I do work in downtown and it's very business type place so you have to dress up nicely all the time, that is why i'm having difficulty..

Lucky you that you don't have to worry about wearing anything fancy.

Hi Everyone...

So my posts might be a little more limited as I am training someone this week! Can't check out how everyone is doing until I get home from work.

So I had my first OB appointment today and my IPS ultrasound and bloodwork. As of today they have confirmed that I am 13 weeks! Yippee! The baby was jumping up a storm! The liitle bean just wouldn't sit still. I got 5 really good pictures this time. I think I have almost 15 pictures already! I'm a little sad that I won't be having another ultrasound until Aug 6th. Once the baby is born I am going to put all my ultrasounds on a disk so I can keep it for the baby to show them their growth from time of conception to delivery. I think it will be quite nice to have.

So food! Not sure one day something tastes good and another day I can't stand the site or smell of it. I haven't quite figured it out yet! I do have to say I have one major craving which is milk. I go through 4 litres in about 2 days.

sweetmonkey- sounds like you have an active baby! can you feel anything yet? I saw ours swimming last time too. It will be weird not to be having so many u/s anymore, but I guess the further along we get we don't need them as much? I am doing the same thing with my u/s pics, I have been scanning and sending them to our parents and friends. Right now they are stacked up on the fridge, but I am thinking about doing a scrapbook for baby's 1st year.

sameera- well girl I think its time to treat yourself to a mini shopping spree! Might as well b/c we won't be fitting into our old clothes for at least another year! My work style is drawstring scrubs, sneakers, and hair pulled back in a ponytail. I do put on makeup, so I don't scare my patients!

God Bless!

Michele - I unfortunately can't feel the baby's movement yet but it looks like i have a very active baby.

Sameera - I already started wearing some maternity clothes. I bought some pants that should fit me until almost the end.

So today happens to be one of those days that I feel like I have been hit by a MACK truck. I am exhausted. I still have almost 4 hours left of work and don't know how I am going to manage. I really wish that the exhaustion I feel will slow down soon.

Hope everyone is well.

jenn- I know exactly how you feel! I read on the websites that we should be scheduling 'naps' during the day, I was like, yeah right, I don't have time for that! I wish I could sleep better at night, but I have to get up to potty and then I toss and turn. I think I crashed out at 9:15 last night, I don't even remember DH coming to bed!

sameera- my gums are sore too, they don't bleed but it hurts when I brush. I had to start using the kids bubblegum flavor toothpast b/c the other stuff made me gag.

God Bless!

chelly - you are hilarious! yeah, well i guess I am gonna have to move from regular toothpaste to kids toothpaste as well :)

Although I have started using Humidifier so it helps with my stuffy nose in the morning!

Our work does have "SICK ROOM" but i feel guilty to go in there and take a nap.. i mean what if my nap is longer than 15-20 mins!!

How's everyone else doing??

Sameera/Michele

My neurologist is only here on wednesdays so normally i have access to the room but i never know if she is going to stop by while she is seeing inpatients. so i don't actually sleep I just lay in the room and relax.

I haven't had any gum tenderness yet but when I wake up to pee my breasts are so tender and sore. I wish that would stop!

Chelly - non-meat protein suggestions: nuts are good - don't know if you have the big peanut allergy thing in the States, but it's big here. But non-peanuts are good to snack on. Also, soy products are very high. I ate a bag of salted pretzels yesterday and was surprised to read the label and it was 10% protein! Who'd have thought that the answer could be pretzels?! Anyway, wheat has some in, but keep going on your stringy cheese for a boost!

Sameera - I had to go to a charity shop and buy a few shirts for work in 2 sizes bigger than normal. I'm very small (4'11 and v petite b4 pregnancy!) and most of my clothes are fitted tight, so everything shows heaps! My town has loads of charity shops so I didn't have to spend much. My one pair of trousers that fits has safety pins in a row that I can choose which one to use depending on the time of day!! LOL! V jealous of Chelly's scrubs!

Jenn - Can't wait to see my baby - hope it's as active as yours! I am exhausted too, but it's a good excuse to get DH running around for me! Wish I could sleep at work, but it's open plan office with boss next to me. At least I work from home 2 days a week - bed...pillows...mhhh!

In the UK you get free dental checks if you're pregnant due to increased risk of gum disease. Brush and floss as thoroughly as possible! (with whatever flavour toothpaste is bearable!) Is anyone else on this thread from the UK?

Tin- thanks for the suggestions. I have been eating almonds with my fruit and cheese; I made cold chicken salad the other day and I tolerated that ok. I think my m/s is slowly starting to get better and the hunger is starting to kick in. I would love to work from home, but knowing me I wouldn't get anything done!

sweet/sameera- I have a semi-empty storage room in my clinic, i am so tempted to bring a cot & pillow to sneak naps in there...but then again I drool so I'd probably come out with drool all over my face!

Have yall had any pains in your lower tummy? I get these pains on my sides, like where the ovaries are...not cramping but like stretching or growing pains. I don't think its anything serious, I just don't know what to make of it since this is my 1st pregnancy. Maybe my uterus is growing more?

God Bless!
