Angram. I had and still have AF type cramps. Some even got pretty severe. They really started to come on full force at 6dp5dt, which if you did a 6dt, that is about the same time. I also got leg cramps and I still do. They are really achy today.

I am sorry that you didnt get any frosties. I'll pray that you dont need them as you have two buns in the oven baken right up :D

Cheekskuss - Thanks for the welcome and congratulations on your BFP! Hope you're feeling well and starting to enjoy the pregnancy.

Dakota - I had to read your signature line to see the BFP! I'm so excited for you! Congratulations!

Angram - You will test a few days before me. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you! Try not to focus on the frosties, although it's easier said than done.

General question: I've been feeling bloated since my ER and occasionally have cramps, especially on the left (the side from which most of the eggs came). I've been waking up in the middle of the night feeling generally blah and am unable to go back to sleep. Are these symptoms normal?

blue - Thanks for the well wishes, I'm trying my best to keep the PMA. I was the same way after ER, also on the left side, and the cramps have come and gone since then. I think the cramping is normal, so I wouldn't be too concerned unless it's just downright painful. They should have prescribed you some sort of pain pill, if it's too bad. I haven't had the sleeping issue, other than having to use the restroom every single night at 3AM for the past week :) Good luck to you!!

Hi all,
I am being driven crazy by the 2ww. I had my transfer last Thursday and I go in on day 12 and if it's positive than again on day 14. So I go in a week from today on July 1. I've had some cramping but that's about it, no other symptoms. I don't feel pregnant but I've never been pregnant so I don't know. I keep telling myself that most people don't start experiencing symptoms until after they miss their first period so this is probably normal??

I feel like I'm in this strange limbo between extreme happiness and extreme sadness and I just have to keep it together until next Tuesday when I know which way to go.

I'm trying to find things to do but I'm also a teacher (saw there were a few of us on this thread) and I didn't plan anything for this part of the summer because I didn't know what this whole experience would be like.

I've re-watched a bunch of Sex and the City seasons, done a ton of reading, played a bunch of mindless online games, taken my dogs on walks, done a few things with friends but I'm going crazy!

Did I mention this is my first IVF...anyway, thanks for reading, I just had to get this out of my system.

Angram - My RE prescribed Tylenol with Codeine for pain after the ER and instructed me to take Tylenol for my cramps after the ET. I was told not to take Ibuprofen, since it can prevent implantation. I've occasionally used Tylenol if the cramps get bad, but overall, trying to stay as med-free as possible. It's bad enough I have to take the progesterone shots and all the other IVF meds. Can you tell, I'm not a fan of medicaitons?! :)

Bell-02 - Welcome! I'm not sure what symptoms are and what symptoms aren't "normal" with IVF. According to my RE, cramps are to be expected after ER and ET and may continue for a week. If pregnancy occurs, symptoms may not subside. Many on this thread have described a host of symptoms (headache, leg cramps, abdominal cramps, breast tenderness, nausea, etc.). It's hard to distinguish what's pregnancy-induced and what's medication-induced.

I've been pregnant naturally 2x. The 1st was a chemical pregnancy, but I did have symptoms probably a week after ovulation; I broke out on my face and was unusually hungry. My coworkers actually suspected I was pregnant, even though I didn't think of it at the time. (We were still on the fence about having a baby and were not actively trying to conceive.) The second pregnancy ended in MC at 7 wks. This time, we were actively trying, so I really tried not to zero in on any symptoms (for fear of disappointment). I wasn't unusually hungry during that pregnancy and overall, there was no overt signs. I just somehow felt "different," which prompted me to take a HPT. Even after my doc confirmed the pregnancy up until the MC, I never had any symptoms that people classically describe.

So, to answer your question, I don't think all pregnancies are the same even in the same person, and symptoms definitely will differ for different people. I'm trying not to read into anything I'm feeling, because with IVF, there's so many variables. Hang in there and good luck!

Thanks Blue!!!!

Welcome Bell!! I understand going insane during the 2ww. I went NUTS!! I was a crazy women. I stressed over every little thing. I had alot of cramping and spotting before my beta and I was going nuts.
I had really bad headaches, leg cramps, major hot flashes, cramps, spotting and wow the hunger is out of this world!! That started about 3 days before my beta, but I had already done a HPT at that point. I did read about the hunger and found out it is very normal and only last about 2 weeks.

Good luck and take it easy!!

bell-02 - I'm also in the 2ww and going absolutely insane! I work fulltime, but had my ER and ET last week, so took the entire week off. I've also worked from home a bit this week and can't seem to think about anything but whether or not I'm pregnant :) This is my 2nd time around and I had a BFN the first time, so I'm not sure how I should be feeling. Blue is right, it seems everyone of us has a different experience. The progesterone is an ugly beast in that it produces all types of pregnancy symptoms, as if we didn't have enough to worry about :) My ET was last Wednesday, and I've been having AF type cramps for the past 3 days, leg cramps off and on, and my BB's have been pretty sore and feeling quite heavy since yesterday. I'm pretty sure most of this is from the progesterone, so I'm trying my best not to read into anything and keep myself together until my beta Sunday morning. Good luck in this crazy 2ww, can't wait to see your BFP!

Blue - Totally agree with you on the meds. I haven't taken Tylenol since this process started, which has been needed a couple of times so far :)

Also in the Two week wait

Post by MsSassy78 »

It seems that this is the longest two weeks of my life.... I continue to maintain my regular daily activities to try and keep my mind off of it but every other thought is spent analyzing every little thing I think might feel or don't feel. I know everyone is different but at one moment I swear I feel nothing nothing at all then I might feel a twinge or a cramp and I wonder what it could be things were pretty noticeable the first few days but now nothing I barely feel anything. I keep wondering is that good or bad.i read about sore swollen BB's but I'm not experiencing swelling just a little discomfort but probably from me squeezing to see if they hurt lol, I'm just not sure what to make of this and don't know if I did or didn't do the right things I'm taking my shots and suppositories and I sit all day at work and lay when I come home I guess it's just the wait getting to me but the feeling that I feel nothing lately makes me nervous is this normal? I have had som leg cramping here or there I can't sleep through the night with out a trip to the potty and I'm hungry more but nothing else I transferred 3 perfect embies according to my RE on 6/19 the day before my 30th birthday so i'm thinking maybe they are my present :D well anyway now i don't feel much of anything an occasional twinge on the left side no spotting or major cramping though....any thoughts?

Hi everyone,
I'm also in my 2WW and have been following your messages. It's so reassuring to hear we are all in the same boat. The progesterone is also confusing the heck out of me also. I started off with a sore throat for a couple days, then came the restless leg syndrome so i couldn't fall asleep, then 4 and 5 dpt i started getting the period like symptoms, now today at 6dpt they're gone and i'm all freaked out..asking myself..what's this mean? where are they? is this good or bad?? :? you have to admit it's sort of humerous to think we're all going through the same thing, yet at the same time i'm so freaked out!

i test on the 30th, 11dpt. it's my first ivf. i'm praying for everyone and good luck.

ps. if only my boobs would stay this firm for the rest of my life

maineknitter - Welcome to the 2ww club :) I test in 3 days (day before you) and I'm going absolutely insane! It really doesn't seem fair that the progesterone gives us pregnancy symptoms, but oh well, just another thing to add to this already wonderful journey :) I am enjoying the slightly larger boobs though, since I'm already incredibly small and they've gotten just a tad larger :) Good luck!!

MsSassy78 - I tend to agree, the 2 weeks are just crawling by! I've been crampy since Monday afternoon, but feel absolutely nothing today..making me crazy. I hope you received a beautiful present on your birthday and those little one's decided to stick around. It seems you, me, and maineknitter will all be testing around the same time, I hope 3x is a charm :)

cheekskuss - I am so sorry to hear about your aunt and pray that she's able to win this fight! I'm happy to hear your 3rd beta is rising, that is great news!
